Dear Anon, Many Feng Shui practioners are fond of asking restaurants to place (instead of a fish aquarium but live fish or shrimps or other sea food. Usually, these are edible.) 1. For home office, in my opinion, there is no major issues with using any of the common materials : wood, glass, metal and many other materials. 1. What is more important is to harmonize say the home office with the flying star chart of that room / sector andone's personal ba zi colours. 2. Dear Harimin, Under the shapes and form, it is better to place the cashier on one side of the wall (rather then the centre). Here one reason is that there is `backing' or the cashier is supported. However, in my opinion, it also depends on the type of business. For example, in a supermarket, it is still acceptable to have it placed at the `entrance' or a large frontage. In my opinion, it depends! For example:- A. Cartoons, Mr Bean type of movies (comical etc..) then the movie producer might even be broadly considered as skewed towards the "water" element. As laughter etc... is more akin to fluid or water... B. Dear Tracey, I am sorry, it is difficult for us to help you based on what you tell us. What I can suggest is for you to make use of the tools available on the site to help you make the proper accessment. Such as use the Eight House to find which is a good sector for you to face when you work. Use the free pillars to at least determine what element you belong to so that you know what kind of elements, colours can you use to enhance yourself.
