  4. Quote: Every few weeks, I see people either locked in or locked out due to faulty smart locks. Just want to remind people to only get smart locks that has a mechanical override at ALL COST - meaning that you still can open it with a key. You don’t want to be stuck outside after a long day outside at 11pm, end up calling up a locksmith who would reluctantly arrive only 2 hours later and charge you $500 to open it because you are desperate. Or taken hostage at home with a door that won’t open. Even those with a emergency charging port, may not help because it may not be a battery issue. Source and Credit of the above extract:

Sweet white and a bit sappy ... the core is a brown inedible seed. The external has a snake like skin...The fruit has a nice light fragrant smell. If eaten too much.. can feel kinda indigestion....but no harm... though!

  7. Singapore Improvement Trust plans on Tiong Bahru Estate was built along/around Chinese Hokkien cemetery land. Which includes land currently occupied by S.G.H. This estate consists of 504 flats and a market. From the attachment one can see that the flats are conservatively laid out in uniform and orderly fashion. As much as possible, the roads are laid out also in orderly grid. If all the wordings were blank-out; believe me - if I sat that a quick glance: I could have mis-read it (mistaken) as a colonial British naval base. With warships parked along this wharf...

Many of us just walk past coffee-shop furniture without blinking an eye. When I see this elderly lady utilize this iconic chair. I see both the pure beauty of the form and function of this chair! Even if this chair looks dated. This is why I believe so many new kopi-tiams; food courts etc.. don't stock it any more. Does not blend with their modernistic décor? Who cares... Contrast this with the photo of the stylish green chairs. Although both chairs should provide comfortable seating.. but this green chair lacks the added function. Let's hope more coffee-shops; Chinese restaurants like Soup Restaurant etc.. …

  9. Location: Spice & Spices Block 79 Redhill Market The elderly auntie took over her mum’s stall. She and her husband runs the stall. Recently her son helps at the stall. My mum says, one of the best dried powder spices (if not) the best in Singapore. As the dry powder can keep very Long. They also sell the wet ones. But this is meant for immediate consumption. A long time ago tried purchasing at Geylang Serai market. What a disappointment... as they add too much flour.. terrible.. This is a dying trade. Especially so, as told by her son: "Spices are cheap. But nowadays they have to sent the ingredients to a factory…

  10. Tao payoh rojak and Lao Fu Zi Fried Kuay Teow Unfortunately these two foods should not be consumed frequently. Chinese rojak even if one asks for no sugar, the prawn paste is already loaded with sugar! Concern of Type 2 diabetes. Fried Kuay Teoh if lard is used or even not; is rather oily.. daily consumption is not adviced!

What is so special about this one is that unlike many others, there is a variety of different vegetables. Where many others have only cabbageas the only vegetable... Plus it is flavourful without the awful smell of garlicky flavours from some other stalls...

The Health Promotion Board (HPB) embeds healthy living into Singaporeans' everyday environments, so that it's easy to make healthier choices. We reach residents where they live, play, learn and work. In schools, children and youth are instilled with healthier lifestyle habits. At workplaces, health programmes are brought to the doorstep of workers to make healthy living convenient and accessible. Within the community, we foster a spirit of togetherness and an ecosystem of support for residents to embrace healthy living anytime, anywhere.

Northpoint city Just T.O.P. So Long as the government continues to increase the population; these brick and mortar shops may survive. Else, you see one; you see all. Harvey Norman.. blah blah blah.. Previously topped up several Bagus food court cards at Woodlands.. then it closed down..and swallowed the amounts in the prepaid card. Now the Bagus, here gave me a bitter aftertaste.

  18. Can I check in terms of fengshui, any impact if we change the main door from the current wood one to a glass door pls? Happy New Year! Not Feng Shui, but for condos not allowed to anyhow change. Main doors adjacent to elevators must have a fire rating of at least 30 minutes. During my most recent visit to a client at Yew Mei Green EC in 2023, I noticed that they had replaced their main door with a completely different one due to a significant crack in the existing door. Interestingly, their neighbor had also upgraded their front door. It is worth noting that both new doors do not quite complement the exterior design of the other existing doors [o…

Glad to learn that Broadway Coffee Shop at Damai is one of the first that is completely smoke free. As often in many other coffee shops; even if one sits far away from the smoking area; the fans would bring the smelly smoke towards us non-smokers area. Had a pleasant experience, here: fresh air. Approximate location of this coffee shop:-
