Everything under the sun: Coffee-shop Talk

  1. Hi Anon Cecil's course IMHO is very well structured with lots of examples coming from his 101 Feng Shui Tips and Examples.I found the course easy to understand and most importantly, Cecil and Robert as you well know, are prepared to answer all questions. I can assure you not all Masters are this generous. I am an accountant by profession but gave it all away in 1994. My chart indicated that I would study metaphysics so I followed this path and with excellent Masters like Cecil and Robert, have been able to set up a practice here in Perth where I have a strong client base. One never stops learning about Feng Shui..there is just so very much to learn, and when done correctl…

  4. Dear Master Cecil, I apologise if it is doubled. There is trouble in opening my post. But I have to repeat all over again. 1. My main door is facing directly with my neighbour. Somehow we do not have good relation each other. Should I put convex or concave mirror? The plus point is my neighbour in slightly better financially compare with me. The minus point are some poisons arrows too from other houses and this direct neighbour also has large convex mirror just right behind the main door but outsider can see clearly, worse they open the door most of the time. 2. I have placed 2 windchimes but less effect though. If I have put the mi…

I had no idea what our house number meant until last week, so bear with me... I insisted to my boyfriend that we relocate to this cutesy art deco apartment, from California to Nevada. He said "ok". Upon analysing the apartment number 26, it means "Where the female goes the male follows". We are really happy here. I am learning so much through this web site. Thanks Cecil Julie

  6. Dear Toni, 1. That would be wonderful! 2. It is preferable that it is presented in the format he is most at ease with, whether in black and white or in color. However, color would be more appealing. 3. We can talk about the method of delivery at a later time. Additionally, we can address other specifics privately via my email: cecil@geomancy.net. Thank you in advance! w it can be sent later on. We can discuss other details privately at my email address: cecil@geomancy.net. Thanks in advance! The three storey Adelphi Hotel shifted the third time tothis location at Number 3 Coleman Street. And was there until it permanently closed in 1973. It's last business day was on 25 June 1973. It was considered as Singapore's oldest hotel. The entire building was totally demolised in 1980. And five years later, a smaller office-shopping complex replaced this old grand dame. What a pity! In my opinion: Today, this site is not exactly "clean". As some units.... have sightings of...

  10. The back of my home faces NW, and is a large body of water. However, my front door faces SW, so perhaps the back of my house is actually NE?? This is the problem w/ a side entrance LOL! Thanks for input re: whether or not this is inauspicious, and if there are remedies.

Dear Anon, 1. Yes, it is best not to be `involved' with religious objects if one can. 2. Recently many Feng Shui emporiums are in my opinion `selling' items that only burn a big hole. 3. I was infact disturbed a few days ago when I just took a glance at many of the Feng Shui emporiums. And all shorts of `rubbish stuffs'. It is a pity especially for those who are already short of cash and buy them to get into real problems. 4. Frankly, all this is also due to the consumer. For example, recently a friend of my father had asked me to help do a audit of their home. As usual, the house is littered with `three huge laughing buddha statues. And not less than three fish tanks a…

Dear Rick, 1. Overall, what we are trying to achieve is to increase our LUCK. 2. Feng Shui is about trying to increase our Earth Luck. 3. Feng Shui of the interior is just one aspect or a percentage of the total Earth Luck. 4. Thus, for example, the site and building or home may in certain cases account for say 30 to even 50 percent of the total Earth Luck. 5. In my opinion, the common fallacy of paying homage to a corner e.g. dressing up a corner is but say e.g. 1/8 of the total 8 or 9 sectors that is usually analysed. In more detailed analysis this can go further to 24 sectors etc... 6. Thus, it is like taking an exam. 6.1 If you are asked to answer 4 questions (which…

What your birthdate tells you.... Your personality has link to your Date of Birth. To find out more, pls read on. This method is not a Chinese `method', I am not sure the origin of the source... Please keep an open mind when reading this... Date of Birth: *1st Day of the Month A birthday on the first day of the month means that you have a strong will, are self-reliant and independent. people may say you "think too much," because you like to plan but not to actually build. Similarly, you're better at diagnosing what's wrong than prescribing a remedy. You have a good mind and like to reason things out. Practical and idealistic at the same time, you refer most things to your he…

  20. Dear Anon, Further to my earlier comments: 1. Activites like buying a lotto or sweepstake ticket is also interesting. Here, it also gives a person Hope or for some people, something to look forward to. 2. Contrary to popular belief, even in Taiwan, not many people or the majority of population (like the west) are equally intriqued with Feng Shui and other of such activties such as face reading, and other geomancy fields. Feng Shui Masters are far and rare. In my opinion, it can be the ratio of e.g. the ratio of doctors to the population or less. 3. In Cate Bramble's website or article, you will notice that he `duped' prominent politicians and businessmen etc... 4. This i…

In managment studies, the familiar term is: Situtational Approach. Here the familiar word `It depends' is used. Under the above management concept, it is said that not all situations are the same. Thus it depends. We can easily apply this concept to Feng Shui and when we replace the word `management', we get the " Situational Approach to Feng Shui'. And the key word is `It depends' Warmest Regards, Cecil

  22. Dear Tracy, The true test of which is your main door is the frequency in which you use the door. In this case, you mentioned that you mainly use the inter leading door from the garage into the kitchen. You should consider this as your main door. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message-----

Dear Anon, Further to what I mentioned earlier: 1. In real life, our inclination is not like extremes: hot or cold continuum. 2. Most of us are somewhere within the continuum. 3. For persons (or those who want to be FS practitioners) who are more abstract, or love more of drawings or graphics, can build on Shapes and Form and closer to this area. 4. For those who are more `mathematical', logical, should go for e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, one Western School Feng Shui, if you read the `Masters' credentials, he graduated from Bachelor in Mathematics or this close to this area, for quite sometime practises only Flying Star Feng Shui. If you were to visit the sit…

Dear TC, You can log-in to www.geomancy-online.com. There is free Flying Star House Number Report for high-rise building in the above site. It should normally be used in conjuction with the Flying Star Analysis: 1. The Flying Star House Number report looks only at vertical slice of a high-rise building where it is assumed that each level of a unit, differs. 2. The Flying Star Analysis takes into consideration only the horizontal analysis. Thus, both should be used instead of just using one method. Warmest Regards, Cecil
