    Former Geylang Fire Station closes it’s doors in the early 2000’s. Where once these doors opened to allow fire trucks to speed to their scene; the frontage is sunken and now occupied by a five foot walk-way with railings... 1960’s map of Singapore Shopping the location of the former Geylang Fire Station. Roads like Lorong Engku Aman was flatten. And now sits the Paya Lebar Quarter. While the MRT station and Paya Lebar Square is upstream.     Capital Tower at Robinson Road was originally planned and built by POSBank in the early 2000’s to be it’s new HQ. The bank was suppose to move into this new “Rocketship design” around 2003 from it’s existing HQ at Bras Basah Road. But when DBS took over the bank.. this was history. Today, CapitaLand and anchor tenants GIC, JP Morgan occupies the floors.
