Dear Toni, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Friday, April 09, 1999 2:32 PM Subject: Re: stove next to fridge?? Since the stove is in the south, this is acceptable because at the south position, the stove is able to `retain' the heat as it is at it's most comfortable location i.e. South. Normally, if the stove is at the South position, you can have the stove face a water element e.g. a frige. This is because a stove at the south can still be `cooled' down by the water element opposite it. Contrast this if you place a stove e.g. in the North sector. Here, you must not let th…

Majority of homes at Cul-De-Sac; don't have such a configuration as mentioned, below; or else; based on the book of Yang Zhia Shi Shu; how one places one's home in relation to other homes can affect health or even leading to death... Enclosed please find a picture of a house where death would occur twice. This is based on the book Yang Zhai Shi Shu http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=2701&new= Therefore, many people prefer to play safe and buy homes that are in uniform rows that don't meander or be in a cul-de-sac. Just imagine, in some cul-de-sac homes, there can be similar layout as shown in the above URL! This is an actual case…

Our education system is famous for rote learning and erh.. but nothing else... No wonder there are so few entrepreneurs in this City State....hmmmmmm Please don't regurgitate; I appeal to you to re-read but no avail...sigh? Smurfs have blue face... so whats wrong with the 2nd attachment and the full text under the 3rd attachment... Further to what I had mentioned, earlier. The reason why the ball on top of a pedestal was shown; is because it makes a good choice to illustrate the mechanics of the Five Element concept with a water fountain. that's all. Do take note that the way a ball rotates can symbolise wealth either coming into or going out of the home. For a rotating …

Please see below:- 1. Once a Flying 1. The Flying Star chart is valid (can be applied to this particular home only). 2. If you do not make any major renovations; this same Flying Star Chart is still applicable after the year 2003 e.g. year 2030 etc... 3. Once you do a major renovation: For example in the year 2005; you did a major renovation, then the house comes under the ' Flying Star " of the Period 8. (Currently 1984 to 2003 comes under Period 7), where if you notice the flying star chart, 7 is in the centre. 2. No you cannot use the same chart to assess your office environment unless the main entrance door is EXACTLY the same location as your existing h…

1. In the link below, you can see a person kneeling down. The person is usually the eldest son. On the back of the eldest son's back is his deceased father's portait. You can clearly see a "learned" person using a Chinese brush coated in black ink. This person is placing "eyes" onto the deceased person's portait. Literally, this is placing an eye on a deceased person's portait. It is symbolic of opening the eyes (not on a physical body) but transferred onto the portait. It is common also for some to purchase Chinease deity figurines and have temples annoint the eyes in a similiar manner. Please see picture below:- http://cgi.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictur…

Hi Master Cecil My unit has a layout almost similar to Lawrence's one. In Lawrence case his unit has a balcony whereas mine is a lanai. So it only has windows rather than an exposed balcony. So in this case I wonder if it is discouraged to have the altar place in lanai area considering it doesn't have balcony features? Thank you.

Dear Phyllis, Thanks for proving a sketch of the layout of the bedroom. Although you have stated that the person sleeping here is Gua (Kua)5, there is no indication of a compass marking to show where the North direction is. As such, I have drawn a sample sketch. Thissketch also shows markings A and B. If we sleepin the directionfrom A to B (as shown in the attachment); this is known asa "coffin position" i.e. our legsshould not be facingthe bedroom door. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Phyllis Lee wrote: Please advise a suitable location for the bed given such a layout (attached). I've read somewhere that the bed should not be in the path of the doorway. The perso…

What is the impact of living near a mosque on the feng shui of a house? Dear Fiona, Fiona K wrote: My house sitting SW & facing NE, but near to a MOSQUE (about 0.5km), is it bad feng shui or bad Chi for a house if near to Mosque? (Main door not facing the mosque). What are the ways to cures? 1. In general, most individuals prefer to steer clear of purchasing a property in close proximity to a Mosque or Temple due to potential noise disturbances and the presence of a large number of visitors. 2. Temples may engage in rituals that can result in uncleanliness as well. It is particularly undesirable if the Mosque is visible, espe…

Yes Master, I agree with your statements, I know many Fukienese in our place which were much, say, laid back than us of Cantonese descent...as they are more versatile in business. The HSBC Tower designed by I.M. Pei, for me isn't really blending with HK skyline...many people protested its construction...say the architects name and the building itself has ominous overtones. I also hear of mirror and ba-gua wars in HK and Guangdong. I also consider myself obsessed with Feng shui, as in taking it literally and with caution. Thanks Master for the time...looking forward to be enlightened again.

Dear Eve, My advice is not to have an open mouth fish-shaped earthen-vase even if it is facing the main entrance door. If you have noticed most of the objects e.g. some consider the 3 legged frog, also have a coin in the mouth of the frog and a `crystal' representing a diamond. It is preferred to have an object with a closed mouth and e.g. a coin or any other precious stones in the mouth. This is symbolic of obtaining wealth. Cecil Lee

Dear Karen, One best test to see if a mirror is located in a good or bad location is by sitting on the bed. If you can see your profile in the mirror either lying down or simply setting on the bed, this is considered no good under Feng Shui. The rationale is because, it was felt that when we sleep, our souls leave our body and when it sees itself in a mirror, it will get a `shock'. This view is widely held although some authors may interpret this differently but still hold on to this concept. In my website, I mentioned that, if you do not have a problem and can sleep peacefully with a mirror facing you, then, go ahead but if you have restless sleeps, perhaps, you may want…

1. Flying Star Feng Shui and Ba zi has a Lowest Common Denominator (LCM) i.e. all it's components can be further analysed under the Five Elements concept. 2. As mentioned, in my previous msg, what I need to say has already being said about the Eight House concept. You can also read up this link:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach

These are some considerations:- 1. From your sketch; the lamp post does not seem to slice thru your main gate. 2. In such a situation, the sha qi from the lamp post is not a threat to your main gate area even if it is a sliding type. 3. Since it is not a threat to the main gate; from a Feng Shui point of view; there is no need to replace or update your main gate; other than for asthethic or cosmetic reasons.

Further to what I had mentioned, for those with difficulties in purchasing the "correct" conCAVE bagua mirror may look at Para 7.2 for more information on "alternatives" to the earlier Ba gua mirror that I had shown in a photo i.e. encased in a red "plastic" ring... Reference URL: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=22507&new= 6. ConCAVE mirror 7. In general, some use this to "SUCK" wealth. For example, some homes have missing corners e.g. North-West sector. And one way is to use a conCAVE mirror placed strategically to "suck" back the wealth. 7.1 As North West is an important sector, the heaven luck sector and the Head of the h…

Hi Fenger, In our Traditional Chinese custom, usually when there is a death in the family, most people will not wish to hold any marriage at least not after 100 days. It is generally considered inauspicious to do so. The actual length of period that most people will avoid having a marriage in the family really depends on your own traditional believes / superstitions. There are some people who will avoid having a marriage for a year, some even 3 years. So it is very difficult to put an actual figure as to the actual length that you must have before any marriage is held. It all depends on the individual. This has more to do with Chinese Believes and Supersitions. Take th…
