Dear Anon, I am glad you find this website useful. If you want to just understand Feng Shui `lightly' please do not hestitate to view the caricatures at http://mypictures.geomancy.net Most of them are educational and makes understanding Feng Shui Fun. Usually, it is best to use the compass readings based on an empty site. However, even in a empty site, make sure that the ground below also does not have metal. The best method is to walk the ground and take compass readings from several locations outside the building. For the Compass School Feng Shui: The Eight House Theory and Flying Star, as the name suggest, it is truly based on the Compass readings But if one is more i…

Dear Master Lee, I understand that the basic of determining the feng shui of a residential house is to first determine the facing direction of the house. However, i have trouble to determine the house as attached below. Should the facing based on the main entrance or where the river and public road locate. Appreciate much your kind advice. Thank you.

Hi Cecil, I know there is posting on the Green Dragon & White Tiger. However, please excuse me because i cannot determine the GD & WT base on the explanation there as i'm living in an apartment with balcony allign to the main door. Can you please tell me whether i should stand inside the house facing the Main Door or Balcony to determine the left & right for Green Dragon & White Tiger? Some says that there are more chi coming in from balcony so we should face the balcony. So i'm confused. Fyi, the whole apartment main entrance is also having the same facing as the balcony which face South. My Main Door faces North. Please help me so that i know…

Further to what I had mentioned:- Flying Star Feng Shui is used in particular to look at the frontage (water star - if any) of a landed property or locations where there can reasonably be a mountain star. Thus, as mentioned earlier, if Metal elements or Water elements are detected, water or flat level areas can be enhanced - especially if Metal stars are present. For mountain stars, it can be located at the side of the house (next to main entrance) or at the back of the house - if a mountain star is found at that specific sector). The above together with Shapes and Forms MUST be taken under consideration, TOGETHER and should not be viewed separately. Other than the above,…

Dear Master, I would like to thank you in advance for taking your time to review and advise on my question. My new house was built in 2015, with attached floor plan. However, I really don't know where to determine the center of the house (to apply the eight house and flying star) as the kitchen at the outside of the living area. The Product Showroom was the open space without door before, and I just make new glass door to make use this space for displaying product and livestream room. My very great pleasure for your help on this. Thank you Master.

Dear Cindy, Would firstly appreciate that you do not post a message without any message content. Anyway, a house birthdate is defined as when the house was built (ie 1999 (would be a period 7 house). If there are renovations (especially major ones), ie hacking of walls or changing of interior structure of the house or expansion of the house etc. Such major renovations may cause a birthdate to be changed to a new period. So in such cases where major renovation was done after the house was built, the house might be converted to the year the major renovation was done. Hope that helps. Dear Jason, Quote: Quote: Master Cecil Lee ever said : 1. Apartment (2nd-7th level), main door facing direction. 2. Apartment (8th level and up), living room/balcony is the facing direction. 3. Landed property, facing of the frontage of the house. And I guess in order to get the correct compass reading FOR the Balcony, stand in the center of the Balcony like the Floor Plan.jpg attach together I really could not see the attached file you had attempted to send. As NNTP does not accept attachment postingsif I remember correctly. Any attachment is usually removed. You see the problem here is that flying star can be applied in may different types of frontage and for d…

My husband and I are West group people. Since NE & SW are Devil's Gate & Devil's Back Door, does it mean we cannot activate these corners since these are our good compass directions? Or only windchimes are not advisable?

Dear Alex, In general, toilet positions at true compass directions including a toilet directly at the North East are considered inauspicious. For example, in building a new home, it would be ideal not to situate the toilet directly at true compass directions such as e.g. 0 degrees - North; 45 degrees - North East; 90 degrees - East and at SE, South, SW, West & NW. One reason is because, the Compass School of Feng Shui places significance to such directions where, each Gua or Kua (Trigram) is located. Where best, the toilet is situated away from these degrees. A more accurate situation is not to locate them especially/particularly the toilet bowl, at 15 degrees increm…

Dear Glyn Apologise for " scaring you " on the topic of Devil's gate. The point to note here is that:- From what I understand, your house is large by comparison. But the main important consideration is that the trees `orderly' planted and it should be well kept and and the space surrounding it tidy. This would be OK. For the West, you can still continue to place the windchime as this is your very auspcious location. But try to avoid at SW. Dear Cecil/Robert: While checking out the flying star for SW1/P8 home, I saw the above description "diagonal star robbery formation" whichexplained "the occupants will enjoy good health, wealth and prosperity for such a house". The aboveexplanationis very confusing to me. SW1/P8 has ms5, ws8, bs5, ys1. The 'diagonal star', I assume, are ms5 and bs5 (isn't the combination of two stars 5s the worst?). Plus the word 'robbery' doesn't sound good to me. The eigh-one combination for ms5 and ws8 is inauspicious. With all this analysis, I don't understand why it said "theoccupants will enjoy good health, wealth and prosperity..." Would you be kindly explain it further? Thank …

Dear Anon, Apologies, I still do not understand your question. To analyse a house, one should instead use proper tools like Flying Star Theory. One look at whether the house should be at the top or bottom quadrant is `too superficial' way of looking at things. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Cecil, Thank you very much for your advice. I have not much problem getting the "center point" of an apartment. Next, I would like to consult you as how to divide a flat into 3x3 grid. Wondering if there is any "formula" to draw the grid. Again, for rectangular flat, it would be quiet straight forward to divide it into 3x3 grid i.e. we will get 9 squares. For diamond shape flat, there are many posibilities. Attached are the sample. And each possibilty will have different "result" because the position of each square will be different. Please advise as what are the things that we should bring into consideration when we divide a flat into 3x3 grid. …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Just wondering... It is said that I am Strong Water. I am a cartoonist, illustratorand a graphic novelist. Art is water too, yes? Does that mean I took the wrong career? If I only consider your career suitability, yes probably cartoonist, illustrator and graphic novelist will be considered weater element and so not suitable for you. However, there are many areas in your life (ie your house suitability/element, your career, the colours/element you wear, the people around you, your own luck period etc). Of which the house will have the greatest amount of luck. So if you want to have water career, then you need to make sure you have at least a W…

Dear White, 1. Frankly, this does not come under the perview of Feng Shui. 2. Often, it is based on location, location, location and the selling price. 3. But, currently with the glut in the property market i.e. where buyers are spoilt for choice, it really - unfortunately makes it much harder to sell even if it is near to the valuation price. 4. Overall, based on many Real Estate agent's advice: 4.1 Try not to clutter the house with too many furniture. 4.2 Try to touch up areas or walls that are dirty. Otherwise, Feng Shui is not the way to go, here. Unless, you can find good `Feng Shui' points. Here again, one man's meat is another man's poison. Wishing you all the b…

Hi Carmen, Spook and Irritation are considered acceptable in most case. It is even worse if the room is in the death or disaster sector. If the house is suitable to your husband (assuming he is the breadwinner for the house), then this isn't a big issue, as he will be obtaining his luck from the house. This will offset the slightly less suitable bedroom. It is almost impossible to get a home with 100% zero flaws. There is bound to be some slight flaws here and there. As long as you fix up and correct all other flaws that can be corrected, it will reduce any impact from the slight flaw in one concept. So fix up all other flaws in the home and enhance your own persona…

Dear Anamika, 1. Thank you for bringing this up. 2. From what I understand (previously)... I have not really looked into detail his `formula' or method; but from what I understand (correct me if I am wrong), he is quite innovative and created a variant of partially using the Natal Chart and some parts of the Lo Shu numbers i.e. a bit like combining Eight House and Flying Star theory. While the Natal chart used here, is soley for the purpose of the 4 good and 4 bad directions (East or West House) or Eight House Theory. 3. In my opinion, it is always good to follow thru with one method ie. and where possible try not to `mix' one person's method with another. For example, sa…

Dear Carpazia, Further to what I had mentioned earlier; we can look at the Eight House Theory from a different perspective by asking some questions: 1. How suitable is the house to the breadwinner? If the main entrance is the breadwinner's " death or disaster intangible force "; then this house is considered the most unsuitable to the breadwinner. 2. If the house is most unsuitable to the breadwinner - what does it imply/mean? It means that overall, the breadwinner would not enjoy a quantum leap in Feng Shui. Do note however, that if the Shapes and Form of the house is excellent (or exceptionally excellent) this can instead provide a quantum leap in Feng Shui. 3. If there…

Dear Hock Chuan, ong hock chuan wrote: I am a bit confuse between Birth Element and Kua Element because my Kua Element is wood while my Birth element is water. Kua element or Eight House analysis is based only on YEAR of birth. While ba zi element or Ba Zi (4 Pillars/Pillars of Destiny), calculates from the day, month, year and time of birth (if available). Eight House is typtically useful for it's suitability check, as even though it is simple it has proven time and again to provide a good suitability check assessment. However, we normally do not use the Kua element as the true birth element as only the YEAR of birth was considered. True birth element is usually assse…

Dear Vicky, Gua or Kua is based on Ba Chai or Eight House or 4 good / 4 bad directions. Thus although it has an element, it is better to associate your Gua with directions - primarily. vicky conjamalay wrote: hello sir, my kua element is fire and my feng shui element is earth. Could you tell me how these two elements make their effect on me. Waiting for reply. Thanks. I am not sure what you mean by Feng Shui element? Earth? Do you actually mean your Ba Zi element e.g. Strong or weak earth? If you truly mean Ba Zi, then, it is much easier to associate it with the Five elements concept. Thus as mentioned above: Either a person is a Strong Earth or a weak earth pers…
