Dear Lionel, Part I - On Company Signages 1. Ideally, measure is also important for a signage. Thus a signage should both have Yin and Yang elements. Thus for example: If the length of the signage is 'odd numbers' than the breath of the signage should be 'even numbers". For example: Length is 89 cm while Breath is 40 cm or Length is 17 inches while breath is 12 inches etc... 2. Colors of a signage A signage should have three colors. As three stands for progress while two colors for a signage stands for "death". In Feng Shui also, some Masters will first determine the direction of the main entrance and recommend suitable color of signage to suit that sector. 3. H…

1. Applying Strategic Management Principles: 1.1. The Industry one is in. 1.2. The job function. 2. You wrote and the key word that strikes out clear is PRODUCES. 3. Thus, in the text book form of Five Elements Concept; production can be summed up as the "FLUID" process of creating products. Thus overall, it is more INCLINED towards the term "Water" element. 4. If one takes up a general course such as "Master of Business Administration". 4.1. Many of such courses would have various topics such as: 4.2. The MBA graduate should after finishing the course be able to appreciate and understand the various functions such as: 4.2.1. Finance and Accounting 4.2.2. Marketing and Sa…

Please note the following:- 1. You can look at this resource which has a link to generate your personal element and use the colour and shape association to design your own logo. http://talk.geomancy.net 2.It is not true that one should not design a logo WITH circle. BUT, under symbolism in Geomancy, there may be some truth and half-truth in a logo within a circle. 2.1. Again, this has to do with symbolism in Geomancy. As often a circle is considered like a ship's porthole which symbolises sinking feeling or some say a circle symbolises ZERO. 2.2. This has more to do with symbolism. 3. The saying "one man's meat is another man's poison". 4. For example, some say based on …

Dear Janet, Currently, it is difficult for me to comment as there is not much information to go on. In general, it would be best that the cash register not to face or be reflected on a mirror. One way to overcome this is to place a poster on the mirror. A mirror facing part of the cash register is considered inauspicious. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Harimin, Under the shapes and form, it is better to place the cashier on one side of the wall (rather then the centre). Here one reason is that there is `backing' or the cashier is supported. However, in my opinion, it also depends on the type of business. For example, in a supermarket, it is still acceptable to have it placed at the `entrance' or a large frontage. If so, do remember to surround the counter e.g. like an island and not let one side become "exposed". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wasis, 1. You have posted an interesting question indeed. 2. In my personal perspective; public companies are often run by a majority shareholder. Often, the shareholder is an `influential' shareholder. 3. To be honest, we do get many corporate heads especially the Chairman / CEO / MD who requests to look at the designs submitted by the concept artists or Marketing head. 4. And without much funfare and with much secrecy, the birth chart of e.g. the Chairman is looked at to see if the logo harmonies with them. 4.1 It is with these influential parties that make a request - that it is transparent to the rest of the rest of the shareholders. 4.2 Ultimately, we say " they…

Dear Glyn, Thanks for your comments. As applying Feng Shui is `holistic', it is most effective when applied in `total' rather than piecemeal e.g. first, we need to get the "basics correct" and then add on and improve our Feng Shui. Thus there is no one single powerful method of Feng Shui. Where best, we should combine each of the Feng Shui `modules' and `sub-modules' + related fields of Chinese Astrology and Divinity methods to overall improve our lifes. Currently, there are no quick fix solutions nor solutions on how to collect `bad debts'. Thou, Chinese Astrology do have some interesting information on the type of `luck' one has and even the year in which we are in. As …

Feng Shui like any other fields has to go thru something like this:- http://forum.geomancy.net/wiki/Feng_Shui_Triage Frankly, without finding the root cause of the problem; it is like barking up the wrong tree.

Kevin, I understand your position as I too have found my co-worker unconvinced. Most people require proof and are skeptical of anything that they can't physically see or touch. Well, here's a little proof for you. About a year ago my friend lost his job and was seeking new employment but nothing was coming his way along with that he just moved into a new home. I told his wife to make sure that when he positioned his desk in his study that his back was not to the door. And to make sure his wooden desk was near the east wall based on his birthdate and calculations. At first he was skeptical and resistant. Then one day his wife came home to find that he had moved his furnitu…

Dear Leonards, Frankly, there is no right or wrong answers. For those who study subjects like strategic planning; have to consider things like: The Industry, The Firm, The Individuals (people) in the firm. For example: in the past, Accounting and Banking in general is associated with money. And there has been a long association with money = metallic coins. Thus it is not wrong to say that Banking and Accounting is or can be associated with metal. Thus the Industry and even the Firm e.g. a Bank can be considered as belonging to the metal element. However, as you were wondering... little do you realise that you or the individual working in say an Accounting or Bankin…

Dear Anon, Many Feng Shui practioners are fond of asking restaurants to place (instead of a fish aquarium but live fish or shrimps or other sea food. Usually, these are edible.) 1. Most of the time, I believe, it is part of an `advertisement' for the restaurant that they serve seafood. 2. Under Feng Shui, usually it is used to enhance Qi. For example, if there are two pillars on both sides of the restaurant, with the advise of a FS practioner, place the aquarium along the length of the two pillars to: a. make the pillar `disappear'. b. as a partition to provide privacy for the patrons and to curve out sections. However, this method is fast disappearing as most buildings …

These are some considerations:- 1. On another matter; just imagine, how life would be like if it is only BLACK or WHITE (Ebony or Ivory). 2. Go to any home that has small child or children. Go check out their toys; there are bound to be toys with:- GREEN BLUE or BLACK RED YELLOW 3. Most kids toys havea combination of all the above colours. 4. Same goes for a job. Nowadays, many of our jobs uses multi-skills and further more, there is wrong or right answers as I had always mentioned previously. 5. So long as one can argue in a logical manner than; no one else can say it is totally wrong. And this does not require a degree in rocket science. 6. For example: go look at refe…

For home office, in my opinion, there is no major issues with using any of the common materials : wood, glass, metal and many other materials. 1. What is more important is to harmonize say the home office with the flying star chart of that room / sector andone's personal ba zi colours. 2. Majority of office furniture colours tend to be on the conservative side e.g. wood tone colours: ranging from teak wood to oak wood tones.. etc.. 3. If one intends to use bright colours e.g. especially BRIGHT YELLOW, BRIGHT RED or BRIGHT GREEN; it has to match the flying star cum personal ba zi elements. 4. The most neutral furniture colours are: 4.1 Wood tone (be it laminates or re…

Dear Boniface, Yes, 17 steps based on the formula from this website is considered auspicious. Quote: Boniface Lan L. wrote: We are opening a petshop here in Manila. our interior designer told us, 20 stepsin staircase is unfavorable, following this formula on this site: http://www.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=21416&new= is 17the best step count? However, appreciate your understanding that the objective of this forum especially is to clarify or as a form of a catalyst to the proper understanding of Chinese methodology: Ba Zi, Feng Shui etc... but free advice, does not mean working out a specificentire case. In my opinion, there is no precedence for selecting a business name unless it is in Mandarin. The rationale is that all Mandarin (Chinese) characters have specific number of strokes (based on the Five Elements) and also each character or combination of character (wording) symbolises something if possible auspicious sounding or phonetic sounding or a good word. Unless one converts and uses an auspicious Chinese company name or name "plate"; having it in any other language is a non-precedence. Furthermore, nowadays, in many countries, even if one selects a name, it has to be checked with the registrar of business to see whether has it being currently used.

These are some considerations: 1. If you can DIY a Flying Star; interpret it and use it to plan even an open office the better. 2. Based on both Shapes and Forms and Flying Star Feng Shui; it would be ideal if the main actor ; that of a boss or key personel's best location can be identified. (Include good sectors for key personnels such as Sales or Marketing / Accounting etc... 3. If you have no means of working on Para 1 and 2; then make sure that the key person's seating area is not near or next to a toilet (if applicable). 4. And another common sense is that most people don't like to seat with their backs facing an entrance or a door.
