Feng Shu for Business

  1. Started by wasis,

Dear Wasis, 1. In the past, prosperity was tied to physical accessibility. 2. In China, this is like following the `veins' which are the equivalent of the rivers that flow from the interior to the sea. 3. Usually, this water course is thus considered something like the `dragon veins' where activity most likely thrive. And thus people residing along or close to the river area (transportation in the form of cheaper - boat transport). 4. In America, trains are like the dragon vein, where, whenever, the train passes-by, counties thrive. 5. There are few clients who ask silly question. But, there was this rather, "china-born" client who asked me this question: Which part of th…

Dear Anon, 1. Much of what you had mentioned relates more towards "Human or man " luck factors. 2. Normally, as a human being, when young we were exposed or taught to live in a shared `community'. Perhaps for those who are priviledged, or have few siblings may tend to an "independent" loner. 3. In fact, all of us are born to different families. And each of us have different traits. 4. For example, even the type of games one play can roughly categorise the person. 4.1 For example a typical "loner" characteristics:- Perhaps, this person would prefer to play games such as badminton / squash or tennis. Or perhaps, this person would prefer swimming. Than other group activity g…

  3. Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, you have correctly identified a situation where much of your problem lies with the "economics" of the location i.e. a new shopping centre - more likely with low pedestrian traffic. 2. Frankly, Feng Shui has limited scope in a retail business. This is because, there are far greater risks involved vs the idea that Feng Shui can help. 3. In fact, more practical, Singapore is such a small country and currently flooded with so many identical shops and there are now so many shopping malls. Therefore, unless one has a very strong staying power, cash burn - thru rental and staff salaries are indeed a real burden. Hello ? I as told by a Feng …

  4. Dear Roxanne, 1. Thanks for sharing with us information about yourself. 2. Since, the store has always been there and if you have already choosen a house, my advise is that, you can at your own pace, `incorporate' Feng Shui into `your life'. 3. I am not familiar with any Feng Shui practitioners within Chicago. Perhaps you have to check around and the best is to hear from friends or word of mouth. 4. Since you have been always kind with your grandmother, I am sure, you will always be blessed and carry on with her work. 5. In several of the postings, you can always move in and later `catch' up on Feng Shui as it will go not `go away'. Frankly, many people, have not even he…

  5. Dear Kathleen, I have mentioned several formulas in my Applied Feng Shui book on manual calculations. A faster more accurate method is simply to go to: 1. http://www.geomancy-online.com and create a free Eight House Report. 2. Or simply goto: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm and under one of the steps select the date of birth to generate the Eight house chart. Please see below:- Under `good' Feng Shui practises: 1. Priority should go to placing the desk to benefit from good Shapes and Form Feng Shui. Here, the desk should be place where possible against a solid support e.g. a wall or alternativly against a partition and others such as the desk in relation to the…

Dear Harriet, It is difficult for me to give you an honest opinion on the small pond based on current information. Firstly, Shapes and Forms has to be looked into. It would be disadvantages if this location happens to be the `tiger' side of the house. In such a situation, it symbolises a tiger's open (hungry) mouth. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, if a chart is drawn and if this location needs instead i.e. mountain star etc.. then it is again inauspicious. In other instances, if any of the above does not occur, it would seem ok to have the pond there. Usually, we are influenced by where we stay. Thus, if you have business or own part of it, your influence or wealth is relate…

Dear Mr Chin, In my opinion, it is best to look at career change from a strategic point of view. first. Today, in Singapore, especially if a person is around 35 and close to 40 or more, it is quite risky to change job nowadays. Since, employers may prefer to hire younger workers. It is best to discuss this option with your immediate family members. Often, it is safer under this present bad economic downturn to `ren' or be extremely patient. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Arlette, Frankly, it has very little to do with Feng Shui. However, Pillars of Destiny, may be used to `enhance' the person such as knowing the element and strength and using personal enhancement plus looking at the current season to check on one's `luck pillars.' Here, it is looking to boost one's luck. Besides this, there are other `luck' factors such as the location, the earth luck of the home... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Leanora, 1. In my opinion, this has more to do with your business: THIS IS NOT FENG SHUI: 1. Find out who are your potential target audience. If your target audience is more female than male, then perhaps, colours like pink or red. If it is for men, then colours like blue. 2. So far, there is no correct formula in using colours under `Feng Shui' or Ba Zi. So long as your site: 2.1 Loads up pretty fast. 2.2 Has all the relevant information and the question here is : What is there to distinguish your store from others. Or even stores that normally, the online surfer can easily purchase in their regular shopping mall or centre. Under Ba Zi:- For Geomancy.net, since Rob…

Dear Hendra, Yes, from the Ba Zi report under Ten Deities. Often, factors such as: 1. Determination 2. Competition 3. Earned wealth Looking at these and the other deities, can help to determine whether one can be a worker, or work for self. Other indications also concern the 10 year luck periods. If one's 10 year luck period also has indications of loss of wealth for specific years, then, for such a person, it is not favourable to venture into own business etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Robert Lee Thanks and I really appreciated your reply. I would like to confirm the opening ceremony forour shopon 22nd January 2006 and refer to your forum ritual "Initial Opening of Door for the first time" does that reflect to the shop as well. As procedure no 1 and no 2does it, we have to call out "PING AN FA CHAI" then throw in PINEAPPLE (x1 pcs) and prepare RICE and GREEN BEANS. We did not proceed the procedure as I was away from the holiday and we had collected the key.Must I do it orsprinkle the rice and green beanson or before the opening ceremony of our shop.Is there any alternative that we can, if we bring in the goods into the shop and do the above preced…

Edited by Robert: Logo analysis isn't a free advice. Furthermore, unless we can see the logo, it is hard to comment, as there are many factors that have to be considered ie the harmony of the shapes being placed, the symbolic significance, suitability to the owner and business. Hi, I am trying to work on a logo for my company, and is thinking of something that is a shape of a chinese coin (round with a square inside). I am also thinking of using blue (for the circle), yellow (for the square), white and black (for the text) for the logo. Wondering from a feng shui perspective, is this good or bad? My company deals with software development and is solely owned by me, who…

The Commerze is like an office cum warehouse. But at level 2; the arrangement is quite "unusual" or rarely seen. Here, it is visible accessible from the frontage with two sets of escalators: one going up and the other going downwards. To bring people up to the entire level 2 - floor. Here, when one enters the glass swing door; there is a long winding passageway - at the front towards the other side of the building with the toilets and lifts. What is unusual is the pretty narrow passageway - not that friendly to more than two persons walking side-by side or someone trying to pass each other. Perhaps, all the units frontage are in glass, perhaps to make the crammed area les…

  20. Hi Cecil Kelvin here. It's been some time, how have you been? Well just a little question about the idea of starting a business for a friend who is weak water element and who is thinking of starting a delivery/courier business. You know, deliverying letters/parcels/packages for companies and individuals as an express service during the day. I am certain that since he will be in a van most of the time doing this, the metal of the van will enhance his own weak water element. However I am concerned about the element of this business : whether it is good for him. May I know which element is this kind ofbusiness? Many thanks and best regards kelvin

Hi! I'm moving my business to a new location but I'm confused on how to read the compass. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! The new shop has a main door (with a porch) that does not get used as much as the back door by customers. The back door is used more by customers so I'm not sure which wayis the best to read the compass facing the front door or facing the back door. Here are some elements of the entrances: Thefront door: ~ Is on asmall two waystreet ~ There are4 steps to walk up to the door ~ There is porch. The back door:~There is asmall winding path to the back door ~ There are about 5 steps leading up to the shop ~ There is a small creek that runs in fr…

Cecil, My husbands shop has 3 doors that align in a row. The front door, door to a back room and the rear door to the outside. I have read that a "screen" should be put behind the middle door. Can this "screen" be open work like lattice, or should it be solid? If solid, can it have a window or opening so someone in the back room can see a customer entering the front door? Would an opening be OK if it was a one way mirror? Also the bathroom (toilet & sink) are in the SE corner. Anyway to "fix" this short of moving it? Thank you for your help Judy
