  1. The Fullerton Hotel, formerly the General Post Office and the office of Dr Goh Keng Swee, our former Finance Minister, features an inspirational bronze statue of the late Mr Ng Teng Fong at its lobby - Far East Organization and Sino Group. NG TENG FONG 黄延方 1928 - 2010 I will dwell in the house of the lord forever, Psalm 23:6 A firm believer in the virtues of frugality, hard work and progressiveness, Ng Teng Fon considered himself simply an "ordinary working man". He had a dream and an ambition to satisfy a desire for new homes among Singaporeans. In 1960, he completed his first major project at Jalan Pacheli, establishing Far East Organization as a …

Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-tortise.htm The Legend of the Giant Tortoise According to ancient Chinese legends, a giant tortoise surfaced from the River Lo in central Chinaaround 4,000 years ago. The ancient Chinese found a pattern on a tortoise shell (refer to the extreme left picture above). There were circular dots of numbers on the giant tortoise that were arranged in a three-by-three nine grid pattern on it's shell. The pattern of numbers on the giant tortoise in any given direction i.e. horizontal, vertical or diagonal all add up to a total of 15 (refer to the middle picture above). This is equal to the 15 days in each of the 24 cyc…

  3. Here is a sample typical Chinese gift hamper that is `exchanged' prior to Chinese New Year. Usually, the top or apex has a bottle of VSOP Cognac e.g. Henessey, Remy Martin etc... The quality of the contents depends on the cost of the hamper. Hampers cost between S$150 to as much as S$1000 (S$1 = US$1.69) Since this is the year of the dragon, you will notice a dragon circle the entire hamper:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

  5. Some buildings are difficult to be conceived as a "dragon building". I am pretty sure, anyone looking at this building and some basic knowledge of FUNG SWAY would conclude that; yes, maybe, it looks like a GREEN DRAGON! You agree or NOT?

  10. 1. Elvis Presley & Marilyn Monroe are alive? 2. Not exactly! BUT somehow, they are at least remembered in Singapore! Maybe for the wrong reasons? Why? 3. This rememberance in Singapore is not exactly complimentary! 4. Really, creative people, do think differently from "normal" of the mill people like us! 5. In Australia, I get to see Toilets with captions of "RAM = male" and "DOE = female" goat. 6. This newly refurbished building: Pico Creative Centre; along Kallang Avenue seems to think that the best way for people to recognised the male side of the toilet is via the huge posted of Elvis. And for the female? The famous sex symbol: Marilyn Monroe! 7. Look…

  12. First of all, let me apologise for this ugly drawing. I know it is no good. But I hope it makes it easier to understand for Dan. Enclosed please find a simple diagram showing what I mean by `Head facing a good direction'. Please note that this picture refers only to sleeping positions. Where when one sleeps (on a bed), one's head faces a good direction. One cannot expect to sleep upright and sleep with the head facing the `sky'. *JOKE* Below, Message cross posted from `Free Advice':- Dear Cecil, when you say your head should be facing your most auspisious direction, what do you mean? Your head should be in that direction, or you should be looking at that direction…

    1. Many business, prior to their opening day, would get a contractor to mount a new signage overhead of their shop. 2. After that, ask their contractor to cover it in a red piece of paper. The signage is only revealed after an auspicious date has been found. 3. It is interesting to note also that, what happens if a company needs to change a signage? 3.1 Some clients would require their contractor to remove the existing sign (BUT NOT BRING IT DOWN YET!). Next another ladder is used to place it on the top ladder step. 3.2 The new signage is being replaced and placed in it's place. 3.3 Once this is done, then the existing signage can be taken down. Please see attachment...…

But rather; to understand the Five Elements and what makes a good water feature. Where if possible, the water feature comprises all FIVE elements. Reference: http://fountain.geomancy.net
