Dear Carol, Apologies, I am unable to comment on `bagua placement' as it is not a proper form of Traditional Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Appended by Cecil: Thanks. From the various write-ups, it was just a hoax. But it was "so real" that it was reported to the authorities and an investigation was carried out and the person who wrote / design the website was called up. Thnks. Bonsai kittens are a myth. It's been proven that it is a myth. Numerous investigations were performed and it was proven that it was a hoax. wrote in message news:16524.4331@forum.geomancy.net...

The purpose of bringing up this (unverified) story is that, it is always good to check on the `past' history of the place you are intending to buy especially if it is for sale at a very (very) attractive price. One way is that we could perhaps check with the neighbours .... ------ Some comments -------- Don't know how true this story is!!!! Scary! ----- Extract of unknown article ----- I still remember when my office phone rang, my wife was on the line saying that she spotted a maisonette (a two level flat/apartment) in The Strait Time and it was in Jurong West Street 42 Block 547, Singapore and the price was attractive!!. So we arranged a viewing with the agent and boug…

Dear Rosie, Apologies for the late reply. If you have determined using Flying Star and found that this is a misfortune area, usually this #5 should be looked at in conjuction with the other two Flying Star numbers of that sector. For example, mountain #5, water star #2, base star #3 - under Flying Star, and using the Five Elements concept, this sector is out of balance. You can use metal cures to neutralise the imbalance caused at this sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chris, In my opinion, a holistic method of analysing a specific unit is to:- 1. Although Suntec City has been `feng shuied' not all `fingers' or areas within the building can be considered to have "exceptional" Feng Shui. 2. This is where, Shapes and Form comes in. Other than offices; if one is looking at locations of activity or e.g. a food outlet; it would be ideal to be located near to the region of the fountain. This is where, in reality most of the restaurants and food court is located. 3. For office complex; one needs to look at it in relation to other `fingers' and also to check on external threats. 4. For the unit on level 28; one can still look at it interms…

Dear Emily, Based on what you mentioned, the use of metal is often the common most effective cure as using 6 coins tied with a red string and simply hang it in that direction. However, what you have provided is the apartment number, usually for Apartment number, the main interpretation is usually auspicious or inauspicious. How much an impact it will create on you and your family depends greatly on the flying star analysis of your main door and the rooms which you stay in. As these are the areas where you are staying in most of time in the house which affects you most. So whether or not the house number analysis will really come true or not depends on the analysis of the…

This is a short write-up on the legend of the Three-legged toad. Which I had included in the Poll of the Three-legged toad:- There are two versions to the legend of the Three-legged toad:- 1. A Chinese Immortal Lui Hai was said to live in the era of the Sung dynasty in the province of Shensi. According to legend, he was the general who successfully fought off Lord Liu (Master of the Sea Toad). To this a statute of Immortal Lui Hai with his three-legged Toad is considered the symbol for money-making. 2. A second version: Legend has it that there was once a Toad which lived in a deep well and emitted poisonous vapors. Immortal Lui Hai lured the creature with a string of gol…

TRUE SAD STORY There was once this guy who is very much in love with his girl. This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of papercranes as a gift to his girl. Although, at that time he was just a small fry in his company, his future doesn't seemed too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualise any future for the both of them, so let's go their own ways there and then ... Heartbroken, the guy agreed. But when he regain his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself. Finally with all these …

Dear Simon, Please see below:- Generally, the free reading you get is based on the version 7 where it only takes into account the 4 main pillars (hour, day, month, year). It does not yet take into account the two additional houses (House of Life and House of Conception) as in the version 8 reports. So it DOSE NOT provide a full reading. Also, because it is free, we did not fully analyse the various combinations/joins and clashes/harms/punishmens/self punishments. And lastly, it is all defaulted to the "weak" element. So you will only a basic reading but the fact that you are say a weak element (eg. weak wood). Means that your true element is a wood for example is 100% cor…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, I believe that; the middle east talks is a complicated process especially since, the Palestians were unfortunately `chased' out of their land when Jews settled to form their country with the blessing of the West. As Israel and occupied settlements (land area) is small, and where many Jews had settled in occupied territories... I believe peace can be a complicated process. With the escalating crisis; I think, "Feng Shui" has to take a `back seat' as it may not be of help in such siuations. But of course, picking good dates.. (if we consider the concept of Chinese divinity methods) may be help... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ernesto, The Chinese astrology is based on the five visible planets: Mercury Mars Venus Jupiter Saturn Each of these planets are related to an element: Mercury = water element Mars = Fire Venus = Metal Jupiter = Wood Saturn = Earth These five elements x the 12 Chinese zodiac signs represent = 60 year cycle. You are partially correct in that this 60 year cycle is reinforced by what we call the planet cycles or their full obit: Here, mercury takes 10 years to complete a full orbit; Mars = 15 years; Saturn 30 years and Jupiter = 12 years (other than venus) this approximately gives us around 60 years. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear TC, You can log-in to www.geomancy-online.com. There is free Flying Star House Number Report for high-rise building in the above site. It should normally be used in conjuction with the Flying Star Analysis: 1. The Flying Star House Number report looks only at vertical slice of a high-rise building where it is assumed that each level of a unit, differs. 2. The Flying Star Analysis takes into consideration only the horizontal analysis. Thus, both should be used instead of just using one method. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Frankly.. do take note that I am a male.. so I hope not to offer bias information but, hope to be as objective (as possible):- 1. Traditionally, many of the FS practitioners are male (in a typical male dominated country). It is not uncommon in the past for man rather than female to do such work. 2. Frankly, the original Feng Shui is not focused so narrowly at just the home or the interior of the home. Where perhaps, it would `rightly; be the domain of a female. 3. In the past, when we talk about Feng Shui, it is usually analysis based on very large projects such as an entire city or area of habitat. Not just narrowly focused to today's idea of the interior of t…

Dear Rick, 1. Overall, what we are trying to achieve is to increase our LUCK. 2. Feng Shui is about trying to increase our Earth Luck. 3. Feng Shui of the interior is just one aspect or a percentage of the total Earth Luck. 4. Thus, for example, the site and building or home may in certain cases account for say 30 to even 50 percent of the total Earth Luck. 5. In my opinion, the common fallacy of paying homage to a corner e.g. dressing up a corner is but say e.g. 1/8 of the total 8 or 9 sectors that is usually analysed. In more detailed analysis this can go further to 24 sectors etc... 6. Thus, it is like taking an exam. 6.1 If you are asked to answer 4 questions (which…

Dear Dhiren, 1. I hope I get your question correct. I am assuming that you are referring to Compass School of Feng Shui in your mention of "directionology ". (If not, please elaborate further on the meaning of " directionology"). 2. In this forum, I have mentioned my personal view of the different inclination each of us have i.e. more inclined towards either Shapes & Form or Compass School methods of Feng Shui. 3. Or the explanation offered that some of us are Right or Left 'brained' persons. Where some of us are more `artistic' while others are more mathematical or logical. 4. For example, some of us when we read a book we make sure we read from page 1, 2, 3 onwards.…

Dear Dhiren, 1. I hope I get your question correct: I believe you are asking about a " Geomancer " and " Feng Shui practitioner ". 2. In the Far East, many Feng Shui practitioners are known as a Geomancer rather than specifically called a Feng Shui practitioner or Master. Thus you will find many Geomancy companies with names like: " ABC Geomancy "; " Way Geomancy " etc... 3. Even Dr Evelyn Lip, a trained architect who researched on ' Feng Shui ' used the term " Geomancy " rather than Feng Shui. Thus in all her ' Feng Shui ' books, she give the title e.g. Basic Geomancy etc... 4. She also used the term a " Geomancer " instead of " Feng Shui practitioner " in the topics wr…

Dear Steven, It would depend on each case as no two situations are identical. Overall, when we talk of a waterfall, it can either be manmade or natural. But usually, it should be looked at a macro level i.e. the site. For example if it is a plot of land allocated to a condominium, the whole condominium project can be looked at (or must be looked at in total.) Good shapes are e.g. the horseshoe design layout; the U shape where your units are at the base of the `U' etc... I am afraid to give a standard answer to this as I mentioned, one has to look at the unit / house, the distance to the waterfall, the angle of the waterfall, the size and activity of water generated by th…

Dear Steven, Please see below:- Here, I am referring to either using the Eight House Theory or for advanced users, their Ba Zhi i.e. if they are a weak water person than, relate it to the location e.g. North = water element (which is not favourable to the weak fire person). For example, where East is the Sickness sector (for a period 7 house). Here, if this sector is considered inauspicious, one could inadvertently bounce back twice the `bad luck'. Dear Steven, 1. As Castles come in various designs, shape and profile i.e. differing in their top-down view and elevation, depending on the castle, it may be classified differently. 2. Overall, in my opinon in a very general sense, I would normally, view a castle especially if it is squarish as of the earth element. As mention, this is a general statement: 1. In my mind if the plot of land is squarish. 2. A castle because of the need for defense is always flat at the top even if there are towers e.g. at each corners. Even the towers are usually flat. (I am not referring to pointed roof toped `castles'). 3. Castles are made of huge blocks of stones and in my mind, would b…

Dear Linda, Please see below:- In my opinion, it is best not to place a mirror as it is not meant to "neutralise" this. A mirror is used for other situations and if used, it should usually be looked at with a perspective of the house either after having analysed the house by a FS practitioner or using Flying Star analysis in conjunction with Shapes and Form. For shapes and form, we look at how yin or dark this area is ... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kaushal, 1. I believe I have posted a lengthy reply on this subject in one of today's reponse to an earlier e-mail. In my opinion, in general, Feng Shui has an `indirect' relationship or effect on Love and romance or finding a partner. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui can help to identify and help. 3. Ultimately, human factors are equally essential. And this comes under Man or Human Luck. Warmest Regards Cecil
