Hotel Royal an old establishment at Newton ... the external facade remained the same as in the 1970’s. While other hotels with the same type of facade such as Mandarin hotel and Hilton had already upgraded theirs many years ago.. Thus no wonder it only has 4 star rating This facade with its iconic murals remains unchanged since it opened And the nearby Hakka Methodist Church

The 5th milestone of Upper Serangoon Road starts near the junction of Bukit Arang Road with Upper Serangoon Road and extends until the 6th milestone near Flower Road. The practice of referring to places by their nearest milestones came from the colonial approach of indicating distance in miles from the town by placing physical markers, i.e. milestones. Though Hougang was predominantly a Teochew enclave, the 5th milestone was home to other communities including the Hokkiens (along Lorong Lew Lian) and the Hainanese (along Lorong Ah Soo). From Hillside Road to Simon Road, there were also a thriving Eurasian community and a few Malay villages. Prior to the 1980s, this s…

This house is at a junction of a busy main road. 1. See what this houseowner has `done' to protect the house against Sha Qi (or poision arrows) from moving vehicles. 2. There are several close up views of how the house owner placed a row of " Earth lamp holders " on the side wall of the house. This is symbollically meant to keep the `compound' " bright ". To ehance qi. Besides this the owner also placed a potted catus plant on the wall where the traffic flow (sha qi) is pointed towards the house. ---- Readme: ----- Note: Apologies, I had uploaded the second picture: location-plan.psp under .psp (Paint Shop Pro format). Please do not download this unless you hav…

1. Often, in our quest to determine what is Sha Qi or poison arrow; many of us don't get the full picture. 2. Many often, we ourselves; are the culprit! For example, take a look at this picture. Some homes even have grills for the windows and the main entrance with the "arrow" head design.

For older plot of land, when a land is subdivided, often if the original address is No. 25. If the developer builds two several terrace homes to replace a bungalow house: it would be name as No. 25, 25A, 25B, 25C etc... What is less common is to name these homes 25-1, 25-2, 25-3, 25-4 etc... Usually the houses were named instead as 25, 25A, 25B, 25C, 25C a shorter form without the extra dash "-". But technically, I suppose: 1 or A are still the same..

1. The house is shown under the picture as `the house under threat'. 2. Characteristics of the problems associated with this house:- 3.1 If you follow the red arrows, you will find that the house sits on a slope. Here, if one is not careful, wealth can leak from this house both from the main entrance (which is on the side of the house to the neighbour's white (coloured) house. 3.2. In paranomic view picture, you can find three markings of addition all three neghbouring houses shown as marking `A', `B' and `C'. These three houses have multiple poison arrows attacking the house.

This house is literally at the end of Shelford Road. And as the road leading to the main gate is a large distance, it will not be affected or similar to homes that are just at the fringe a road. For example, a home at the "T" junction is literally so close to the fringe of the road; and if there is run amok vehicle, it would easily plough into a home.

This private development @18A Fort Road(under construction)comprising of a total of 12 storeys is tall and thin. Not because it is now clad in a green dust/protective screen that makes it a wood element; but instead, the characteristics of a wood building is that it is thin and (reasonably tall). Contrast this to the building seen to the right of the photo; The Meyer Residence; which is rectangular in shape and is considered as belonging to the earth element. Thus, this wood element building can take advantage of The Meyer Residence when it comes of age (TOP). P.S. Apologies if the building looks like it is leaning to the right. Blame it on my photo taking instead…

Some buildings are difficult to be conceived as a "dragon building". I am pretty sure, anyone looking at this building and some basic knowledge of FUNG SWAY would conclude that; yes, maybe, it looks like a GREEN DRAGON! You agree or NOT?

What about one legged tables? This depends on the centre-of-gravity of the table. For example, if one leans hard on one side of the table; can the table "topple" down?

With the extended overhang above this 2nd storey stack/unit at block 664A Punggol Drive; One can notice that even at around 3.30pm, the extended overhang roof helps to shade the fa?ade of this unit's room. However, in general, the lower the stack/unit; the greater the range of shade vs afternoon sun hours.

Dear All, In Hong Kong, Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation HQ building took a desperate attempt to place two cannons. Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners spare no efforts to use `black' feng shui on others. Even in Singapore, some buildings were built on `black' Feng Shui e.g Suntec City. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Numerous blocks associated with the same neighbourhood HDB flats; at the VOID deck (ground level), every pillar appears to have a tag, such as C4033, etc.. 2. What is the reason for the excessive tagging of the pillars across several blocks of flats? 3. These flats were built between 1984 and 2003, specifically around 1997. They are relatively new and do not appear to be in disrepair. Is it necessary to monitor each pillar as if they are in critical condition? 4. Perhaps the town council requires precise identification of each pillar and its location. For instance, a maintenance team might be alerted... 4.1 Block 391A Compassvale Street, Pillar no. C4033 has st…

And this ain't the ghost busters! Yesterday, I was taking a usual stroll, minding my own business... until I pounced upon a home with such a signage. After my near-by visit to a client, I walked passed the fence! And really, a midsized dog, ran towards the gate.. (a real gate keeper) barking and he or she jumped on the fence and wanted to make minced meat out of me! Believe me! This sign is FOR REAL!
