Everything under the sun: Coffee-shop Talk

Dear Joe, I would also like to add to this topic. The reason it was considered in the Flying Star, is due to Astrological reasoning that Grand Duke or Tai Sui is the largest star in which is thus supposed to have some magnetic influence over the rest. This means that it would disturb the existing magnetic influence of the sector which the Grand Duke is in. Personally, I do not see how it can really affect someone if a person offend it because of the great distance between the stars. However, as many events in the past seems to support that offending such a star has great disasters, the Chinese normally will choose to believe rather then throw it away. However, there are n…

  2. Hi, It is not possible to predict time of death accurately unless you want to do a full detailed case study of a person for every year, month, day and hour? At best most Masters would do is give a general prediction of good or bad events. Do you know when would you encounter "Death"? It is encountered when very likely the 10-year period has a warning that you are unfavourable to that period. Remember a directional influence in the 10-yearly chart, if you ignore that and persist in travelling towards the direction of your unfavourable influence. That would again unfavourable influence towards you. In addition, if the annual luck is against you, or if there are any clashes…

  5. Dear Joe, Thanks for your comments. So far, other than hiring a good consultant, one do not need to spend more money than is necessary especially in a home environment. As you also mentioned, we should go down to the basics of Feng Shui and always have an inquiring or questioning "mind". It is good always to ask questions what and why do a practioner say this or that. Ask for an explanation. And make your own personal judgements. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  7. The back of my home faces NW, and is a large body of water. However, my front door faces SW, so perhaps the back of my house is actually NE?? This is the problem w/ a side entrance LOL! Thanks for input re: whether or not this is inauspicious, and if there are remedies.

  9. Dear Toni, 1. That would be wonderful! 2. It is preferable that it is presented in the format he is most at ease with, whether in black and white or in color. However, color would be more appealing. 3. We can talk about the method of delivery at a later time. Additionally, we can address other specifics privately via my email: cecil@geomancy.net. Thank you in advance! w it can be sent later on. We can discuss other details privately at my email address: cecil@geomancy.net. Thanks in advance! 11. Dear Anon, Further to my earlier comments: 1. Activites like buying a lotto or sweepstake ticket is also interesting. Here, it also gives a person Hope or for some people, something to look forward to. 2. Contrary to popular belief, even in Taiwan, not many people or the majority of population (like the west) are equally intriqued with Feng Shui and other of such activties such as face reading, and other geomancy fields. Feng Shui Masters are far and rare. In my opinion, it can be the ratio of e.g. the ratio of doctors to the population or less. 3. In Cate Bramble's website or article, you will notice that he `duped' prominent politicians and businessmen etc... 4. This i…

Dear Anon, Further to what I mentioned earlier: 1. In real life, our inclination is not like extremes: hot or cold continuum. 2. Most of us are somewhere within the continuum. 3. For persons (or those who want to be FS practitioners) who are more abstract, or love more of drawings or graphics, can build on Shapes and Form and closer to this area. 4. For those who are more `mathematical', logical, should go for e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, one Western School Feng Shui, if you read the `Masters' credentials, he graduated from Bachelor in Mathematics or this close to this area, for quite sometime practises only Flying Star Feng Shui. If you were to visit the sit…

In managment studies, the familiar term is: Situtational Approach. Here the familiar word `It depends' is used. Under the above management concept, it is said that not all situations are the same. Thus it depends. We can easily apply this concept to Feng Shui and when we replace the word `management', we get the " Situational Approach to Feng Shui'. And the key word is `It depends' Warmest Regards, Cecil

  15. Dear Kaushal, 1. I believe I have posted a lengthy reply on this subject in one of today's reponse to an earlier e-mail. In my opinion, in general, Feng Shui has an `indirect' relationship or effect on Love and romance or finding a partner. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui can help to identify and help. 3. Ultimately, human factors are equally essential. And this comes under Man or Human Luck. Warmest Regards Cecil

Dear TC, You can log-in to www.geomancy-online.com. There is free Flying Star House Number Report for high-rise building in the above site. It should normally be used in conjuction with the Flying Star Analysis: 1. The Flying Star House Number report looks only at vertical slice of a high-rise building where it is assumed that each level of a unit, differs. 2. The Flying Star Analysis takes into consideration only the horizontal analysis. Thus, both should be used instead of just using one method. Warmest Regards, Cecil

This is a short write-up on the legend of the Three-legged toad. Which I had included in the Poll of the Three-legged toad:- There are two versions to the legend of the Three-legged toad:- 1. A Chinese Immortal Lui Hai was said to live in the era of the Sung dynasty in the province of Shensi. According to legend, he was the general who successfully fought off Lord Liu (Master of the Sea Toad). To this a statute of Immortal Lui Hai with his three-legged Toad is considered the symbol for money-making. 2. A second version: Legend has it that there was once a Toad which lived in a deep well and emitted poisonous vapors. Immortal Lui Hai lured the creature with a string of gol…

I had no idea what our house number meant until last week, so bear with me... I insisted to my boyfriend that we relocate to this cutesy art deco apartment, from California to Nevada. He said "ok". Upon analysing the apartment number 26, it means "Where the female goes the male follows". We are really happy here. I am learning so much through this web site. Thanks Cecil Julie

  24. In my opinion; the think-tank or mastermind leading the entire opposition is this party:- http://www.yoursdp.org Their combined academic qualifications is like Wow ! Wow ! Many of their speeches are as good as academic thesis of the highest degree. No wonder; many of it's members are Doctors! Not the medical kind but in other fields! Many now realise that Dr Chee Soon Juan... may in the future be associated as the person who forever changed the landscape of Singapore Democracy! Thus, MM Lee Kuan Yew; is the founding father of Singapore; BUT Dr Chee would forever be known as the father of TRUE Democracy! Majulah Singapura!

Lots of stalls in this Bedok Food Centre boasts this.. boasts that... Goreng means fry in Malay. And Pisang means bananas. Thus this stall sells Fried (crispy) banana dipped in a batter and fried. This stall claims that it is the KING of Goreng Pisang. Thus if you also want to be a KING! Go and eat their goreng pisang! Be a KING yourself! Hmm... how about THEQUEEN of Goreng Pisang!
