Dear Balbir, Balbir Anand wrote: What is a good direction for a cooking Range to face in the Kitchen for harmony. In general, the best direction for kitchen should go to who does the most cooking in the house to feed the rest of the family. ie if the wife of the house does most of the cooking, then it is best you have the cooking stove/area face the direction she commonly use. This is to give her the best amount of luck when she cooks. You can use the free eight house report to determine the best direction for the person from this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm The other method is to depend on the layout. But this is hard for a…

1. Many people are in your situation where they had purchased a home and started to "fiddle" with Feng Shui and Oops! this is bad or that is bad. 2. Most or many homes are fixed and based on the concepts that you had mentioned, they are meant more for those who have yet to build and trying to avoid such areas. Frankly there is no perfect home, and honestly there are relatively "no antidote" other than Para 2. (Which often is not practical which means moving out of a home....)Thus, you have look at other options of maximizing qi from other areas of the home:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks Quote: Steve J. wrote: Hello... Dear Tian Wan, It would seem to me that you are refering either to the ba gua or the 24 ba zi feng shui theory. However, in either case, it would seem that only South is good for you. North cannot not be good for you as Water destroy fire. Since you are a weak fire, water is bad for you. (This is assuming that we only take your element as weak fire ignoring other details) (Unless of course it is based on another theory etc) The other good directions are like East (wood) which helps to produce fire. 1. Feng Shui of the house itself should be good especially in key areas such as Main Door sector and bedroom of the breadwinner 2. The Main Door should be such that ei…

Please note that the 10 Yearly Luck Pillars shows on average each 10 yearly luck of a person. It is based on an OVERALL AVERAGE luck for that 10 years. In any ba zi report, it will have the Yearly and even 6th monthly luck. For example even in any 10 year period; there are always "ups and downs" even for any year and even every 6 months.

Dear Jason, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, June 28, 1999 2:07 PM Subject: Office FengShui If you only have a partition, then you cannot really apply the Flying Star, as it is too small an area for a house/office evaluation type. You can make use of the Eight House instead to face and work in your best direction. The only way you can do it is to use the entrance to the entire office, then take the subsector which you partition resides in. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Chai, This is based on the Eight Aspirations or Eight/Life Associations where North is the career sector. The above is based on the interpretation of the Gua Trigram where North = Career sector. Unfortunately, this is a general statement and is not personalised to anyone. It is like saying that North = Water sector. Due to the many other Feng Shui theories available which are personalised to an individual: especially Eight House Theory, Flying Star. In my opinion, I consider this Kindergarden Feng Shui or `pre-school' level. Here, it is too general a theory. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Seems like Savannah Condo Park is considered a "pet project" of CDL Properties because of it's extra emphasis of giving this condo a one-of-a-kind theme. 2. The plus point for this condo is that the highest floor is 9th (penthouse). (As compared to many others that rise higher than 20 plus floors). An advantage -here. 3. Because of the maximum 9th storey, it is acceptable for an "eye" shaped-like top-view layout plan. Since qi can still flow sufficiently all round the inner blocks. (Contrast this to the Costa Del Sol condo at East Coast. In my opinion, because of it's height - high rise - the higher the blocks, greater is the unbalanced qi for an `eye' shape…

1. From my perspective, I have encountered numerous individuals who have opted for resale condominiums. Nevertheless, the majority of these units are fitted with either new or reasonably well-maintained stoves. Many people deem it unnecessary to replace such appliances. 2. This tendency is a fundamental aspect of human nature. When we receive feedback, particularly from our parents, we often engage in deep reflection regarding our actions. 3. Frequently, it requires someone close to us to provide critical feedback in order to stir feelings of guilt within ourselves. 4. Your inquiry is primarily centered on personal beliefs and does not pertain to the princi…

Further to those who are new to this forum:- In the past, I have posted the following information: 1. Use the 5 elements concept (Ref: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/5element.htm ) Under the destructive element: Example 1: If you are a strong metal person, in order for this person to create wealth, he `destroys' the element wood. If you are a strong wood person, by destroying `Earth' you create wealth If you are a strong earth person, by destroying `Water' you create weath etc... Under the above condition, you must be STRONG in order to destroy the element `in-front' to create wealth. What happens if I am a `weak' ____ person? For example, if you are a weak metal person, yo…

Hi everyone, Any body interested in chinese symbolism should try the book called "Feng Shui Dos & Taboos by author Angi Ma Wong. The best thing I liked about this book was that author has published a disclaimer on the first page of the book saying that all recommendations are made without guarantee on the part of the author. Basically author is merely presenting the information without any claims like other BTB authors who guarantee solution for every problem and pray on emotions of innocent public.

1. Please check out this link: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2008.htm 2, The closest to what you are asking is based on the Grand Duke concept:- Grand Duke this year is North, 0 Degree. - Avoid sitting facing the grand duke or disturbing him by having renovations Here the concept is based on planet Jupiter which is consdered to be majority of the time at North O degrees. 3. For other luck, can try to activate Mountain Star #8 in a home.

Frankly, this is not acceptable morally in my country. As stagnant clean water can be a site for mosquito breeding. From a moral point of view, it may become illegal if this stagnant pool is found to be breeding mosquitoes. Perhaps, so long as your country does not have mosquitoes, then hmmmm... In the past especially 1960's to even early 1980's garage roofs always have a drainage pipe running towards the bottom. As the government found that many of these homes have clogged drainage pipes... especially due to debris like leaf falling into them, such drainage pipes are now totally banned. All roofing nowadays are purposely sloped to channel away rain water but no drain…

Further to what I had mentioned earlier, traditional Feng Shui should be: 1. Based on the Five Elements. 2. If it is not based on the Five Elements, at least, it can be related to Yin and Yang concept. (The only exception is the Eight House Theory where it is still based on the Compass School of Feng Shui) 3. Under Symbolism, it is looked at in relation to "holistic" Feng Shui. It cannot be cited all the time. If it is `cited' all the time or used as an `excuse' all the time without at least in some instances related to Para 1 (5 elements) or Para 2 (Yin and Yang) most likely in my opinion, the person is simply practising `Kindergarten Feng Shui'. Usually, if one looks c…

Dear Anon, Both 1 & 8 are considered good combinations. However, even if the stars are good, it also depends on a person's personal luck element and not soley on the Flying star combination. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear April, 1. The most important consideration is the stove. a. Where possible, the stove should not be under a beam. b. Check that there is (where possible) no water pipe that criss-cross or run along the stove. c. Position the stove with a `support' e.g. a wall. Never place the stove `supported' by a window. d. Where possible let the stove face into the house i.e. facing inside the house (in relation to the main entrance). e. As for the dishwasher, since it is a `water position', it is acceptable to be placed closed to the sink or below the sink. As both are of the water element. There should not be an issue even if it is used. In modern Feng Shui, the main criteria …

Dear John, EAST 1. In my opinion, there are many things that have no right or wrong answers especially if they dwell on beliefs. 2. Personally, my parents although they are not a buddhist but when they purchased their home, one consideration was to have the house facing the `East' (like what you had mentioned, the rising sun). 3. In fact, I recalled many years back when they chose their home, houses facing `east' in my country had cost more (or a premium) over houses facing west. (These houses at that time either faced east or west). 4. In the above senario, what this means is that the bedroom (master bedroom usually face east). 5. This is a good choice especially since,…

Dear Anon, Usually, the "sunken" part or the lower level can be the living room. Quite often, many houses have `split-levels where there are steps leading up to the dining room. Here, it is acceptable for the living room to be at the lower level. Usually, this lower level is level to the house exterior or slightly raised up. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sushma, 1. In Singapore, often, I have only seen the lower income to `lower middle' income buy such objects. Rarely if any; do I see the mid-middle income to higher-middle income to the rich buy such things. This would `give' a clue as to it's usefulness. 2. Sometimes, it is not advisable to bring in any type of `figurines' into the home. There are often many situations where, (if in an occasion that) we bring in the `wrong things' than this can be detrimental. 3. Perhaps, try to SEARCH for " tomb " or " Japanese " where I had written an actual case of `inviting' the wrong spirits home. 4. I am not saying that your figurine has anything to do with or remotely to do w…

This is under the category of "symbolism" in Feng Shui. And nice-not to have the WC sharing the same wall as the stove. In many of the write-ups of uncompleted condo units: I have also noticed and highlighted that it is "nice-not-to" have the wc sharing the same wall as the stove especially if they are directly next-wall to each other.

Dear Nina, 1. In my opinion, using `fixed' Ba Gua template is not proper FS concepts. 2. However, I have taken the opportunity to marked out the `centre-point' of your house. If you are using Compass School Feng Shui methods such as: Eight House of Flying Star, you can take a compass reading (refer to house1a.bmp) and `aim' the compass towards the main entrance. The compass reading will determine the direction of your main entrance door. 3. For the second part of the `L' shaped layout, you can super-impose the map to this other half. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please download attached file.
