Dear Cecil, I have been jobless for over a year and am desperate. I'm a yang wood monkey born on a monkey day and with fire and metal as my weakest elements. I have been following your last discussion and am wondering if I should be paying more attention to my bazi chart. I hope you can give me the guidance I need. You always say that one can take advatnage of one;s wealth element if one is yang and has dominated their lucky elements. how do i knowwhen I have incorporated sufficient beneficial things to use my wealth element?. I always said i would open a restaurant when /if i was rich-that's earth, right? My professional hisrtoy is very complex: I did a Bachelors in …

Dear Glyn, Thanks for your comments. As applying Feng Shui is `holistic', it is most effective when applied in `total' rather than piecemeal e.g. first, we need to get the "basics correct" and then add on and improve our Feng Shui. Thus there is no one single powerful method of Feng Shui. Where best, we should combine each of the Feng Shui `modules' and `sub-modules' + related fields of Chinese Astrology and Divinity methods to overall improve our lifes. Currently, there are no quick fix solutions nor solutions on how to collect `bad debts'. Thou, Chinese Astrology do have some interesting information on the type of `luck' one has and even the year in which we are in. As …

Dear Janet, Currently, it is difficult for me to comment as there is not much information to go on. In general, it would be best that the cash register not to face or be reflected on a mirror. One way to overcome this is to place a poster on the mirror. A mirror facing part of the cash register is considered inauspicious. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mr Chin, In my opinion, it is best to look at career change from a strategic point of view. first. Today, in Singapore, especially if a person is around 35 and close to 40 or more, it is quite risky to change job nowadays. Since, employers may prefer to hire younger workers. It is best to discuss this option with your immediate family members. Often, it is safer under this present bad economic downturn to `ren' or be extremely patient. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Question "Hi , good morning. Just wondering if you can help to choose names for business? Look forward to your reply." Reply: 1. There is no precedence for an English name. Furthermore, have to do a search if a company has already used this name or not. 2. Generally, most tend to choose a generic name eg. ABC Food Industries or an auspicious name like Sunshine ... 3. If one still wants a Chinese company name; then; this is feasible still. And/or hang a company sign..

Dear Luna, To confirm, when you stand at the Main Entrance of the building, do you see the two columns side by side to the main door or is it `blocking' the Qi from the door. If the column does not hinder or block the main entrance at all, then you do not have to worry too much about it. This is different from e.g. a lamp post in the middle or anywhere along the main entrance `cutting' it. Is the colum rounded or square? This does not matter. If there is no poision arrow or sharp edges of the column pointing towards the main door, again this is OK. These buildings are common in countries like Singapore e.g. Parliament House when it was constructed in the colonial days. If…

My company is currently dealing with software distribution and I'm considering to have a penguin included in the company logo as it's related to the software. Is it advisable? If this was true than probably in terms of Computing the Linux which uses the penguin should have close down now because it uses the penguin as an icon. But instead it has been gaining momentum as well as popularity. Or in terms of cat food which uses cat as logo, or dog food which uses dog as an logo wil…

Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, for designing a company logo, it is advantages that look at the elements of a sole proprietor to determine his/her company logo. 2. However, given that there are four partners, this makes it so much more complicated to find a company logo BASED on four person's bazi profile. 3. This is because, most likely in a four-some like your situation, one may end up having 3 or four colours for the logo. Not practical. 4. Thus in your situation: 4.1 Either reduce to one ortwo MAJOR partners or 4.2 Design a logo based on the INDUSTRY your company is in. 5. Since your business deals with real estate, then the industry that it is in is considered as the …

Dear Irina, 1. For info, only, unless it is Chinese name (mandarin or even dialect characters); each Chinese character(s) is represented by an element i..e. water, wood, fire, earth or metal. Quote: Irina M. wrote: I have recently started a health & fitness club. The name of the business is Platinum Fitness. 2. If one is a strong earth person, then under the Five elements concept; best elements or colours for such a person are: 2.1 Colours: Metal (White or silver, gold) type of colours Your wealth colour: Wood (Green or brown or wood tone) Neutral colour: Water (Blue, black or grey) 2.2 Since wood is your wealth colour; then I would strongly suggest e.g.…

Edited by Robert: Logo analysis isn't a free advice. Furthermore, unless we can see the logo, it is hard to comment, as there are many factors that have to be considered ie the harmony of the shapes being placed, the symbolic significance, suitability to the owner and business. Hi, I am trying to work on a logo for my company, and is thinking of something that is a shape of a chinese coin (round with a square inside). I am also thinking of using blue (for the circle), yellow (for the square), white and black (for the text) for the logo. Wondering from a feng shui perspective, is this good or bad? My company deals with software development and is solely owned by me, who…

Dear Wasis, 1. You have posted an interesting question indeed. 2. In my personal perspective; public companies are often run by a majority shareholder. Often, the shareholder is an `influential' shareholder. 3. To be honest, we do get many corporate heads especially the Chairman / CEO / MD who requests to look at the designs submitted by the concept artists or Marketing head. 4. And without much funfare and with much secrecy, the birth chart of e.g. the Chairman is looked at to see if the logo harmonies with them. 4.1 It is with these influential parties that make a request - that it is transparent to the rest of the rest of the shareholders. 4.2 Ultimately, we say " they…

Dear Paula Ribeiro, paula ribeiro wrote: With so many companies going through mergers and layoffs, what are some feng shui tips that we can use to protect us in keeping our jobs and stability within the company? Sorry, but I do not believe feng shui can be of much help here simply because of the mechanics of how mergers works. I mean the people that get laid off from mergers, tends to be the company that is being bought over. Especially if you are on the company that is being bought over, the chances of being able to retain your position is less unless you possess very important skills or possess an indisposable asset to the company buying you. Feng Shui can only do so…

Dear Lionel, Part I - On Company Signages 1. Ideally, measure is also important for a signage. Thus a signage should both have Yin and Yang elements. Thus for example: If the length of the signage is 'odd numbers' than the breath of the signage should be 'even numbers". For example: Length is 89 cm while Breath is 40 cm or Length is 17 inches while breath is 12 inches etc... 2. Colors of a signage A signage should have three colors. As three stands for progress while two colors for a signage stands for "death". In Feng Shui also, some Masters will first determine the direction of the main entrance and recommend suitable color of signage to suit that sector. 3. H…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: May I know if the Bazi concept can be applied to a company? I mean can we tabulate the company's own Bazi chart based on its incorporation date? If yes, how should we treat its gender? Not likely. This is because ba zi is supposed to chart a person's given luck at the time of birth. However, a company's luck is influenced more on the business model and economics of demand and supply. So the ba zi chart which is supposed to predict the type of luck given is not likely to be suitable to be applied to business. In fact, feng shui has only a small overall role in overall business. And most of the time is the EarthLuckfactor. Such as the location…
