Dear Anon, As you have correctly mentioned Chinese astrology can be quite `similar' in its approach with say the Western Astrology. The reason why, we do not want to discuss Chinese astrology at the moment is because most of the `analysis' done e.g. predictions in books are all based only on one's Year of birth. If it is placed in a toilet environment i.e. lots of moisture, then, ideally the material in which it is made of should be able to "withstand" such an enviroment. Often, it can be hung along the staircase landing area or in the living room area or a prominent wall within the living or study room.
