Dear Kaushal, 1. I believe I have posted a lengthy reply on this subject in one of today's reponse to an earlier e-mail. In my opinion, in general, Feng Shui has an `indirect' relationship or effect on Love and romance or finding a partner. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui can help to identify and help. 3. Ultimately, human factors are equally essential. And this comes under Man or Human Luck. Warmest Regards Cecil

Hi, Sorry for the delay in reply. Besides other activities, Robert and myself were busy configuring each of our new notebook to cater for the increased mails. The purpose of calling this entire site - Center for Feng Shui Research is that: 1. We are not restricted by practising only one School of Feng Shui or owe allegiance to only one " Master ". Overall, as you can see, it is good to learn Feng Shui from many Masters. Personally, I now have at least more than 400 books on Feng Shui both Chinese: from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and many others. 2. Like the Kung Fu movies we see, you will notice that the actors usually start off getting `bullied' and as a result they lea…

Dear Anon, You brought up a very interesting question. My views are as follows:- 1. It has to depend on the quality of the Feng Shui " Master ". Many people simply give themselves title the Master title. Most people who are naive will equate all Masters to be equal. I believe it is best to go to the `root' of the situation by employing a reputable Feng Shui Master/ Practioner either through word of mouth or by their `reputation'. I believe that "You pay for what you get." 2. The best Feng Shui practioners are those who are willing to help others (of course with a fee involved). Contrast this to those who only want to earn money at their expense. Again this is difficult …

Dear Anon, This is a very interesting question. In applied Feng Shui, one need not have to deal with issues like whether the moon is yin or yang. What is more relevant here is the `fact' that the moon affects the tides and magnetic influence/pull of gravity. Other interesting studies include looking at e.g. full moon dates for Marketing activity etc.. I personally feel it does not matter whether the stars are yin or yang. This area, is dominated by Astrology i.e. this forum's `terms of reference' is more on Feng Shui, Destiny and not on Chinese Astrology. Perhaps, Chinese Astrology, may or may not have looked into this issue. Frankly, most of us are not too concerned as …

Dear Anon, Please see below:- More importantly, I usually choose a house in my opinion, that has excellent Shapes and Form and the same time matches me. I look out for poison arrows aimed at my house and make it a point to neutralise it. In some of the photo Tour pictures, I use a gift dragon aimed at a poison arrow near-by. Even houses with `excellent' Feng Shui may have poison arrows aimed at it. So, `protect', `protect' and protect vulnerable areas. The only other consideration is to take note of `sickness' sectors or any other sectors that are out of balance. For pants, I prefer wear especially black or blue. I avoid wearing pink or Red. In fact, I do not have…

Dear Anon, One good example is at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/grandpa1.htm This type of house has to eventually be pulled down i.e. demolished and rebuilt. Usually, the senario is like this: 1. The breadwinner will die shortly after it is constructed. 2. Other family members will have a hard time `keeping' it although the next breadwinner will not die but will have lots of difficulty. 3. If this second breadwinner (usually the inheritants) does not sell the house, it will be `forced' sell e.g. bankrupt or near bankrupt. Near bankrupt if he sells early and avoids this. 4. If the house is sold to another party, this party will have financial problems and will eventually have…

Dear Anon; I read the same book and asked Cecil about it in the General Advice section. You can go there and see his answer to me. On a more direct note, I have noticed that I have a greater personal affinity towards this type (Taoist) of Feng Shui because of its usage of more intuitive methods than the other schools of Feng Shui. As a practicing minister I have found it to be the "finishing school" so to speak, in my study and use of Feng Shui and that by my congregation. I would however tell anyone that the use of more than one school is of greater benefit and provides a wider field of accuracy. While reading and using Dr. Baolin Wu's book I noticed a deeper perception …

Dear Niki, 1. If you can, you could perhaps show us a small graphic file. As it is quite difficult to visualise what you are mentioning. 2. Where possible the stove has to have a support or backing. Can it be placed in a different location and for you to still enjoy the beautiful view. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear all, Recently, an intelligent client, gave a different perspective of winning a lottery. Client: "I have always won the lottery every time!" Client: "My method of winning the lottery is simple. Instead of going to the lottery booth to buy a ticket; I give it to my Minister of Finance (wife). She keeps it for me." Client: "At the end of the year, she presents me with a cheque for whatever amount I gave her for lottery minus the daily interest on it. (She keeps this as her admin fee). I used to spent at least $200 a month. And for sure, at the end of the year: Hey! I won $2,400/-! " Therefore, isn't correct that I won at lottery? Cheers! Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. I totally agree with you on what you have said. 2. Where possible, the strongest weightage should be word of mouth from close friends or relatives (if possible). 3. I have seen quite alot of cases where: 3.1. We not only have to try to `cure' but also first reverse some of the damage done by these practitioners. 3.2. This is usually where either: the `practitioner' over sell or is not sure: - Over sell : This is where the `practitioner' brings along products e.g. several windchimes, etc.. and asks the owner to place them. Thus make more money out of it. Usually, these are the famous Black Hat Sect Feng shui. - Trying to " play-safe ": This is where, the Fe…

Sorry to hear of your plight. I have had several clients in similar situations and after assessing their personal charts and doing a Flying Star audit of the house it usually is revealed that through no fault of theirs, they are enhancing the sickness area of the house. Once all this is attended to, it is possible for the family's health to improve. Also check the eight house theory.....your main door could be in the breadwinners death or disaster area. Cecil and Robert have many free modules on this web site to help you and feel free to ask as many questions as you want. Good luck Glyn.

Dear Simon, Please see below:- Generally, the free reading you get is based on the version 7 where it only takes into account the 4 main pillars (hour, day, month, year). It does not yet take into account the two additional houses (House of Life and House of Conception) as in the version 8 reports. So it DOSE NOT provide a full reading. Also, because it is free, we did not fully analyse the various combinations/joins and clashes/harms/punishmens/self punishments. And lastly, it is all defaulted to the "weak" element. So you will only a basic reading but the fact that you are say a weak element (eg. weak wood). Means that your true element is a wood for example is 100% cor…

Dear Emily, Based on what you mentioned, the use of metal is often the common most effective cure as using 6 coins tied with a red string and simply hang it in that direction. However, what you have provided is the apartment number, usually for Apartment number, the main interpretation is usually auspicious or inauspicious. How much an impact it will create on you and your family depends greatly on the flying star analysis of your main door and the rooms which you stay in. As these are the areas where you are staying in most of time in the house which affects you most. So whether or not the house number analysis will really come true or not depends on the analysis of the…

Dear Anon, Frankly.. do take note that I am a male.. so I hope not to offer bias information but, hope to be as objective (as possible):- 1. Traditionally, many of the FS practitioners are male (in a typical male dominated country). It is not uncommon in the past for man rather than female to do such work. 2. Frankly, the original Feng Shui is not focused so narrowly at just the home or the interior of the home. Where perhaps, it would `rightly; be the domain of a female. 3. In the past, when we talk about Feng Shui, it is usually analysis based on very large projects such as an entire city or area of habitat. Not just narrowly focused to today's idea of the interior of t…

Dear Annon, Sorry, for the late response. I totally agree with what you have written. For this reason, "in between messages", I am trying to post some symbols of significance to the Chinese. I agree with you that we should discuss more of symbolism, since there are already alot of resources dedicated to clearing doubts on various Feng Shui issues. Perhaps, you have correctly pointed out that this is the right time to discuss whenever we can symbolism. Earlier, I decided not to discuss `symbolism' was because, there are still so many questions relating to how to effectively use proper Feng Shui or to differentiate those that works and those that are not Feng Shui. My fear…

Dear Kaushal, 1. Can I check with you: Is it that when you enter the main entrance, you see the staircase or is the staircase facing the main door. 2. If the situation is that when you first enter the main entrance door and see the staircase (inside the house), then: 3. It is best to (if you) can use a partition to block the view. 4. If it is the `second' situation where the staircase faces the main door, then what you do is thus acceptable i.e. placing a mirror to deflect the sha qi. 5. As the impact is on the main door, it implies that Qi is `distrubed' when entering the home. In this senario, where possible, it should be rectified to ensure that life is `smooth'. Warme…

Dear Anon, I would like to point out that `light' does not necessary mean `bulb' electricity. I believe our Sun came about long before the `bulb' electricity came into place. Usually, when I mentioned about lighting, e.g. it refers to natural light and necessary the `Edison' light bulb. I hope you *Joke* can now look at lighting from a different perspective. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Like they say: " a photo tells a thousand words...." These early photos 1900'sof boats in a quay gives us what is known as "Boat Quay, Singapore" today. Did you see a photo of a bullock cart in the 2nd photo? In those days, all bullock carts are pulled by twin "engines" i.e. two buffalos each. Talk about "horse power" in the west. If motor vehicles were invented in the East or Far East today; instead of measuring car's "horse power"; Here in the Far East, we could be talking about the measure by "buffalo power" i.e. My car has "235 buffaloes" (buffalo power!) And the photos show that Singapore was no sleepy village...

Dear Anon, One should treat, huge manmade structures similar to tall superstructures or tall buildings as the same. It would be better as a comment if we are in a particular building overlooking the huge manmade structure. Here, Shapes and Form Feng shui is used. From the angle or room, what you see may not be what I see or how another practitioner see. Worse still if one `see's nothing. The best way therefore to relate to these objects is from the main entrance (if it overlooks these structure) and any windows facing it. It depends as no two house have the same view. Like you correctly mentioned, higher level Feng Shui analysis would be to see the relationship of the h…

Location: Woodlands Street 31 Not many prata stalls in Singapore sells crispy prata. The prata should not be salty or burnt. In addition, this stall’s curry sauce is “creamy” and full of fragrant flavours: Eaten once a while is ok. Not for daily consumption. Two other locations has this: 1. Jalan Kayu 2. Joo Chiat : Mr and Mrs Mohgan's Super Crispy Roti Prata. Formerly the elderly couple were located at Crane Road. Their specialty is the sambal gravy to go with their crispy prata.

Dear Anon, 1. I also have read somewhere, quite sometime ago of the Japanese decended from the Chinese. 2. Sometime back when I took some classes on Japanese language, I was amazed to find that the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 have similar sounds to the Chinese Hokkien dialect. Exact pronounciation. 3. If you were to ask a Japanese, they would most probably `kill' us for saying so as the Japanese is a `proud' race and in my opinion, some of them think themselves as higher class than Chinese or even other races. 4. For those who are interested, I have attached an extract from the Reader's Digest. Please wait for this 100k file to load:- Basically, this article tells of the " Mo…
