Dear Hoa Luong, 1. According to Feng Shui principles, it is advisable to avoid placing a mirror behind a cashier's counter, as well as on either side of it, particularly in finance or accounting settings. 2. Cats, like all living beings, possess emotions and the capacity to feel pain. It is worth considering the perspective of being born as one of these animals. 3. The primary concern with keeping cats as pets is the potential for allergies in some individuals, including children. Generally, pet owners tend to maintain hygiene through regular bathing. 4. While stray cats often groom themselves, feeding them may not be advisable. Similar to guidelines i…

    1. All wind chimes that are used in Feng Shui are generally:- 1.1. No fancyful colours. They are either copper plated or bronze plated ones. 1.2. They should often be 6 hollow rods - not solid rods. 1.3. They can also be two materials e.g. wooden roof supporting the rods with a wooden clinger. 2. Where to place it? 2.1. By feel or trial and error. If you are not into using proper Feng Shui tools to analyse a home, then you simply to go by feel or trial and error. 2.2. Only after doing a proper analysis, the Feng Shui master or even a DIY person, would then see if it is feasible to place a wind chime. Your question is just like: - You: (You walk into an A and E 2…

Hi, 1. Basically, best to avoid sharp objects as this can create poision arrows ( or knives) that may be pointed to the bed or the study table. 2. For other objects such as a globe, it is acceptable. In real life, we would like to surround our homes with decorations and this is perfectly ok. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, One `rule' under Feng Shui is that if you cannot see the poision, it is no longer a threat. For those who are new to this forum, here are some examples of how this concept is applied: 1. One reason why many FS practioners ask you to place a screen between the main door and (say if there is a straight backdoor) or a staircase is that if you cannot see the offending sha, it no longer becomes a threat. 2. If a poision arrow is aimed at your window, this is why one method is to use a thicker set of curtain to `block' off the poision arrow. I have seen the latest car net (sun screens) as those you mentioned. The driver who drives behind the car cannot really see ins…

    1. Another most effective moving metal is a simple clock. 2. For example, those found say at Ikea ... those "silver metallic" looking ones. It can be brushed stainless aluminium look with simple functioning dials. Most simple seiko, casio type of clocks will do. 3. Or a traditional mechanical ones... for example, recently I wona bid on Ebay for a lovely mechanical alarm clock. What is most effective is the "tick-tock" of a traditional alarm clock which can be placed on a table top. 4. Refrigerator (fridge). In fact most of us are not aware; a fridge is considered as one of the largest metal object and it is already a plus point, here. 5. A micro-wave oven. Those…

Frankly, a statement such as this is either placing it thru your personal feelings or by "chance". As mentioned previously, on this same topic; your statement has nothing to do with the way Authentic Traditional Feng Shui has been used to analyse a home as well as checking to see if a water position may be placed there. Thus what you mentioned, is purely based on "personal feeling". Quote: Paramjeet K. wrote: Is placing a fish tank at the dining Room advisable ?

  11. Dear Anon, Sorry for the confusion. The Chinese belief of the 7th Month is based on Chinese practises rather than on Feng Shui. Predominantly, you will find most Chinese Feng Shui practioners (in countries like Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Far East) following this practise. Thus you will understand that this practise is not based on Feng Shui. Some Feng Shui practioners e.g. those migrated to Canada or the US may consider this `superstition'. One reason is because their clients may not be Chinese and therefore feel that this is not a `taboo'. Let me elaborate how most of us follow this practise: It is because, most of the time, our clients would not move in to a new house o…

Dear Anon, Symbolically, it is good not to display broken objects. Since the Fu Dogs are decorative items, one can dispose off-them the usual way e.g. either dispose it by ourselves or pay others to get rid of it for us. Warmest Regards, Cecil

This link is useful on "Bau-bologie". Which is the Germany study `similiar' with Feng Shui:- http://www.bau-biologieusa.com/ Quote and Credit from the above site:- What is Bau-biologie? The German term "Bau-biologie" means "building biology" or "the relationship between buildings and life" and could be defined as: The impact of the building environment on human health, and the application of this knowledge to the construction, or modification, of homes and workplaces, and The holistic interaction between human life and other life-forms with our environment.

Under the Compass of School of Feng Shui: the concept of Eight House can be used to check what is the best bed-head facing:- http://64.19.142.11/www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/reports-list.htm Favourable Sleep Position? Generating Sleep Position Report? Sleep Position Report Example Generate Now Often the above concept is considered as "nice-to" have and not a must-have. This is because we still need to consider the "Shapes and Forms" aspect of each bedroom. As most bedroom(s) may/could/would/should have a bedroom door and/or some ventilation windows and/or attached toilet. Thus, instinctively many of us already roughly have an idea of how we would like to p…

  21. Hi Cecil As you know, I am involved with a 30 unit development here in Perth. For AU$1.6 M you get 255 sq metres of indoor floor space and 155 sq metres of balcony and terrace. A huge price difference. Here, we do not have any developments like Sterling, mainly because we have much more room to move than in Singapore. I was interested to see that the swimming pool appears not to have rounded edges. Cheers Glyn

    1. If you are able to analyse your home using a proper Flying Star Feng Shui chart; you can try to neutralise this issue by locating especially where is the Mountain star #3 and water star #3. 2. These stars #3 are related to issues such as what you had mentioned. If you are able to disarm or neutralise these stars; it would often help to relieve such a problem.

    1. Please note that the dates are based purely on the way we Chinese calculate auspicious dates. 2. By tradition, the Chinese in the past and even now, don't see Friday 13 as bad!For example, the saying goes.. one man's meat is another man's poision. Even in the western world, there are some who says that Friday 13 is lucky for them, while perhaps, majority fear it. 3. For the Chinese, especially the Hokkien Dialect group, the no. 6 is considered a lucky number. As the phonetic sound in Hokkien dialect : "6" means LUCK. Especially for Christians, many don't like "666" - devils number. But to Chinese Hokkiens, 666 means LUCK, LUCK, LUCK. 4. Thus, what is suppose to be …

One office cubicle has a big column or pillar right next to the wall panel of the cubicle that when I sit down in front of my desk, I could see the column that goes up to the ceiling behind the wall panel, but this cubicle has good privacy. In my opinion, based on the Holy trinity of luck: two of the luck factors are: Feng Shui (Earth Luck) and Human factor. Here, as you had mentioned, the Human factor wins hands down for the above. Many offices use rounded columns if so, there should not be an issue. and often due to false ceiling; it is also a no issu…
