Perhaps, this water feature tries to identify it's smooth fluid lines with water. But from the photo; it does not seem that nice looking. What some geomancers are concerned is the way it looks or rather portrays. If it seems to portray some unknown "spirits" or ghostly forms etc... then one should be safe and avoid such a water feature totally. Note: for this type of water feature... do watch where the spout finally lands "to"

Dear All, The better fountains are those with symbolic circular bowls or rings. As circle represents metal element. And under the productive cycle of the five elements: Metal supports Water element. However, it is best for a fountain to have all five elements:- 1. Circle (representing Metal element) 2. Water (actual water itself) 3. Wood (place a plant near to or inside the water) 4. Earth (the actual fountain is made of stone / ceramic: which represents the earth element). 5. Fire (use an under water light or if indoor, can also use a spot-light that focus inwards. The light should be turned on using an automatic timer. 6. For example: in my case, I turn it on from say …

WaterBank at Dakota These ground floor units have high bushes and plants to shield it for the constant vehicle movements “towards it” when these vehicles exit the development Imagine the frontage of your unit looks like this:- Poor bright Hall effect : due to always dim and dark = poor Feng Shui Luck This car needs to turn past the ground floor PES: Here the vehicle needs to take a 90 degrees turn to the right in order to avoid ploughing into the ground floor units:- While other Units facing the canal and pool have better luck:-

Some interesting photos of certain blocks e.g. 766 @ Waterfront Waves. Just TOP. Perhaps, this condo was named after the top-level "wavy" looking balconies? If given the choice, I would prefer to live in a unit where the upper unit's balcony curve outwards! If the balcony curve inwards, I know, when it is a wet, wet, high winds and rainy day; the rainfall would literally pour into "my unit"...

By how, after having seen the earlier wedding photos under this forum, I believe it is not difficult for you to recognise the double happiness symbol. This photograph is the wedding photograph of my grandfather and grandmother. My grandmother is now over 90 years old and staying with my auntie (my father's only sister in Brisbane, Australia). In Chinese weddings, you will also notice that flowers are abundant like any other weddings around the world. A second wedding photo (undated) is another (unidentifid wedding couple. One interesting thing to note is the carpet they are standing on. At the centre of the picture: It looks like two peacocks facing each other. Warmest Re…

Does this only apply to Singapore? Urinating in lifts can bring grief - to the offender! In Singapore, this is a fine of up to $1,000.00 Many Singapore public housing lifts even has this warning etched on the lift wall " URINE DETECTION " or " Camera-Ready" (As the word camera-ready just means it! No camera installed, yet!" Oh! I forgot! SINGAPORE IS ALSO FAMOUSLY KNOWN AS A "FINE CITY". And for tourists coming to Singapore, it is certainly worth buying a "tourist" T-Shirt with such a "name!" Do get such a t-shirt; in Silly Singapore!

What happens if there is a lone tree tangent/between the main entrance door? Take a closer look at the attachment to understand another theory called The `Triangle' Effect 1. If it is a single tree in the middle (outside) the main entrance door. This causes an imbalance in Qi as the trunk of the tree slices (like a sword) into the main entrance door. Here, place two plants e.g. two potted plants on each side of the main entrance to neutarlise the tree. It also creates what is known as a `Triangle' effect. If you notice carefully, in the attached diagram, the triangle on the last diagram points away from the house. 2. If it is a lone lamp post, you can use two poles at e…

The existing bamboo pole holders embedded into the external walls of many old HDB flats are danger as they collect water = mosquito breeding. However, these metallic protrusions can be considered as functional yet very ugly / unsightly.

1. Imagine, wall falling down a water fall at Victoria Falls or Nigara Falls. This is truly spectacular vibrant qi. As water continously friction with the air to create negative ions. Smell the air... 2. Nothing compares to the above. But what the heck! This is not exactly the vibrant qi that we really want... it is a poor cousin to the above... Please see attachments...

The town name “Bedok” has been around for over 400 years. The name likely came from the Malay word "Bedoh", which refers to a wooden drum used by the mosque to signal prayer times for the Muslim community. Source and Credit:

[Cross posted from the conference: Chinese Culture (General}] Although not all spiders are harmless, the Chinese consider it as one of the Five poisonous `animals'. The five poisonous animals are: The spider, snake, scorpion, centipide and toad. These animals symbolise plagues and drought. In the past, a charm (please click on the picture attachment below). Please note for viewing purposes the background of the charm is on yellow background. In fact, the background should instead be red. This charm is displayed during the Dragon Boat festival which is on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Lunar calendar. On the other hand, in western countries a bat is considered sin…
