This is what the PAP has transformed into for the last decade, telling us the half-truth! Let me quote you another example. Back during my NS days with the 5th Singapore Infantry Regiment, my CO was a president scholar. Because he wanted us to win the Best Infantry Award, he insist that we set a record timing for a 40km route march. On the day of the route march, he instructed all OCs to get those weaklings to report sick regardless of whether they are sick or not. Also, an order was given to our Medical O…

    1. This popular porridge (pork & fish) + raw fish stall is opened for just a few hours in the morning: 1.1 From: 6am to 9am from Monday to Friday. It does not open on Saturdays and Sundays. 1.2 The above excludes the preparation of the raw fish and other ingredients. 2. Most likely the sellers benefit from low rental and their popularity. See the queues. 3. I am also one of the guilty ones that faithfully line-up at 6am whenever I have assignments close-by. This is because there were times (in the past that I went there at close to 9am and was even told - "no more" - closed) and were the unlucky ones in the queue to be told about it.

    1. Many of the letter boxes in Singapore public housing i.e. Housing & Development Board Flats have letter boxes that have sealed openings to prevent outsiders from placing especially flyers into these letter boxes. 2. Only the postman is suppose to have the master key to unlock the back of all letter boxes to allow him to post letters into individual letter boxes. 3. During one of the nights, "caught" this lady (on camera) inserting fliers into letter boxes. She uses a ruler to try to push or force open the letter box lid. Here, I believe she is paid by someone to help insert their flyers. 4. How do you call this? Vandalism?? Or is she doing a decent job? 5.…

  12. They only sell one variety of noodles = Mee Pok The food is light but with a balanced flavour. Their cheapest $5.50 contains a unique one slice of rehydrated fish maw and a moist braised-poached melt-in the mouth half-an-egg. Portions are reasonable..but nice. Unfortunately.. one complaint is that their chilli is dull.. don't give that kind-of-kick!

  17. Pencil Tree (Euphorbia tirucalli) I have observed this tree in a smaller form in several locations, though not frequently. I had no idea what our house number meant until last week, so bear with me... I insisted to my boyfriend that we relocate to this cutesy art deco apartment, from California to Nevada. He said "ok". Upon analysing the apartment number 26, it means "Where the female goes the male follows". We are really happy here. I am learning so much through this web site. Thanks Cecil Julie

Hi, Sorry for the delay in reply. Besides other activities, Robert and myself were busy configuring each of our new notebook to cater for the increased mails. The purpose of calling this entire site - Center for Feng Shui Research is that: 1. We are not restricted by practising only one School of Feng Shui or owe allegiance to only one " Master ". Overall, as you can see, it is good to learn Feng Shui from many Masters. Personally, I now have at least more than 400 books on Feng Shui both Chinese: from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and many others. 2. Like the Kung Fu movies we see, you will notice that the actors usually start off getting `bullied' and as a result they lea…

  21. My personal aversion to glass table tops stems from several factors. 1. This is primarily due to its incompatibility with porcelain, mugs, and glass materials. 2. The sound produced when these items come into contact with the glass surface is unappealing, regardless of how carefully they are placed on the table. 3. Additionally, using a plastic surface protector detracts from the aesthetic, as it becomes unsightly with the bubbles that form on its surface. Frequently, the surface area becomes adhesive [sticky] as a result of the plastic covering.

Dear Anon, 1. I totally agree with you on what you have said. 2. Where possible, the strongest weightage should be word of mouth from close friends or relatives (if possible). 3. I have seen quite alot of cases where: 3.1. We not only have to try to `cure' but also first reverse some of the damage done by these practitioners. 3.2. This is usually where either: the `practitioner' over sell or is not sure: - Over sell : This is where the `practitioner' brings along products e.g. several windchimes, etc.. and asks the owner to place them. Thus make more money out of it. Usually, these are the famous Black Hat Sect Feng shui. - Trying to " play-safe ": This is where, the Fe…
