The Antares @ Mattar Rd (99 years leasehold from 14 August 2018. Consists of 2 blocks of 5 storeys and 1 block at 17 storeys and and another 1 block at 18 storeys high = 256 units. First impressions is an upside down Flare gun .. LOL... In my opinion, the architect has done a fantastic job in the layout of the blocks in this development. To me, seems much thought in maximising this unusual plot of land. Yet, seems orderly and pleasing to one's eye. To me, this site plan reminds me of a saucepan. LOL

The owner of this landed terrace house opted for a light-weight gate. And it provides good ventilation into the house. The only drawback is that it afford less privacy, that's all. Actually, most homes prior to the year 2000 favours well ventilated fencing similar to above. But not as cool as this modern mesh design. Many today, opted for similar design as below. The gate does allow air ventilation plus provide added privacy:-

For older plot of land, when a land is subdivided, often if the original address is No. 25. If the developer builds two several terrace homes to replace a bungalow house: it would be name as No. 25, 25A, 25B, 25C etc... What is less common is to name these homes 25-1, 25-2, 25-3, 25-4 etc... Usually the houses were named instead as 25, 25A, 25B, 25C, 25C a shorter form without the extra dash "-". But technically, I suppose: 1 or A are still the same..

One Meyer @ 1 Meyer Place by SL Capital (5) Pte Ltd (formerly The Albracca) As this development is beside the head of Meyer Road and the current Katong Park MRTstation, it is pretty dirty and noisy. Furthermore, the Meyer Place (slip road) access from Meyer Road / Fort Road junction is temporarily closed during the MRT construction. Thus the only way into this estate is via ARTHUR Road or Ford Road. Anyway, there are only 4 small condos leading to Meyer Place. Symphony Suites @ Yishun is certainly a neat "production" line block layouts. Such sites reminds me of tightly packed "road grids". Very sterile and the purpose to pack as many blocks and stacks as possible in a "small space - site". This site reminds me of the "no brainer" soon to TOP site : " Treasure Trove " in Punggol. Other than a slight cure of Blocks 50, 52 and 54; the rest of the other 12 blocks (Imagine: this development has a total of 15 "point-blocks" sandwiched together. The oldest public housing development is located along Tiong Bahru area. The old airport road area type of public housing is considered second to the abovedevelopment. Fortunately, these quaint 1960's type of public housing has not being demolised along Dakota Crescent. These are "retained" for now...
