Dear Lay Eng, Have to empathise with you. To be honest; this has more to do with "human or man luck" then Feng Shui or Heaven's Luck (ba zi). Really very hard to solve given that you have such neighbours. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In general, match-making involves co-ordination and "growth" thus can come under "wood" element. Dating is a process of getting to know, and trying (hopefully) to build a permanent relationship. Thus, since it involves also "building" a relationship, it can also be considered under the "wood" element. In a relationship, the act of quarrelling has to do with the "fire element". Hi Anon, If you are just an employee in a company, what you can do is probably to improve your own personal Feng Shui. This is because it is unlikely that you will be able to change your facing direction or even do a flying star. So what you can do is enhance your personal luck especially those pertaining to authority and power as it is the promotion which you are looking for. This is especially for those whose career does not represent an element suitable for the person. This means that if you do not have any power or authority in your deities, this means that you do not have any elements representing that, so you should try to strengthen it with your personal items, suc…

1. Honestly, mastering Feng Shui can pose a significant challenge for those new to the practice or inexperienced in its principles. 2. Traditional Feng Shui encompasses both external and internal elements of a home or building, requiring the use of the compass school of Feng Shui - Flying Star to analyze and interpret the space effectively. 3. Therefore, the size of your desk is of lesser importance compared to the concepts discussed in the previous paragraph. 4. In Flying Star Feng Shui, a knowledgeable individual must create an accurate Flying Star chart, which may reveal specific numbers and combinations indicating potential issues or concerns within a p…

Dear Carol, This is a good question which I hope the following can help all users as well. 1. For Breadwinner in office you can take the following:- Usually it is the most important or highest position/decision maker in the company. Or if it is a smaller business, than the person that is essential for the business to carry on. It is also the person who is often at the helm of the business that is considered the breadwinner. This means that if the business has a shareholder but the shareholder does not help out directly in the business front, than that person is not considered a breadwinner. If there are several heads, you can always do additional Eight House Report to he…

Dear Laura, For your case, because the office does not belong to you, what you can do is to enhance your personal self. For example, if you know that you are a weak wood, you should wear water element (blue/black) types of clothings and have some of those elements present on your desk to enhance yourself. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Joan, 1. In general, one have to look at the core skills in a particular job. For example, if the secretary does lots of coordinations, then often this may involve wood element. 2. If the secretary is involved highly in PR or customer relations (internal or external customers), this area has to do with fire element. 3. The industry relates to Earth as especially since paper comes from trees and from the earth. However, a sub-category is the wood element since paper is literal wood. 4. In the past, a butcher is a butcher, and a merchant is an merchant. But nowadays, a butcher may use a computer etc. So multi-skilling in often involved in all jobs. So it is very diffi…

1. Frankly, there is no precedence inba zion "such things". 2. Firstly:Ba ziis not a "cure all" or "everything cannot revolve around" in the name ofBa zi. 3. Designing a company LOGO : Yes, ba zi can be used as a basis to select colours and shapes. For designing a brochure "You ought to be kidding? Rite? 4. The discipline of designing a brochure - if you need experts go to the those "Advertiser - illustrators of sorts" not to a Geomancer, please.

Dear Caroline, Thanks for your brief information. 1. It would be best not to rely on "fixed" theories e.g. the Eight Aspirations or Associations. The reason is that it is too general to be applied to anyone or their home. Unlike the Eight House Theory, the Eight Aspirations does not even consider one's Year of birth or personalised it to a person or their home. 2. In your case, you may want to consider any of the following theories: a. Shapes and Form in relation to the exterior of your home and the interior. For the exterior, make sure that there are no sharp corners of neighouring houses pointed towards the main entrance or the windows etc.. For the interior, make sur…

Hi, 1. To clarify, I am not sure from which source that you had read that under Feng Shui, a building must have a back door. 2. Under Feng Shui for Business; normally, the Flying Star Feng Shui is used to assess the office. 3. Some others do use the concept of `preference' e.g. depending on the business which can usually be classified under an element e.g. for Sales and Marketing, some FS practioners recommend facing South (for the `fire' or vitality of the fire element). For a Bank, to face e.g. the West or North-West (as a bank represents the metal element) and West/North-West belongs to the metal element. In my opinion, para 3 is less important or secondary. In our rea…

Dear Anon, 1. If possible, you can follow the sample format, attached. For a signage, it is best to go for length i.e. odd number and for the width even numbers. As odd number represent yang while even number represents yin. Thus such a signage is considered, balanced i.e. yin and yang in harmony. For example if you use cm, then length can be89cm while width can be 42 cm. Alternatively if you use inches then lenght can be59 inches while width can be 28 inches etc.. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Can you see if a manager is compatible with his employee for exemple if one is strong fire and the other is weak fire are they compatible ? Generally, weak fire will benefit from the Strong Fire, as fire will make weak fire stronger. The Strong Fire, will lose some fire in the process. However, though the element pairing of weak and strong fire seems like a good pair. The problem comes with the fact, that because of the same element type ie Fire and Fire element, the two person will tend to want to compete and also may not see eye to eye with each other. Thus, there may be some potential friction between the two. So not really the best kin…

Dear Sherri, First of all Congratulations on your promotion! 1. For your concern of the window, usually, this is often the case for many executives especially with the windows either on the side or side and back. 2. Other than Fire safety concerns, it would be good if a low height cabinet (waist high) can be used between the windows and the workarea. (Especially, if the window is of full height. 3. Blinds would be acceptable in such a situation which is symbolic of a covering of the window. 4. As for the location of the door, apologise .. I am not too clear of what you mean. But to counter the effects, usually, an unobstrusive piece of `mirror' is used at the blind spot …

Dear John, Usually, more important concerns are based on the layout of the shop and one of the most important considerations is the frontage of the shop: 1. It is always wise to stand at the front of the shop looking outwards. Here, try to see if there are any `poison arrows'. More common poison arrows is e.g. a lone tree slicing the main entrance or facing an escalator or other pointed (poison arrows.) 2. If traditional Feng Shui is applied, usually, detailed analysis is done to look at the exact compass direction of the door and doing a analysis using the Flying Star. From the above, then the color of the frontage is determined. 3. Alternatively, one should still consid…

Dear Paula Ribeiro, paula ribeiro wrote: With so many companies going through mergers and layoffs, what are some feng shui tips that we can use to protect us in keeping our jobs and stability within the company? Sorry, but I do not believe feng shui can be of much help here simply because of the mechanics of how mergers works. I mean the people that get laid off from mergers, tends to be the company that is being bought over. Especially if you are on the company that is being bought over, the chances of being able to retain your position is less unless you possess very important skills or possess an indisposable asset to the company buying you. Feng Shui can only do so…

It is a common misconception that a prominent storefront is essential for achieving success. However, if the layout of the escalator remains unchanged, particularly with the downward escalator positioned on the left side as indicated in the image, it could negatively impact the Feng Shui of the shop and result in a decline in business.

Dear Anon, We are by no means any expert graphic designers. So we can only advise you on the types of colour scheme at best. You should seek an graphic designer to help you on the design of the logo itself. Being a weak Wood in an Earth related job. To be able to contain your Earth job, the way to do is to strengthen your Wood, so there should be some blue colour (Water) surrounding the brown / green (Wood) colour. In addition, if possible a the wood should encapsulize a Earth color object. You can also make use of the shapes such as Earth being square colour, etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Vivienne, Anonymous wrote: I was told before not to use animals as a company logo as it symbolises "unstability". Is this true? My company is currently dealing with software distribution and I'm considering to have a penguin included in the company logo as it's related to the software. Is it advisable? What objects/animals is the best to be used as a company logo? If this was true than probably in terms of Computing the Linux which uses the penguin should have close down now because it uses the penguin as an icon. But instead it has been gaining momentum as well as popularity. Or in terms of cat food which uses cat as logo, or dog food which uses dog as an logo wil…

Dear Carla, 1. Frankly, first and foremost, check your business model. Often, Feng Shui is not a cure all for many of our woes (or business problems). 2. Instead of concentrating on using material things to enhance or give us a psychological boost, it is time to sit down and re-look at your business model, first. 3. Please see below:- For a slanted ceiling, there is no much one can do here other than to see if one can move away from this location. Frankly, Feng Shui is not a cure all. Many of the items that you have referred to is felt to be that belonging to " Man or Human " Luck. For example, many of us would want to believe that our home has a `wealth corner'.…

Dear Anon, Based on your description, in my opinion, the mouth of the business would usually seem to be the main doors rather than the side door. However, how does the side door "side looks like?" For example, for a business, does this side of the building have significantly more brighter "displays?" Be it a window display or neon lights etc?? As opposed to say the main entrance side? For a business, one can often consider the "brighter" lit side as the mouth of the business since this has both high yang and displays. For example: The industry for which beauty is in is often based on "chemicals". And if chemicals are used, then it could be the "Fire element".…
