This is a good design as there is minimal support pillars for each of the car porch in this twin semi-detached homes. The roofs are slightly slanted to allow for active water-flow during a downpour. Thus driving into and opening car doors is a piece of cake. Overall a good designWITHOUT the need for those wires that dangle and support the roof anchored to the wall.

1. Additional points:- 2. At this time, if one use a Feng Shui ruler to measure any of the HDB flats, one will notice that they are all Feng Shui friendly ie. width and height. 3. The 5 room `point' block flats shown earlier are usually 25 storeys high. 4. In addition, many of these 5 room flats and 1 / 3 room flats are typical of earth element. 5. They are typically mass produced and the entire block consisting of 100 units x 25 floors are squarish = earth shape. Perhaps, signalling stability for both the people staying in them and for the country. 6. Under this attachment, you can generally view flats usually 14 storey high. In this single block, one can fin…

I believe this is the government's first ever (Housing Development Board - a government statutory board's) foray into "condo development". This "condo" type of development has a total of three tower blocks and many do really have city views. Tower type of blocks or "point-blocks" are again a very forgiving structures. As each tower block allows air or qi to circulate in and around the entire blocks thus often; it does not sufferas much from "still" or less vibrant qi. If you take a close look at the photo image: city view5.jpg; when one steps into this development; one can see a very pleasant retro classy black and white checker-board style flooring. When we step closer t…

Government's Asset Enhancement Scheme 1. Photos taken@ Teck Whye Lane showing a block of flat in the process of installing several lift shafts to ensure that each unit can be reached by a lift. 2. Formerly, such a block has a central lift and the lifts often only stops at staggered floors e.g. 1, 3, 6, 9, 11 floors. 3. One good thing about the lifts to every unit is to allow the elderly and allow for wheel-chair friendly access. 4. Previously this government asset enhancement scheme was a "carrot" used during every elections (in the past): "if you don't vote for me; you don't get such an upgrading". Many believe;in the 2016 elections; thisis no longer a carrot nor a stick…

Growing bamboo trees on a balcony Certain trees are not appropriate at one's apartment balcony. For example; bamboo trees need as much height as possible. In this photo, the trees have even exceeded the height of the owners balcony ceiling. It is dangerous to trim the trees now. Even if the upper floor neighbour gave them permission to do so. Cannot also image the amount of falling leaves to neighbors below...
