Even if you are not sure, just get a feng shui measuring tape. Often as long as the dimension fall within the auspicious segments of the measuring tape, the furnitures are deemed to be feng shui friendly. That is one way you can distinguish auspicious furnitur…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: May I know if the Bazi concept can be applied to a company? I mean can we tabulate the company's own Bazi chart based on its incorporation date? If yes, how should we treat its gender? Not likely. This is because ba zi is supposed to chart a person's given luck at the time of birth. However, a company's luck is influenced more on the business model and economics of demand and supply. So the ba zi chart which is supposed to predict the type of luck given is not likely to be suitable to be applied to business. In fact, feng shui has only a small overall role in overall business. And most of the time is the EarthLuckfactor. Such as the location…

Dear Paula Ribeiro, paula ribeiro wrote: With so many companies going through mergers and layoffs, what are some feng shui tips that we can use to protect us in keeping our jobs and stability within the company? Sorry, but I do not believe feng shui can be of much help here simply because of the mechanics of how mergers works. I mean the people that get laid off from mergers, tends to be the company that is being bought over. Especially if you are on the company that is being bought over, the chances of being able to retain your position is less unless you possess very important skills or possess an indisposable asset to the company buying you. Feng Shui can only do so…

Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, for designing a company logo, it is advantages that look at the elements of a sole proprietor to determine his/her company logo. 2. However, given that there are four partners, this makes it so much more complicated to find a company logo BASED on four person's bazi profile. 3. This is because, most likely in a four-some like your situation, one may end up having 3 or four colours for the logo. Not practical. 4. Thus in your situation: 4.1 Either reduce to one ortwo MAJOR partners or 4.2 Design a logo based on the INDUSTRY your company is in. 5. Since your business deals with real estate, then the industry that it is in is considered as the …

Dear Anon, 1. If possible, you can follow the sample format, attached. For a signage, it is best to go for length i.e. odd number and for the width even numbers. As odd number represent yang while even number represents yin. Thus such a signage is considered, balanced i.e. yin and yang in harmony. For example if you use cm, then length can be89cm while width can be 42 cm. Alternatively if you use inches then lenght can be59 inches while width can be 28 inches etc.. Dear Adeline, adeline tan wrote: Hi, I am also strong yang metal. Am currently working in a finance related job in the civil service and doing quite well. Wld I be more successful in my career if I switch to a more "wood" related type of job? thks! In general, you need to consider the overall factors. A strong metal will generally mean Water, Wood, Fire are generally your more favourable elements. So in that respect of course a Wood element related career would be better. However, in terms of career, you also need to have the proper qualification or skills in order to suceed. So it does not meant that the element favourable you to means it will bring you the best succe…

Dear Anon, 1. It is important to understand the Five Elements Concept. References: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htmand http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-colours.htm 2. For example, if one has a small business or single proprietorship, then, guidelines of namecard (especially logo designs) can be based on Feng Shui:- 2.1 If for example, the individual isconsidered as a "weak water" person and under the Five elements concept, his/herbest elements are: Metal (metal helps water to grow); while water is also favourable for a "weak water" person. 2.2 Since metal is associated with white, silver and gold, a name card may incorporate t…

Dear Sophia, Thanks for the re-attaching the attachment. As mentioned, the compass reading taken in the building has a high tendency to be affected by the building structure. Thus, a reading outside the house will always be more accurate. Especially, so for compasses that is not magnetically shielded. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Can you see if a manager is compatible with his employee for exemple if one is strong fire and the other is weak fire are they compatible ? Generally, weak fire will benefit from the Strong Fire, as fire will make weak fire stronger. The Strong Fire, will lose some fire in the process. However, though the element pairing of weak and strong fire seems like a good pair. The problem comes with the fact, that because of the same element type ie Fire and Fire element, the two person will tend to want to compete and also may not see eye to eye with each other. Thus, there may be some potential friction between the two. So not really the best kin…

Edited by Robert: Logo analysis isn't a free advice. Furthermore, unless we can see the logo, it is hard to comment, as there are many factors that have to be considered ie the harmony of the shapes being placed, the symbolic significance, suitability to the owner and business. Hi, I am trying to work on a logo for my company, and is thinking of something that is a shape of a chinese coin (round with a square inside). I am also thinking of using blue (for the circle), yellow (for the square), white and black (for the text) for the logo. Wondering from a feng shui perspective, is this good or bad? My company deals with software development and is solely owned by me, who…

Hi Cecil Kelvin here. It's been some time, how have you been? Well just a little question about the idea of starting a business for a friend who is weak water element and who is thinking of starting a delivery/courier business. You know, deliverying letters/parcels/packages for companies and individuals as an express service during the day. I am certain that since he will be in a van most of the time doing this, the metal of the van will enhance his own weak water element. However I am concerned about the element of this business : whether it is good for him. May I know which element is this kind ofbusiness? Many thanks and best regards kelvin

Dear Vivienne, Anonymous wrote: I was told before not to use animals as a company logo as it symbolises "unstability". Is this true? My company is currently dealing with software distribution and I'm considering to have a penguin included in the company logo as it's related to the software. Is it advisable? If this was true than probably in terms of Computing the Linux which uses the penguin should have close down now because it uses the penguin as an icon. But instead it has been gaining momentum as well as popularity. Or in terms of cat food which uses cat as logo, or dog food which uses dog as an logo wil…
