In my opinion the unit I had visited was to me pretty noisy…perhaps I am not really used to the noise. Also, it could be that the “U” design with the pool between blocks 66 and 68 may have contributed to magnifying the traffic noise…along the highway. Thank God that I was there for no more than one and a half hours.

The MacDonald House is the last remaining office building withred bricks facade. The building was built 3 years after World War 2. It was and designed by Reginal Eyre of the architectural firm Palmer and Turner. It was one of the 1st high-rise buildings in Orchard Road. During that time, the MacDonald House housed mainly British, American and Australian companies. I remember clearly that the show rooms of British made cars such as the mini-clubman was along this area. This is a modern gate design: A compromise: Combining the best of two worlds: partial privacy (both sides of the gate) but allows air-flow from the two panels closest to the middle of the gate.

The Marina Bay Sands Resort & Casino is the only two casino initiatives to make Singapore a more attractive and vibrant city. This development consists of three cascading hotel towers. The unique feature of this development is that the top of the three towers are joined together to contain a sky park. It also has crystal floating pavillions and a lotus-inspired ArtScience Museum and retail stores. Many celebrity chef restaurants, entertainment theatres, night clubs and Vegas-style casino. There are also venues for meetings and conferences. Pictures taken on Wednesday, 29 July 2009.

Mayfair Gardens at 2 Rifle Range Road - KIV for review when more details are obtained. Intermission... No, it is not even a Golf club. But much cooler than one-:) My fond memories of the apex of Rifle Range Road grounds and it's rich history of the origins of Singapore Gun Club and the Singapore Rifle Range Association. When I was young, my dad who is a member of Singapore Gun Club used to bring us to the Gun Club Range. Singapore Gun Club used to on top of the hill. The Club has a store modelled similar to what one finds in the US gun store. For example if you have seen shows like Rambo II. A member can simply go in and purchase all sorts of…
