Dear Darlene, 1. Sorry for the late reply. 2. Presently there are no ISO standards or standard practises in Feng Shui. 3. I would rather call it Geomancy as Feng Shui alone is not really enough to cover the scope of a full " Feng Shui " audit. 4. In my opinion, it takes years and years of experience plus constant studying and updates to come to a level of not only understanding but applying `Feng Shui'. As Rome was not built in a day, Geomancy study needs lots of understanding and more importantly, applying what most likely works and discard the `bad' practises. 5. I therefore cannot blame you for being `confused' with so many practices in Geomancy. Furthermore, there …

  3. Dear Anon, I do agree with you on the goldfish. Personally, I tried rearing goldfish, and they die mostly around 6 months. I am not sure, like your friend, whether this is a common occurence or not ie. do they live not more than 6 months to a year? I wonder myself. But, for kois, they can last for several or more years. I have reared kois and the ones that I bought 3 years ago (from 6 to 7 inches) have grown, I mean really grown to 2 or more feet. I believe, kois can last more than 10 years or more (I guess so) maybe I am wrong. Must go and find a copy of Encylopedia of Koi Fishes, which I placed somewhere to confirm this. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Glyn, Please read below:- Nope it is not necessary. Whether or not is good or bad, it depends on additional compounded influence. For example, even if he is travelling in his bad direction (which everyone will do so sometime or other). It is the influences of that trip that makes the difference. For example this person is a weak wood, but his friends with him are weak water etc, they are heading for the mountain (with nature - wood, earth). His direction is travelling say West (Metal) which is unfavourable, but that along is not significant enough for any inauspicious or unhappy influence. Rather if his friends he is travelling is Strong Metal and maybe Strong …

Dear Anon, When I am free, will post more information on this. Currently, the relationship of planets and even the Big dipper has relevance to Chinese Astrology. As most of users are more concerned with what goes on, on planet earth, I believe, we can skip this area first and concentrate on more `earthly things' and when there is less to discuss, would be glad to post more on Chinese Astrology (stuffs). 7. The Builders of This Spanish Skyscraper Forgot the Elevator The Intempo skyscraper in Benidorm, Spain?standing proud in this image?was designed to be a striking symbol of hope and prosperity, to signal to the rest of the world that the city was escaping the financial crisis. Sadly, the builders forgot to include a working elevator. In fairness, the entire construction process has been plagued with problems, reports Ecnonomia. Initially funded by a bank called Caixa Galicia, the finances were recently taken over by Sareb ? Spain?s so-called "bad bank" ? when the mortgage was massively written down. In part, that was a function of the greed surrounding the project. Initia…

Dear Rosie, Apologies for the late reply. If you have determined using Flying Star and found that this is a misfortune area, usually this #5 should be looked at in conjuction with the other two Flying Star numbers of that sector. For example, mountain #5, water star #2, base star #3 - under Flying Star, and using the Five Elements concept, this sector is out of balance. You can use metal cures to neutralise the imbalance caused at this sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In my opinion, I believe that; the middle east talks is a complicated process especially since, the Palestians were unfortunately `chased' out of their land when Jews settled to form their country with the blessing of the West. As Israel and occupied settlements (land area) is small, and where many Jews had settled in occupied territories... I believe peace can be a complicated process. With the escalating crisis; I think, "Feng Shui" has to take a `back seat' as it may not be of help in such siuations. But of course, picking good dates.. (if we consider the concept of Chinese divinity methods) may be help... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Thanks for sharing the thoughts of many users who I belive share the same views as yours. To me, Feng Shui is both a passion and hobby so, I just made the passing remark while I was thinking on another `issue'. But wrote it in the spur of the moment. If I can, I will always answer questions posted to clear whatever doubts or to provide the differing views of various practitioners. When I wrote this, I was thinking more of cases where users simply write: "Where is my wealth corner?" or something similar to it. In the past, I do get many people who simply wrote the above single line and expect me to tell them where their wealth corner. Here, if you only bother to…

Dear Kris, It is best that you superimpose the Eight House Template which is available at either: 1. Manual method: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm (with detailed instructions on how to do a survey). 2. Computerised method: Free computerised Eight House at www.geomancy-online.com My advise is that you should try out the above to check your auspicious and inauspicious sectors. After doing so, see which location is closer to your best auspicious intangible force. If it is an inauspcious intangible force, and if the room is between two compass directions e.g. NE or N (as an example), it is best to sleep closer to the least bad influence i.e. NE = death or disaster line…

Dear Anon, Thanks for your comments. Whenever, I personally detect a `tone' in writing of someone wanting `Instant Feng Shui' as in "instant coffee", or fast food Feng Shui. I mentioned to contact a Feng Shui practitioner in the hope of `bringing' some reality i.e. it is difficult to do a proper Feng Shui if one is new. Thus ideally, in such situations, best to go get a Feng Shui practitioner (competent one). By giving the above example, my hope is that if one practises Feng Shui, I have mentioned thus to go slow. As the common saying goes, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Dhiren, 1. I hope I get your question correct: I believe you are asking about a " Geomancer " and " Feng Shui practitioner ". 2. In the Far East, many Feng Shui practitioners are known as a Geomancer rather than specifically called a Feng Shui practitioner or Master. Thus you will find many Geomancy companies with names like: " ABC Geomancy "; " Way Geomancy " etc... 3. Even Dr Evelyn Lip, a trained architect who researched on ' Feng Shui ' used the term " Geomancy " rather than Feng Shui. Thus in all her ' Feng Shui ' books, she give the title e.g. Basic Geomancy etc... 4. She also used the term a " Geomancer " instead of " Feng Shui practitioner " in the topics wr…

Dear Ernesto, The Chinese astrology is based on the five visible planets: Mercury Mars Venus Jupiter Saturn Each of these planets are related to an element: Mercury = water element Mars = Fire Venus = Metal Jupiter = Wood Saturn = Earth These five elements x the 12 Chinese zodiac signs represent = 60 year cycle. You are partially correct in that this 60 year cycle is reinforced by what we call the planet cycles or their full obit: Here, mercury takes 10 years to complete a full orbit; Mars = 15 years; Saturn 30 years and Jupiter = 12 years (other than venus) this approximately gives us around 60 years. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  19. Started by lmy2420,

Dear Linda, Please see below:- In my opinion, it is best not to place a mirror as it is not meant to "neutralise" this. A mirror is used for other situations and if used, it should usually be looked at with a perspective of the house either after having analysed the house by a FS practitioner or using Flying Star analysis in conjunction with Shapes and Form. For shapes and form, we look at how yin or dark this area is ... Warmest Regards, Cecil

  20. Dear Anon, 1. Feng Shui practitioners can be divided into several categories or specialties. 2. Nowadays, it is not often one can find a Feng Shui Master or Grand master `tasked' to look at large sites. 3. In older times, there are few Feng Shui Masters especially Imperial FS Masters tasked at looking into huge sites for cities etc... Some of them are even geologists etc... They are schooled at determing sites. 4. Nowadays, this form of Feng Shui is `rare' and without practise, it is in my opinion a dying art. We seldom if ever hear of new cities being built thus many FS practitioners especially the better ones are not planning for smaller projects. These smaller project…

Reference: http://gizmodo.com/5304233/entire-new-13+story-building-tips-over-in-shanghai/ Entire New 13-Story Building Tips Over in Shanghai This past Saturday, an entire apartment building in Shanghai collapsed. To be fair, the building was under construction and thus unoccupied, but it's still a minor miracle that there was only one fatality. Sounds like there was a problem with some nearby flood prevention walls at the Dianpu River, but there's no hard evidence as to why this huge building simply fell over. Anyway, here are some sweet pictures of the architectural carnage. [Cellar.orgviaTwitter] LDiscuss

  23. Dear Anon, 1. Thanks for your feedback. 2. I will continue to provide graphic examples but not actual pictures. This is because when e.g. a full audit is done, we have to respect the privacy of clients. Furthermore, usually, it is not a comfortable feeling if a picture is taken when a cure has just been placed. 3. So, I feel it is best to illustrate using graphic drawings (if possible) or when I do have the time to do so. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. If one noticed, the planning of cities, China has well planned cities based on good Feng Shui lines. 2. Many of the Chinese cities are based on Feng shui such as Canton, Funan, Shanghai etc... 3. Even Hong Kong is said to have good Feng Shui. Feng Shui thus can relate to a `bigger' picture and not necessary only on plots of land or apartment buildings. Feng Shui can be use to benefit the Prosperity of a region. 4. If I am not mistaken, I vaguely remember, Ethiopia looks like an enclosed state and in-land. (Pardon me if I got this wrong). Warmest Regards, Cecil
