  1. 1. In the past I prefer to use IBM ThinkPads. 1.1. Where in the early years of Geomancy.net, majority of the resources was produced using them. 2. The first laptops produced by IBM was either only: the 3 series and the 7 series. The 3 series is their base model. (Similar to BMW = 3 series. While their 7 series is more Atas! Like the BMW = 7 series. LOL) 2.1. This was IBM 386XD 11.3" TFT. Photo shows an IBM ThinkPad 700C. (C stands for colour0. Where the chassis is very much similar to the 386XD. 3. Missed the feel of it’s keyboard. And removable hard disk feature. 4. I also had purchased a docking stations for them. At that time, a mouse, other …

  2. 1. Previously, I used a smartphone app that says ... take a snapshot of a leaf; and leave it to the program to identify the tree. 2. This application gave a totally wrong tree! Deleted the app... yet need to subscribe it monthly or yearly! LOL! 3. Finally, today, asked a client who owns Eco Scape https://www.eastec.com.sg : What is the actual name of this “umbrella” tree... Combretaceae (Bucida molinetti = Italian name of this tree) 4. Also commonly known as Indian Almond and Ketapang family tree. 5. For me, I shall still call these trees simply as umbrella trees.. LOL 6. Light green version.. these trees are four years old:- 7. Dark…

  4. Many practitioners todaylearndestiny and fengshui analyses in order to cash in and get wealthyvia this ancient Chinese mystical field, not primarily to help others. This is diametically opposite to the ideals of the bazi and fengshuipatriarchs of yore, such as Yang Jiuping,Guo Pu,Li Xuzhong,Xu Ziping,Jiang Dahong and Shen Zhureng.Global fengshui factorshave shifted in suchmanner that today, personal and social moralities have to inexorablygive way to materialism and hedonism in one's personal life.To achieve theseends, one needs toseek ways and means to make as muchmoney as possible, and quickly too, including resorting to ancientesoteric knowledge and practices, even if deep dow…

  5. I am rather suspicious of fengshui practitioners who hawk products. We can use ordinarythings like metal beds or wooden beds, household plantsetc, which are equally effective if used in the correct amounts and placed in theright positions. No need to waste money on attractive but expensive thingslike"100% jadeite" objects that purportedly help todraw in wealth. It seems that "qi" adjustments by the"master" is not enough. You need to further buy their products after paying an arm or a leg for their consultations. These things certainlydo draw in wealth. But only for the "master",and from gullible and s…

Hi fellow forum users Well, I'd like to share just two of the many changes that have happened in my "orbit". 1. The family business has been doing well, but I wanted to see it do better. So I looked at the Flying Star chart done for the office and noted that I had hung a solid six rod windchime in the appropriate sector. On Cecil's advice I changed it to six hollow rods, turnover has increased by 40%, profits are up and four new people have been added to the payroll to help with the volume of work. 2. My daughter works in the family business. She is a weak wood. Is always feeling tired at work, even though she sleeps well and is in good health. After pondering over this m…

  8. First of all, I hope you, your family + loved ones & friends are staying safe during this turbulent time. Better days ahead! Let's hope that this Lock-down will not be extended another fortnight ++. But it looks that way now...for more weeks... Personally, I find the term: Circuit Breaker, a colourful term + an air of sophistication + wholly ambiguous especially for the elderly. No wonder read that a few got into an entanglement with the law. When one elderly man eat at his Void deck furniture fixture. And another elderly lady had her food seated at a hawker centre. When we were taught English. One best example was Ernest Hemingway’s classic …

Location: Woodlands Street 31 Not many prata stalls in Singapore sells crispy prata. The prata should not be salty or burnt. In addition, this stall’s curry sauce is “creamy” and full of fragrant flavours: Eaten once a while is ok. Not for daily consumption. Two other locations has this: 1. Jalan Kayu 2. Joo Chiat : Mr and Mrs Mohgan's Super Crispy Roti Prata. Formerly the elderly couple were located at Crane Road. Their specialty is the sambal gravy to go with their crispy prata.

  16. They only sell one variety of noodles = Mee Pok The food is light but with a balanced flavour. Their cheapest $5.50 contains a unique one slice of rehydrated fish maw and a moist braised-poached melt-in the mouth half-an-egg. Portions are reasonable..but nice. Unfortunately.. one complaint is that their chilli is dull.. don't give that kind-of-kick!

  18. Eunos Market & Hawker Centre was burned down and rebuilt in the past. Trivia: Do you know that other than Geylang Serai Food Centre, Eunos Hawker Centre has the 2nd most non-Chinese stalls in Singapore. Over-heard one lady staying in Eunos Crescent that there were really few if any good food stalls in the Eunos Market & Hawker Centre. Most likely, her taste was for Chinese food. She commented that she missed many stalls located at the Marine Crescent market and Food centre which was closed till next year for refurbrishment. We lined up at the few popular "Hand made Fish Ball stall" as shown in the Blue arrow: Green arrow shows a…
