[Note: There are two images in this message - Image 1 = 56K and Location map, image 2 = 128K] Is this building auspicious or inauspicious for it's tenants? Clue: Look at the roof of the building. This assessment is strictly based on the appearance (exterior) of the building and water position only. Image 1 below, size = 56K, Please wait for it to load:- It is interesting to see the poll results. I will provide my comments at a much later date. In the meantime, put on your thinking cap and make a quick guess or see the result of how others had voted. Please make your guess! Note: There are 2 pictures in this message. Picture 1 below, size = 55k, shows the shape of the plot of land. Below, The plot of land is generally auspicious as it is rectangle in shape. The site and environment is acceptable. Picture 2 below, size = 100k, shows the layout plan of a typical unit in the condominium apartment. Below, it is generally "fair" layout. However, the master bedroom door should not face another bedroom door. It is best also to avoid having a bedroom door facing a toilet.

The base of these tubes produce bubbles and lighted up usually with blue light. As most of the water is enclosed, only a small surface i.e. the top of the tubes are in contact with air. One has to suspect whether, beneficial Qi flows better or less under this tube. Contrast this to more traditional concepts like a water wall or a fountain. Some homes are begining to use the smaller versions of it. Perhaps, could the lighting in the water tube or the bubbles create benefical Qi eve…

  4. As promised, I will explain why the top most units of the Sterling condominum are excellent apartments even if they are triangle in shape and seems to have protrusions or `missing' corners. The single picture (below) shows the two top most units in the Sterling Condominum project. The two top units:- 1. Are at the apex of the housing project. 2. They are situated at the top most elevation. The condominium is on a gentle hill slope. 3. If you look closely, each master bedroom is at the apex of the housing development. Symbolically, this implies the `top person', or CEO or the person who is "always at the top." 4. The two units are `joined' together like the palms of two h…

Some Feng Shui practitioners especially if they are buddhist advise the placement of the "Eight Lucky Symbols" of Buddha after their Feng Shui audits. For example, here, the "Eight Lucky" symbols are either buried under the main entrance or openly displayed in the home or the office as a display medallion on display shelf. What…

  6. Dear Users, Ever since I moved into this house, both pots of plants have been flowering non stop at the home's balcony at the South side of the house. Picture 1: Showing the pot of plant with flowers on the left side of the balcony. (Facing out of the house) Size of picture 32K, please wait loading... By the way, the balcony of the house faces the swimming pool. Here, I usually relax at the pool and admire it's `Ming Tang effect'. *JOKE* `Practise what I "preach" ' i.e. water at the frontage of the house:) Oops, the picture of the person at the pool side is certainly not me! -- I am the one taking the picture from above. Picture 2: Showing the pot of plant with flowers o…

Size of image 20K loading... Picture 2: Shows how it is hanged on the curtain. It is hooked to the curtain using a curtain hook. Size of image 25K loading... 8. This condominum in Singapore had `record' sales as it developed its flats / apartments designed around a Figure 8. The scanned article which you are about to load is 90K bytes. Note: The Figure 8 is based on people's perception that the number 8 is an auspicious number. Other considerations has to be taken account i.e. Feng Shui considerations in analysing specific units in the above housing development.

  9. What happens if there is a lone tree tangent/between the main entrance door? Take a closer look at the attachment to understand another theory called The `Triangle' Effect 1. If it is a single tree in the middle (outside) the main entrance door. This causes an imbalance in Qi as the trunk of the tree slices (like a sword) into the main entrance door. Here, place two plants e.g. two potted plants on each side of the main entrance to neutarlise the tree. It also creates what is known as a `Triangle' effect. If you notice carefully, in the attached diagram, the triangle on the last diagram points away from the house. 2. If it is a lone lamp post, you can use two poles at e…

  11. Koi's are actually carps. Many instead of keeping real fishes purchase paintings of Koi's swimming. Most of the paintings usually have 9 Koi's swimming. (A few paintings have 8 fishes). In Mandarin 9 sounds like `longevity' and in Cantonese 8 sounds like `prosper'. The last illustration, is interesting because, it can also be applied to a swimming pool. Besides an uneven flow of water, it is equally inauspicious to have a swimming pool in the shape as mentioned in the illustration.

  12. Hi Everyone, Besides Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank, the two lion statues each tied with red cloth is found on a Bank of India Branch in Singapore's country's Central Business District. It is not necessary to place the lion statues at a specific facing direction e.g. the West direction. But rather, it is commonly found on both sides of the main entrance to `guard' the premises. In the picture the two lion statues are tilted at an angle against the flow of traffic (of the one way street). One interesting comment is that `Feng Shui' is well spread all over the world and since China is very close to India, influences such as Buddhism came from India. We can today say that …

  13. 1. A few days ago, I visited a new housing development and was found many of the housing units with the toilet at the centre of the house. 2. Although the shape of the house is considered `good' i.e. rectangle/squarish in shape, but a toilet at the centre of the house implies that finances are drained. 3. Generally if one is buying a new house, try to avoid a layout plan with the toilet in the centre. As this is considered a major "leak" (wealth and health). 4. Fortunately, often it takes three or more major leaks to cause problems especially to the breadwinner and the household. 5. In additional, hopefully the Flying Star Feng Shui of the unit is equa…

  14. Designer's Layout plan showing inauspicious layout of beds (Master bedroom, bedroom 1 and bedroom 2) against the window. Revised plan with each of the beds against a solid wall. P.S. The TV sets were not shown in the bedrooms under the (second) Revised layout plan. Personally, it is still acceptable to have the TV sets in the room. This is part of `modern' living. Note: 1. This so far does not take into consideration the compass school of Feng Shui. 2. Look out for the placement of the bed on the opposite/next to wall of the toilet bowl. This is considered very inauspcious. For example, take a look at the master bedroom. You will see that the toilet bowl shares th…

  15. Snap-shots of more pictures of the above temple. Lion statue: There are two Lion statues `guarding' the main entrance to the temple. Lion statues are very common found on traditional Chinese buildings to guard the front door. Lots of buildings in Singapore have the two Lion statues similar to the one shown in the picture. The Hong Kong Shanghai Bank or HSBC commonly has two bronze Lions outside the main entrance of their branches. The burning receptacles are used for burning of paper `money', paper offerings etc... `Hell' notes refers to paper money burned/offered to the dead in the hope that they can make use of the money in the after life.

  16. Pictures of the two Gods guarding the Door. The picture of the two door gods are also used on some Ba Gua `mirrors' i.e. the First Heaven Sequence Ba gua Symbol is on the top while the two door gods are below the Ba Gua `mirror'. This mirror is usually hung to `ward off evil'. For example, it is commonly placed at the North East (Devil's main gate) main door or South West (Devil's back door)main door . For more information about the First Heaven Sequence Ba Gua, please refer to http://www.geomancy.net/fs/pakua.htm

  17. I have accidentally uploaded a .psp file which can only be opened by certain graphics program. Here is the same layout plan under .gif format. This picture is with reference to: " House at Junction of a main road - with Sha Qi ". Thanks. Cecil

  18. This house is at a junction of a busy main road. 1. See what this houseowner has `done' to protect the house against Sha Qi (or poision arrows) from moving vehicles. 2. There are several close up views of how the house owner placed a row of " Earth lamp holders " on the side wall of the house. This is symbollically meant to keep the `compound' " bright ". To ehance qi. Besides this the owner also placed a potted catus plant on the wall where the traffic flow (sha qi) is pointed towards the house. ---- Readme: ----- Note: Apologies, I had uploaded the second picture: location-plan.psp under .psp (Paint Shop Pro format). Please do not download this unless you hav…

  20. As you have seen earlier in an earlier posting " Popular Chinese Decorative Figurines: Fu Lu Shou Fu - Prosperity Lu - Luck Shou - Longevity There a complex in Singapore, named after the above. It has a `mural' of the three Gods. You can also guess that Fu Lu Shou is one of the most popular Three figurines found in a Chinese home. It comes in different materials: From porcelain material, wood, gold plated, marble, jade and more. Placed in the home for good luck. By the way, the stretch of road along Queens Street, Albert Complex and around Bugis has lots of religious Shops that sell Feng Shui stuffs. If you are around this location, you can also visit the Kuan Im Temple…

Hi Everyone, The enclosed logo is made up of the following:- a. Background : Purple representing the Fire element. b. Logo : An ancient Chinese coin representing Metal element. Under the destructive cycle: Fire destroys Metal. Under the Five Elements concept: When Fire destroys Metal, this is considered creating wealth i.e. one way of creating wealth is to look at the destructive cycle and the element that destroys the next element on the destructive cycle can be considered to produce wealth. However, one must take not that for individuals, for example, if you are a Strong fire person, it is no problem for you to destroy Metal to produce wealth. But if you are a Weak fir…

  23. 1. Suntec.jpg - Is a huge "city" complex in Singapore in the shape of a hand. The concept of symbolism is used in building this complex. This concept uses a hand with the fingers (representing 5 office tower blocks pointing towards the sky) and the palm with the fountain captures wealth i.e. with water flowing into the palm: 1.1 Blue squares - represent Five tower blocks representing a person's five fingers. (In the actual building layout, the fingers bend and point towards the sky - Unlike the one shown in the illustration. At the end of this message, you can visit the actual website if you want to view the image of the entire building. 1.2 The palm of the hand has curr…

  24. Note: 1. I sincerely apologise that the pictures are taken by a non-professional photographer (Cecil) using a simple Sony DSC-F1 camera. The only advantage is that this camera I bought a few years back is small and handy. Best of all I use the "infra-red" to sent to my PC. Sometimes I may take pictures in the evening as in this case. Thanks for your understanding:) 2. It is never my intention to promote the use of figurines. These figurines as I mentioned are quite commonly found in some Chinese homes. 3. It is for purpose of " education " only especially for non-Chinese to understand more about Chinese beliefs and legends. Some of these figures appear in Chinese…
