THE TRACKLESS TROLLEY OF SINGAPORE The early history of Singapore is shrouded in mystery. It seems to be established that the Malays settled there 1360 A.D., followed in 1377 A.D. by the Javanese who had invaded the island. Marco Polo does not mention it though he wintered in Sumatra on his way backin Europe. It was supposed to have been an important trading center in the early centuries, but when Great Britain acquired it, it was wholly uninhabited save by a few families of wild Malay fisher folk andl was a rendezvous of pirates. Today it is one of the world's chief distributing points for the commerce of all nations, truly a "crossroads of the world." Under British ru…

I don't think it is for inserting an umbrella as the hole looks or seems too small for some umbrellas. Or is it because it ain't raining? 4. Have not seen anyone at this market making full use of this small circular "hole". 5. Neither does the cleaner "push" food remains into this circular hole? 6. What do you think this hole is for?

Nowadays, Singapore Post Office (SingPost) don't deliver mails on Saturdays. And on occasions, I have encountered posting ordinary mails and the other party claimed that they did not receive it especially when posted in such letter boxes all over Singapore. Now I get! To me such, I have never ever seen such a signage placed so visible on a letter box, before (ever!) Is the message on top of the box trying to imply something? Please read between the lines....

  14. Please don't look at the photos especially if you are about to eat something or have eaten your fill.... Using broken glass to line or protect the walls of homes were very common in the past. Let's say it was acceptable in the 1960's. In the past, the glass shards were relatively shallow and smaller. But wow! The glass shards here are certainly meant to "murder" someone! Very scary stuff!

I understand that you are a newbie. But, hope you understand, this is not a purely spoon feeding forum. Where you give your personal info and presto! An answer will drop down from the sky! Please post questions that are relevant to all. Not just about, Me, I, my. Of course in the most used words in the English dictionary are these words. But, you sure post it to the wrong forum.

I understand that you are a newbie. But, seriously, even many newbies care to do more homework before posting such a question. In my opinon, those who post such a question, (sigh)... should make some EFFORT or even a little effort in using the fingers to do more walking.... This forum is not new, and there are lots of resources in this forum alone stretching up to 1999 or earlier.. Please reflect closely.. your question is like: asking us how to tie a shoe! I know, in the past, in the show the Last ChineseEmperor Pu Yi; he did not know how to tie his shoes; that is understandable. He was a emperor.

In the 1990's and even in 2002, large influencial sites like Geomancy.net with it's huge resources on Feng Shui was literary blocked in China. 3. As previously the late Chairman Mao, during the communist time, felt that either Feng Shui is a threat or a belief. 4. Fortunately, in the last few years, whilst in China, I tried to log in to my website: Geomancy.net and was pleasantly surprised that it is no longer filtered or blocked. 5. At that time, I don't know why, but China considered Feng Shui a religion. 6. Just imagine, Feng Shui is a Chinese institution and at that time; C…
