Glad to learn that Broadway Coffee Shop at Damai is one of the first that is completely smoke free. As often in many other coffee shops; even if one sits far away from the smoking area; the fans would bring the smelly smoke towards us non-smokers area. Had a pleasant experience, here: fresh air. Approximate location of this coffee shop:-

Bukit Panjang is Malay for "a long spread of hills". It is also the name of part of a range of low hills that run from Mandai, in the north of Singapore to Bukit Timah in the south. Forty years ago, the area was occupied by farms, granite quarries and fatories that produced household goods. There was a shoe factory, a factory for canning food and a dairy farm owned by supermarket chain Cold Storage, after which Dairy Farm Road was named. Bukit Panjang Village was found at a roundabout that linked Woodlands, Bukit Timah and Choa Chu Kang roads. In the 1980s and 1990s, the Government cleared the area around Bukit Panjang Village and built Housing Board flats. The name…

Dear Anon, 1. If one noticed, the planning of cities, China has well planned cities based on good Feng Shui lines. 2. Many of the Chinese cities are based on Feng shui such as Canton, Funan, Shanghai etc... 3. Even Hong Kong is said to have good Feng Shui. Feng Shui thus can relate to a `bigger' picture and not necessary only on plots of land or apartment buildings. Feng Shui can be use to benefit the Prosperity of a region. 4. If I am not mistaken, I vaguely remember, Ethiopia looks like an enclosed state and in-land. (Pardon me if I got this wrong). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In my opinion, I believe that; the middle east talks is a complicated process especially since, the Palestians were unfortunately `chased' out of their land when Jews settled to form their country with the blessing of the West. As Israel and occupied settlements (land area) is small, and where many Jews had settled in occupied territories... I believe peace can be a complicated process. With the escalating crisis; I think, "Feng Shui" has to take a `back seat' as it may not be of help in such siuations. But of course, picking good dates.. (if we consider the concept of Chinese divinity methods) may be help... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Based on the four symbolic animals concept, water should not be behind the house. But see the good news below:- There is one major principle of Sha Qi (bad ch'i) that is if it cannot be seen, no longer becomes a `threat'. In your case, your property is "exceptional" because it is huge. As mentioned above, if you cannot see the `threat' under Feng Shui principles, it no longer becomes sha qi in your case, it is further helped by the barn. In your case, I personally feel that there is no need to build a fence. The only point I like to bring to your attention is the short write-up I wrote on dangers of underground water. If you have the time, the url is : http://www.geom…

Can I check in terms of fengshui, any impact if we change the main door from the current wood one to a glass door pls? Happy New Year! Not Feng Shui, but for condos not allowed to anyhow change. Main doors adjacent to elevators must have a fire rating of at least 30 minutes. During my most recent visit to a client at Yew Mei Green EC in 2023, I noticed that they had replaced their main door with a completely different one due to a significant crack in the existing door. Interestingly, their neighbor had also upgraded their front door. It is worth noting that both new doors do not quite complement the exterior design of the other existing doors [o…

1. At the recently renovated Hawker cum Market at Clementi Central; spotted:- 2. There is a circular hole drilled next to each of the table number. 3. I don't think it is for inserting an umbrella as the hole looks or seems too small for some umbrellas. Or is it because it ain't raining? 4. Have not seen anyone at this market making full use of this small circular "hole". 5. Neither does the cleaner "push" food remains into this circular hole? 6. What do you think this hole is for?

Hi Anon Cecil's course IMHO is very well structured with lots of examples coming from his 101 Feng Shui Tips and Examples.I found the course easy to understand and most importantly, Cecil and Robert as you well know, are prepared to answer all questions. I can assure you not all Masters are this generous. I am an accountant by profession but gave it all away in 1994. My chart indicated that I would study metaphysics so I followed this path and with excellent Masters like Cecil and Robert, have been able to set up a practice here in Perth where I have a strong client base. One never stops learning about Feng Shui..there is just so very much to learn, and when done correctl…

I applaud your idea to write a book using humor to educate the general public regarding all the charlatans practising FS & readings out there. I am a Western astrologer, constantly appalled at the horror stories of my clients tell of readers before they found me. The Forum user who wrote in re: being afraid of a medium's ghost is typical of the fear con artists put into their client's heads and then milk them for money. I hope that everyone will do some research into the "readers" they use BEFORE getting a reading. Unfortunately, a lot of clients want flash and pazzaz and just aren't happy unless some "Magic Bullet Remedy" is suggested (to buy). I tell everyone that th…

Dear Steven, 1. As Castles come in various designs, shape and profile i.e. differing in their top-down view and elevation, depending on the castle, it may be classified differently. 2. Overall, in my opinon in a very general sense, I would normally, view a castle especially if it is squarish as of the earth element. As mention, this is a general statement: 1. In my mind if the plot of land is squarish. 2. A castle because of the need for defense is always flat at the top even if there are towers e.g. at each corners. Even the towers are usually flat. (I am not referring to pointed roof toped `castles'). 3. Castles are made of huge blocks of stones and in my mind, would b…
