Dear Glyn, Please read below:- Nope it is not necessary. Whether or not is good or bad, it depends on additional compounded influence. For example, even if he is travelling in his bad direction (which everyone will do so sometime or other). It is the influences of that trip that makes the difference. For example this person is a weak wood, but his friends with him are weak water etc, they are heading for the mountain (with nature - wood, earth). His direction is travelling say West (Metal) which is unfavourable, but that along is not significant enough for any inauspicious or unhappy influence. Rather if his friends he is travelling is Strong Metal and maybe Strong …

Hi, It is not possible to predict time of death accurately unless you want to do a full detailed case study of a person for every year, month, day and hour? At best most Masters would do is give a general prediction of good or bad events. Do you know when would you encounter "Death"? It is encountered when very likely the 10-year period has a warning that you are unfavourable to that period. Remember a directional influence in the 10-yearly chart, if you ignore that and persist in travelling towards the direction of your unfavourable influence. That would again unfavourable influence towards you. In addition, if the annual luck is against you, or if there are any clashes…

Dear Brigitte, Thanks for bring up this interesting question:- 1. Human beings are very complex and currently there are many books written on human relationships, motivation, human interaction etc... but so far no book can explain in detail our personal interations. 2. Some situations are based on the maturity of the couples and the way they tolerate each other. 3. There are many influences on our lifes and relations such as our upbringing, education, personal experiences etc... This is why, sometimes our Pillars of Destiny i.e. our Heaven Chart based on our birth chart changes and this can be explained in an example:- If you do a search, I mentioned the Right and Left Br…

Dear Joe, I would also like to add to this topic. The reason it was considered in the Flying Star, is due to Astrological reasoning that Grand Duke or Tai Sui is the largest star in which is thus supposed to have some magnetic influence over the rest. This means that it would disturb the existing magnetic influence of the sector which the Grand Duke is in. Personally, I do not see how it can really affect someone if a person offend it because of the great distance between the stars. However, as many events in the past seems to support that offending such a star has great disasters, the Chinese normally will choose to believe rather then throw it away. However, there are n…

Dear Joe, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'discussion-session' suppressed 'discussion-session' suppressed> Date: Tuesday, May 11, 1999 8:02 PM Subject: applying f.s. to 'group homes' The yearly stars can be considered, but would have to be careful as there are 200 people of which not all are sultable for everyone. Other than that, I believe it is very difficult, because even if you want to use the eight house, it can be pretty messy to organise. But of course if you can, you could help them, by grouping those in certain direction together. Practically of course, it is very difficult. This is my opinion, if any ot…

Dear Rose, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'discussion-session' suppressed 'discussion-session' suppressed> Date: Monday, May 10, 1999 11:55 AM Subject: Re: I-Ching Hexagram 1. The hexagram is the Metal Element and the surrounding is Water. I leave you to guess what our Element is:) May I guess i. weak water ii. strong fire, or iii. strong earth I believe you can understand the reasons for my guesses. What is the difference between metal (gold) surrounded by water (blue), vs water surrounded by metal? The difference is that metal surrounded by water, actually enhance the water from within. Therefore making w…

Dear Kieon First, let me congratulate you on your new home:) From your description, a square room is considered an excellent layout. In Feng Shui, yes, it is unfavourable to have a slanted ceiling as you have mentioned, this creates unfavourable qi in that area. There are few cures and only two are available:- 1. A `poster' bed with four pillars and for the `roof' of the poster bed, one can place a cloth material. This will act as a false ceiling. 2. False ceiling to level the roof. Frankly, the above are the two `best' cures for this situation. Other than the above, for the moment, I can't recall any other more effective `cures'. 3. If there is a beam above the slanted c…

Hi, What you have done is already OK. If the apartment was occupied by someone who died of old age, there is usually really no concern. One fine day, everyone has to die of old age. Unless the death is due to other circumstances. If this is not the case, don't worry too much:) Send my regards to your relative:) Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'discussion-session' suppressed 'discussion-session' suppressed> Date: Saturday, April 17, 1999 8:13 AM Subject: New Apartment needs cleansing

Dear Sarah, Hope you can further describe `how level' is the house in relation to the surroundings? For example to the Chinese, an inverted `wok' (those found in the kitchen) is an ideal way to represent a good `site'. Your site should be where possible higher or level the surrounding land. Hope you can describe more in detail for me to fully comprehend and make `better' judgement. Perhaps, you can describe to me what you see on four sides of the site e.g. the back, the front, the right and the left. I hope this is not too much to ask but, I feel the more details the better... erh.. don't want to give wrong advice:) Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: …

Dear Toni, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'discussion-session' suppressed 'discussion-session' suppressed> Date: Sunday, April 11, 1999 9:05 PM Subject: Re: Yin & Yang Feng Shui Yes, I agree with you. Recently, there are quite alot of correspondence on this. I understand that it is rather confusing to follow. One minute, it is this and another minute another interpretation. Let me elaborate further:- 1. First forget what we have understood of the differences on this subject. The reason for using this model e.g. a dragon, tiger, tortise or phoenix is that it is easier to explain things using a picture or a `pi…

Dear Eve, Placing a partition or a low cabinet within the house (inside the house) does not alter the original door facing direction. The purpose of this is to let qi meander gently into the house and it is for this purpose only. However, if one tilts the main entrance door to a specific direction, one then has changed the direction of the facing of the door. No, the South = inauspicious is considered a `text book' assessment for everyone. Unfortunately, this is too general unless one does a personalised Feng Shui assessment specific to their own house and their personal data. Otherwise, it is in my opinion too general to be used by everyone. In fact it is less `accurate'…

Hi, Based on the four symbolic animals concept, water should not be behind the house. But see the good news below:- There is one major principle of Sha Qi (bad ch'i) that is if it cannot be seen, no longer becomes a `threat'. In your case, your property is "exceptional" because it is huge. As mentioned above, if you cannot see the `threat' under Feng Shui principles, it no longer becomes sha qi in your case, it is further helped by the barn. In your case, I personally feel that there is no need to build a fence. The only point I like to bring to your attention is the short write-up I wrote on dangers of underground water. If you have the time, the url is : http://www.geom…

Dear Karen, In traditional Feng Shui practise, even in China, crystals were not widely used until today. Mostly it is due to the present day where modern technology is able to create such crystals cheaply and easily available to the public. So far, I understand only recently are Feng Shui authors writing about their own beliefs that crystals can be used as either an enhancement or a cure. I guess this field is very new and my `guess' is as good as yours as to whether it is that good. I remembered, last year while doing a Feng Shui audit for my friend. On my first visit, he placed around 5 to 6 crystals at the North West (Metal location) of his home. He explained to me tha…

Dear Karen: Feng Shui consultations can cost around $500.00 up, this may or may not include round trip air fare depending on where your chosen consultant resides. May I suggest investing in basic feng shui books. This is not only for finding out good information like, "where is my wealth corner", but for the purpose of understanding what your feng shui consultant is talking about and the purpose of any changes being made. Under "Book" recommendations, Robert and Cecil Lee recommend "Feng Shui for Beginners" by Richard Webster. Other good beginning books are; Feng Shui for Apartment Living by Richard Webster Feng Shui Step By Step by T. Raphael Simons The Western Guide To…

Dear Tracy, A few traditional Feng Shui Masters have stated their views that there should not be any changes with respect for people living in the Southern Hemisphere. You can read this article written by Master Yu of astro-fengshui.com : http://www.astro-fengshui.com/south-h.htm I agree with his opinion that there should not be any changes made as the calendar system of finding a person's `true' element and overall strength of the element e.g. strong water, neutral water and weak water. For other viewpoints, you can read links from this page: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/addsites.com -----Original Message-----

Dear Tam, The Mole on face comes from the art of face reading which is one of the aspect if fortune telling which Feng Shui Masters generally use for fortune telling. It has been documented, just like any Feng Shui thories that a mole at a certain location can represent certain type of characteristic or fortune. But in order for it to be accurate it has to be combined with the way of bones and even palmistry to provide an accurate reading and prediction of fortune. Maybe you like to read up on the Face Reading. I am not sure if there are many books which have been converted in English about Face Reading techniques. But there are many Chinese books available on this art. Y…

Welcome to Discussion Session, This discussion session is for any one who wishes to have an online discussion, and would like to invite other users (from all parts of the world) to logon to the Geomancy Chat at a particular timing for an online discussion. In order to co-ordinate the timing, please post the date and time such as:- Example Time in Singapore:- On 1 Jan 1999 at 12:00 pm (+0800 hrs). If you are in a time zone of (-0500 hrs), all you need to do is first convert the time to +0000 hrs. Convert to 1 Jan 1999 at 04:00 am (+0000 hrs). Then subtract -0500 hrs. This means that in your local time should be 31 Dec 1999 at 11:00 pm. If you feel that you are free during…
