    1. Early, I am referring to real water. 2. Another form of "water" or some refer it as "yin" water is possible. Yin water can be considered as colours or e.g. wall paint &/or curtains &/or bed sheet. 3. Water element in terms of colours: Blue, black or grey or shades of them. It can also be wavy pattern. 4. You might want to use colours instead or "Yin water instead". But definitely not REAL water especially an aquarium in the bedroom. 5.In this modern commercial times; where everthing is "in the name of Feng Shui"; frankly, many have the idea thatsuccessfullFeng Shui isabout enhancing wealth and thinks ways and meansto try enhancing their home not knowing th…

    1. As I mentioned, in the previous message; if Feng Shui is to be applied; usually it is based on Para 2... e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui and/or in the Far East, if a place has good Shapes and forms Feng Shui; it can sell by itself. 2. If you are especially say in the US, housing market is pretty stale at the moment with tons of homes on foreclosure and many uanble to get proper loans. 3. Honestly, Feng Shui is not a cure all. Only those that has been mentioned in my last msg (refer to Para 2 of that msg) and under Para 1, of this msg.

    1. If one is trying to DIY; then one of the first report(s) especially for the Male and Female breadwinner(s) should be considered:- The Eight House Report: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm Usually, from this report; especially the Male breadwinner's best facing direction should be considered. 2. The forum has lots of resources like what is considered as the facing direction etc... 3. Question like should the master bedroom be suitable to the Male breadwinner or sometimes both male and female breadwinners have different directions, then what? 4. If you want to DIY, you really (really) have to be patient and read up lots of resources. 5. Fo…

    1. In real life situations; it is the interaction of the home Feng Shui with one's ba zi element. 2. Thus, most people would normally: "wear" the favourable colours in their HOME. For example, if one has a child, one would "wear" the favourable colours onto the child's bedroom. For example: the colour of the walls, curtains and bedsheets. Or when buying a car, many would also consider the choice of car colours suitable to their ba zi. 3. In many instances, many people don't often seriously wear certain colours - if it is not practical. The sterotyping is that women = red or pink and men = blue. And what happens if the male has a ba zi that favours red colour? Wear red a…

    1. In the past, careers can easily be categorised without hesistation. 2. Nowadays, especially with multi-skills involved, one has to find out what is one's major job function. 3. However, in today's world roughly all occupations could be classifed as under:- 3.1. What industry is it in? 3.1.1 For example: Hospital is considered wood element; IT as water element; Real Estate as earth element etc... 3.2. What is the major job specification? If one is doing sales or marketing than it is fire element. While customer relations is related to earth etc... 4. The above, will show that in today's modern job scope; in general, the industry and job scope are taken into consid…

  7. 1. It is best to look at this issue based on the concept of the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system:- 1.1 Heaven Luck - what one is born with (and the dreaded "prediction" of Luck for or against a person. 1.2 Earth Luck - Feng Shui of the home and office. 1.3 Human or Man Luck - factors. 2.1 Amongst all the above Three "forms of Holy Trinity of Luck". The Heaven Luck segment has the most number of escape clauses. From things like education, one's surroundings - shaped by family, friends; and some even say things like pilanthropy - doing good etc.. or karma sort of thing. 2.2 Under Heaven Luck also one must never fall under : auto-suggestion and self-fullfilling proph…

Was it really a auspicious hour or just because of Cantonese saying "striking prosperity" which would bring good luck. Yes, you are absolutely correct! It has to do with the phonetic sound like "Cantonese word". Usually .18 or even .19 or .38 or 39 is chosen after the suitable time of the"Boss" has been choosen. For example; his best time on that day is between 11am to 1pm. For first-time open door procedure(s); usually .38 or .39 is preferred. As 3 in mandarin means UP and "mountain". And the "8" prosperity and "9" mandarin for longevity. Many in Singapore bid for either lo…

  10. For 2: the best is to close the door when not in use. For 1: if the toilet location has bad flying star numbers; that would indirectly be good. Such questions are something like: my earlier example of a person who has 7 grown up family members. He is now driving a saloon car (capacity of 5 persons). How are you going to squeeze the other two family members in that car - I wonder. Go get a Deluxe MPV with a seating capacity of 7 to 8 persons, then. 1. Further to what I had mentioned, these are some other considerations:- 1.1. Why did you recommend a general cure for the living room but not my children's bedroom? 1.2. For the children's bedroom there is another set of consideration: 1.2.1 For example the ba zi of the child or if there are more than one child; their ba zi has to be looked at in total. 1.2.2 For example: Child A is a strong metal person. And child B is a strong wood element. And both stay in a bedroom. [1.] Child A, Female - 07 Oct 1993 5.00 a.m. to 6.59 a.m. Birth Element: Strong Metal Favourable Element/Colour: Water (blue/black/gray), Fire (red), Wood (green/brown) Unfavourable Element/Colou…

    1. Usually, the most common method to determine whether it could be used at that sector is thru the 20 Year Flying Star chart. 2. For example: if the main entrance area has nasty stars like:- 2.1 #5 and/or #2 and/or with #9 then RED will further inflame either #5 (misfortune/sickness) or #2 (sickness) 2.2 On the other hand, if the sector has #3 or even #4; RED would be good at that sector. 3. "Rule-of-thumb" method: some just ignore what I had mentioned above - and go for it......

    1. One has to understand that Flying Star Feng Shui is dynamic based on "time dimension". 2. Even for a home or any given home: each home or sector in a home mathematically has the following variable:- Under the 20 Year flying star: there are:- Mountain star: variable 1 Water star : variable 2 Base (Palace star) : variable 3 You mentioned the Year star: variable 4 There are such things as: Monthly star: variable 5 Daily star : variable 6 Hourly star: variable 7 Seconds star: variable 8 3. Mathematically:there are an interplay of at least 8 variables and only when there are an unfortunate clusters of #5 ... then one is in deep shit. Do not play loud music or have…

But with the arrival of the nasty #5 Year star, strong earth, I fearit might further strengthen the double #7s metal. My questionsare - will Y…

Dear Master Cecil, Can I ask you some questions regarding the issues of Grand Duke position and Conflict sector? I am slightly puzzled about these two points. The Grand Duke is in the Northeast in 2010 Tiger Year, so does it mean we should avoid renovating this sector in the house or opposite it which is Southwest? Which sector is the no-no, Northeast or Southwest? The Conflict sector is in the North. So which sector of the house is not advisable for renovations, the North sector itself or the South which is opposite North? Thanks a lot

Majority of homes should easily weather themselves from bad situations with or without Feng Shui. In some low lying countries; the main concern is that for such apartments; is - if there is sudden flooding i.e. where the nearby drains leading to the sea got clogged and or due to sudden heavey downpour in the Tropics. 2.2. Commsense Feng Shui is about making sure that the home is reasonably neat and tidy and : "clear space" is very common word to use, here. 2.3. Being in the basement; it is still good to ocassionaly "air" the home e.g. good to once a while - especially after a down pour to let outside air circulate within the hom…

    1. Charcoal stove = traditional "portable" stove. 2. Portable gas stove = modern, non-traditional. 3. Para 1; considered NICE-to-Do. Not a MUST-Do. 4. Frankly, in my opinion, if you are considering Para2; above; you may be the very first in Singapore, JB, Batam and even in the Far East. And maybe, one day, this becomes a new tradition. 5. In my opinion, if one does not do Para 1; no need to go so far as to search for another more modern portable gas stove. 6. In fact, for the last 20 years or so; there are so many variants of the "lighted" stove:- 6.1. The most common method is buy one at the common neighbourhood store and add charcoal wrapped in red paper and bring…

Please refer to the attached resource: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=26954&new= For practical reasons, the smallest Asian sized door width is 35 inches. For European or American standard - should be 42 inches or 48 3/4 inches roughly within such a range. Commonsense approach is that if the width is larger; the larger clearance the door has to "swing" inwards. And imagine if the door size is 58 inches (one or two leaves) a…
