  2. This is what you get when you combine robotics, the projection-mapping of 3D computer graphics, and an actor all working together in perfect synchronization. It's a five-minute short film called "The Box" ? and it's nothing short of revolutionary. The short film was produced by San Francisco-based design and engineering firm Bot & Dolly. It's the first of its kind ? an achievement the producers believe will "radically transform theatrical presentations and define new genres of expression." The creators describe the film as being both an ?artistic statement and technical demonstration?, one that explores ?the synthesis of real and digital space through projection mappi…

This is a short write-up on the legend of the Three-legged toad. Which I had included in the Poll of the Three-legged toad:- There are two versions to the legend of the Three-legged toad:- 1. A Chinese Immortal Lui Hai was said to live in the era of the Sung dynasty in the province of Shensi. According to legend, he was the general who successfully fought off Lord Liu (Master of the Sea Toad). To this a statute of Immortal Lui Hai with his three-legged Toad is considered the symbol for money-making. 2. A second version: Legend has it that there was once a Toad which lived in a deep well and emitted poisonous vapors. Immortal Lui Hai lured the creature with a string of gol…

I transit Beauty World.. and today realised that there is a "Chinese wedding shop". Caution: I have no dealings Nor bought anything; here. On apperance seems not much.. hmm Just that such shops are harder to find or sustain.. in SGP... Most likely since it is not in a high-end mall... but a 1979's type mall; hopefully it's price is not out of the world .. Other than During CNY, most decorative items are hard to find.. Also cannot say if it is around in the next few months or years.

Hello everyone: When I was in Hawaii I saw trees that looked like the shape of fish scales. I don't know the name of this tree but I believe it is in the pine family. I haven't seen these trees here in California. Would anyone know the name of this tree? I am curious as to whether having one on your property is "good luck" or portends "bad luck" in Chinese lore. Thank you.

  15. Edward Li Juming of Hongkong said the Hang Seng Index in 2008 will hit higher and higher points. He also said this year will see dreadful epidermics like Sars.He did notmention a word about the China blizzards at the beginning of 2008,or the Sichuan earthquake. He alsoproclaimed, like a demigod, that the love affair between Tony Leung and Carina Lau was not true, and that they would never marry. He also failed to predict the US financial crisis.......... All these were not insignificant events of 2008.Yet as a professional geomancer, and touted as an accurate auger,he did not manage to see these happening. Many other practitioners don't even dare to predict anything because …
