These are some considerations: 1. If you can DIY a Flying Star; interpret it and use it to plan even an open office the better. 2. Based on both Shapes and Forms and Flying Star Feng Shui; it would be ideal if the main actor ; that of a boss or key personel's best location can be identified. (Include good sectors for key personnels such as Sales or Marketing / Accounting etc... 3. If you have no means of working on Para 1 and 2; then make sure that the key person's seating area is not near or next to a toilet (if applicable). 4. And another common sense is that most people don't like to seat with their backs facing an entrance or a door.

Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: My building is made of metal (NOT concrete or wood or brick, just all metal). The top facia of my building has three panels. I'm thinking about painting the top panel red (fire), the middle panel white (metal), the last panel red (fire). The building will be painted beige (earth). My reason for these colors is that fire produces earth, which produces metal, which is burnt by fire to create wealth. Is my reasoning correct? Please advice. This sounds about right. Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, you have correctly identified a situation where much of your problem lies with the "economics" of the location i.e. a new shopping centre - more likely with low pedestrian traffic. 2. Frankly, Feng Shui has limited scope in a retail business. This is because, there are far greater risks involved vs the idea that Feng Shui can help. 3. In fact, more practical, Singapore is such a small country and currently flooded with so many identical shops and there are now so many shopping malls. Therefore, unless one has a very strong staying power, cash burn - thru rental and staff salaries are indeed a real burden. Hello ? I as told by a Feng …

Dear Lay Eng, Have to empathise with you. To be honest; this has more to do with "human or man luck" then Feng Shui or Heaven's Luck (ba zi). Really very hard to solve given that you have such neighbours. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Laura, For your case, because the office does not belong to you, what you can do is to enhance your personal self. For example, if you know that you are a weak wood, you should wear water element (blue/black) types of clothings and have some of those elements present on your desk to enhance yourself. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

1. At the clear space location, avoid having a plant or too many plants or a small plant on your table. As a plant under the Five elements concept is considered as a wood element. And too much "wood" at the frontage would draw out "water (water wealth). Quote: Doris T. wrote: Back of me is window with blinds. How should I activate mountain star if the backing is not very strong? 2. No harm in activating a mountain. But do check the Flying Star numbers at that sector. For example if the mountain star at that sector is particularly nasty #5 (strong bad earth). Quote: Doris T. wrote: Also, another doubt, if the scenario happens to be back of me is my other colleague's wor…

Dear Sherri, First of all Congratulations on your promotion! 1. For your concern of the window, usually, this is often the case for many executives especially with the windows either on the side or side and back. 2. Other than Fire safety concerns, it would be good if a low height cabinet (waist high) can be used between the windows and the workarea. (Especially, if the window is of full height. 3. Blinds would be acceptable in such a situation which is symbolic of a covering of the window. 4. As for the location of the door, apologise .. I am not too clear of what you mean. But to counter the effects, usually, an unobstrusive piece of `mirror' is used at the blind spot …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master, My friends and I have started a design studio dealing with Interior, graphics and web design. I have checked and found out the elements of us to be: Vince: Strong Yang Fire. Focus: Weak Yin Fire. Max: Weak Yang Wood. Baozhu: Strong Yang Wood. Its seems that we are opposing one another. Pse advise on any actions I can take to make our office a better working environment? Thanks for your enlightenment. Actually, it is not exactly opposing each other. Vince and Focus if paired as a pair will help to balance the other's fire. While Max and Baozhu if paired will help to balance each other's wood. Together wood helps to fuel fire…

Dear Robert Lee Thanks and I really appreciated your reply. I would like to confirm the opening ceremony forour shopon 22nd January 2006 and refer to your forum ritual "Initial Opening of Door for the first time" does that reflect to the shop as well. As procedure no 1 and no 2does it, we have to call out "PING AN FA CHAI" then throw in PINEAPPLE (x1 pcs) and prepare RICE and GREEN BEANS. We did not proceed the procedure as I was away from the holiday and we had collected the key.Must I do it orsprinkle the rice and green beanson or before the opening ceremony of our shop.Is there any alternative that we can, if we bring in the goods into the shop and do the above preced…

Dear Anon, 1. If possible, you can follow the sample format, attached. For a signage, it is best to go for length i.e. odd number and for the width even numbers. As odd number represent yang while even number represents yin. Thus such a signage is considered, balanced i.e. yin and yang in harmony. For example if you use cm, then length can be89cm while width can be 42 cm. Alternatively if you use inches then lenght can be59 inches while width can be 28 inches etc.. Dear Little, Frankly, in authentic Geomancy; so long as one is selecting a Mandarin name for a business, fine! It can be looked at to check whether the name is both auspicious sounding (phonetic sound like) and also whether it meets Chinese Numerology and the Five Elements concept. Thus, it is quite similar in nature to a parent or grand parent going to a geomancer to help to select a new name for a Chinese baby child. But, if the business name is purely in English or even French etc.. there is no Chinese precidence in selecting a good name. Thus an English name like your propsed business name K Miss 3 does not follow any Chinese good or bad name. As Chinese Numerology…

Dear Carrie, 1. As you have mentioned that you are a `Strong Earth' person; a. Check whether during the current Luck Pillars, what is the season of influence. If there is no effect or a season of influence does not affect you during this period: b. For a strong Earth person, you can use some Wood element (but not too much) because under the Five Element Concept, Wood destroys earth (in this case helps to destroy some of your strong earth element). Wood element: green or brown c. It is still acceptable for you to be surrounded with water, as you are a strong Earth person. The best method to analyse occupation is as I mentioned to use the Report on occupational analysis as…

Dear Carla, 1. Frankly, first and foremost, check your business model. Often, Feng Shui is not a cure all for many of our woes (or business problems). 2. Instead of concentrating on using material things to enhance or give us a psychological boost, it is time to sit down and re-look at your business model, first. 3. Please see below:- For a slanted ceiling, there is no much one can do here other than to see if one can move away from this location. Frankly, Feng Shui is not a cure all. Many of the items that you have referred to is felt to be that belonging to " Man or Human " Luck. For example, many of us would want to believe that our home has a `wealth corner'.…

Dear John, Usually, more important concerns are based on the layout of the shop and one of the most important considerations is the frontage of the shop: 1. It is always wise to stand at the front of the shop looking outwards. Here, try to see if there are any `poison arrows'. More common poison arrows is e.g. a lone tree slicing the main entrance or facing an escalator or other pointed (poison arrows.) 2. If traditional Feng Shui is applied, usually, detailed analysis is done to look at the exact compass direction of the door and doing a analysis using the Flying Star. From the above, then the color of the frontage is determined. 3. Alternatively, one should still consid…

Dear Robert: Thank you so much for your previous response that fire-earth-metal combination will be good for the building of my business. The building itself will be painted beige (earth). However, I'm still in a quandary about how to paint the facia of the building. The facia is at the top of the building and it covers the front and both the sides of the building. It has three panels which I list as 1, 2, 3. The facia has to be painted white or red or both. I desperately need your comments, please, in the following solutions: Solution-1: Paint panel 1 white, panels 2 and 3 red. Will this metal-fire-earth combination work? Solution-2: Paint panels 1 and 2 red, pan…
