The rationale is because, it is not feasible to place a partition or screen between the bedroom door and the staircase. 3. An alternative is to place a screen or e.g. a 4 drawer linen cabinet between the door and the bedroom. 4. Dear Anon, The common "cure" is to place a red circular "dot" (e.g. using a permanent marker, or a circular red sticker the size of a hole-pucher hole or the use ofa "girls" reddish nail varnish. Just simply place the "dot" on the key hole area or just above the keyhole of the doorknob. Place the same "dot" exactly on the same area of the other door. However, one should get proper consultations before placing a wind chime. (Especially if one is placing at the NE, NW and West) locations of the house. A hanging mobile or crystal is not advised. For your case, I have seen the doors and felt that it is `minor' and in my opinion, will not have any effect on your family. As opposed to the headboard which is symbolic of sleeping in a tomb.
