Hi Anon, Actually,a house should best fit the breadwinner. If the house fits the breadwinner, it also means that the rest of the family will benefit from the luck of the breadwinner since he earns a living for the entire family. The rest of the family does not need to have the entrance or frontage of the house to fit them individually. As long as, each of the family members have a suitable bedroom in which they draw luck from. So that means that it does not mean that each family member must enter the house using a different entrance (or the entrance that fit them individually). This isn't how this concept should be applied. Feng shui shouldn't be making your life mise…

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, I share the same view as what you had mentioned. 2. Based on observations, I do notice that many Chinese do not display deities like Kwan Imm in closed display shelfs. 3. This is like `imprisoning' the deity. 4. In some of the earlier replies, I have also mentioned:- 4.1. Do not place the statue in the bedroom or on the same wall as the toilet. 4.2. I have not mentioned this but some believers or Feng Shui practitioners do not advise that the statute be placed facing the main entrance door. To these practitioners or believers, it is to them, `disrespectful' to `employ' or `misuse' deities to "guard" your main door. Well, the above are some of…

For a combined Strong Earth vs Strong Wood elements, the best cominbed elements is Metal element. However, metal element alone may not be quite possible to come up with a logo. Thus the following elements may be considered:- MetalWITH Fire Metal = white or metallic colours or silver or gold Fire = Red, pink or purple Shapes associated with the elements can be found below:- Reference:- http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm

Dear Master Cecil We are renovating my HDB four room flat which we have stayed in for more than 10 years. Recently the contractor came, measure everywhere and ask me how deep I want the cabinets to be. Can I ask if there are any auspicious numbers or numbers I should avoid in general? for eg he said shoe cabinet, actually anything from 37 to 40 is ok. But since that will determine the depth of cabinet for the whole wall, I just want to do it corrects… The other side, it will be 25-30cm, again is there any auspicious or inauspicious numbers to avoid? regarding the lying of vinyl tiles, I read from you earlier it should be parallel to the doorway, but i…

Dear Vijay, Yes, it is not Feng Shui but rather Pillars of Destiny that can help one to draw a Company Logo or the visiting card. For example, if you are a weak wood, having a logo in blue, with wavy lines helps to strengthen your weak self with water, or using a logo in yellow or brown, and with a square shape does help you increase your wealth deities. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am having an architect design a house and I want to incorporate feng shui. My front doorshould facenorth, but my garagemust facesouth or east. My lucky number is 1, I am an eastern person, and water is my symbol. How can the design be maximized according to these parameters? I would strongly recommend that you seek professional consultation services to help you on this. It is difficult to provide analysis on such queries simply because a lot of factors have to be considered in order to be able tell you what is the best way. I mean for example, you mentioned the front door should face north. But in your eight house (4 good and 4 bad direc…

Dear Sim Oh, Sim Oh wrote: I have a desk facing 170 degree South which is a corner of the living room, it's a corner desk. Working on the desk has always lead to unproductive work and stress. Isee several potentialproblems with such a layout. 1. The corner from the cupboard will be cutting into you whenever you sit and work. Really better to have a rectangluar table that extends from the cupboard. 2. Also, it is often better to work on a rectangle shaped table rather than such triangle shaped table. 3. The facing direction you have indicated, means that you will be hit by the West sun light if there is no other room to shield this room. I cannot be certain because you…

Dear Kristinna, In general, if you are using the Eight House Theory or East/West Group theory; it is a very general theory to find out your general best direction(s) or a good intangible location. Other than that, if the location is considered inasupicious under the Eight House, the only way is to stay further from the line of inauspcious influence. Other than this, you cannot do much if you continue to `occupy' this location. Other more advanced Feng Shui techniques such as the Flying Star are usually used together. The Flying Star can be used to `trouble-shoot' or fine tune the Feng Shui Audit further. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Alice, I must sincerely apologise as I am unable to provide advice based on *Black Hat Sect* type of questions relating to "illumination bagua" or "wind bagua". If you have a sketch of the specific room, I can take alook based on Shapes and Form theory to see if it is optimized for the above. Otherwise, I am really not much use in " Black Hat Sect aka... type of modern ideas. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lisa, 1. Yes, it is very common to find such a situation in high rise office buildings. 2. Do you have a back (side) cabinet. If you do have a row of cabinet behind your desk; this would be advantages. 3. As this is symbolic of a mountain behind you. On top of this back cabinet, you can also place e.g. a simple paper weight e.g. made of brass or even a crystal. 4. If the back also has blinds, it is best to draw it closed also. Note: The only caution is if a specific set of windows has been earmarked with a red triangle; which is meant for fireman's access, then, one cannot place any of the above at the location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi my husband's desk position in the office is facing his disaster position. There is no other way to move it so it will face another position. Is there anything I can do to counter act this? As you mentioned, there is no other way to move it so nothing much you can do to force that direction to be suitable. As the eight house, simply tells you whether which direction is good or bad. If it is bad, it is best you avoid it. The only other way to minimise the impact could be through improving other areas such as your ba zi element. Check out what element your husband belongs to and then ensure that the colours of the clothings is his favourable …

1. Usually, facing a wall implies that often, in some instances, we may have our back to a door. 2. Thus on it's own, work facing a wall is perfectly alright. 3. Given that you are new and that this type of layout in some office is common to save space or utilise limited space. 4. Under Eight House Feng Shui, it is considered good to sit facing a good direction. So, if you are facing a good direction (Nice-to-have) and not a must have, then this will be one plus point. 5. Having one's back to an entrance door - often is more of personal "comfort" level, as often, nowadays many work on a computer and the screen is visible - plus often many of us don't like being "surpi…

Dear Anon, In terms of this question, with regards to Grand Duke and sitting direction. If possible, you should avoid sitting facing the West. However, where you have constrain in this, then this Grand Duke issue is the least concerned. There are many concepts but not everything has to be followed depending on priority. Since you have a choice of direction North, then it would be advisable to sit facing North. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

1. Please use this link (report link) to generate a report to check which is your favourable sitting position/direction for work:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-workposition.htm 2. However, please note that the above sitting / facing direction for work is contingent on things like the layout plan of the room and/or some of us simply cannot change out sitting positions. 3. Thus, it is considered as "NICE-TO-HAVE" and not a "MUST-HAVE".

Dear Rebecca, 1. I hope you can understand that it is difficult for me with this general information to give you any advise. 2. Perhaps, you can check out for any practitioners in your area. 3. For a SE facing home, it also depends on the age of the home ( 1984 to 2003 = Period 7; 1964 to 1983 = Period 6 or earlier home). In addition, the individual layout of your home especially the bedroom / kitchen etc... has to be considered also. Best of Luck!

Thank you, I will try this. Now I need advice for the office there is some one here that wants to get me fired, at least that's the conclusion I've come to.She vandelizes my desk and when she does something wrong she finds a way to blame me for it. She is very cunning and hasvery convincable ways of going about this. She dumps all of her work on me and she doesn' t do a thing all day. I work as hard as I can, and thanks to her I'm not getting the credit I deserve, she gets credit for things she doesn't even do. When I get a good idea and she hears it, she goes to my bossand passes it as her idea. What can I do to stop this.

Dear Silvia, I understand your problem. It is currently difficult to have FS onsite consultation in Italy other than to source for the nearest neighours such the UK. At the moment, I believe there is no other choice but to use offsite consultation services. If you a sketch of how your `L shaped' house and need to find the centrepoint... feel free to upload to this forum i.e. The conference for attaching layout. For your information, we are currently collaborating on an the Italian version of GEOMANCY.NET run by reputable professionals who is also one of my students. More details in the future..
