    1. Numbers are like : one man's meat is another man's poison. 2. Numbers are very subjective. In fact, I know of many Chinese who are not superstitious of the number 13. While some others are very fearful of this number. 3. For some westerners 13 is an inauspicious number. But generally, many Chinese don't care too hoots about living on the 13th floor or a house number with 13. 4. For example, Singapore Airlines business class has only cabin numbers that are 12 and they skip 13. Thus, you can only find seats that are 12A, 12B, 12C, 12D etc.. and 14A, 14B etc... 5. Frankly, some Chinese also have no adverse "reaction" to the number 4 or 4 or 444 or even 14. 6. Common sense…

  2. Edited by Robert: There is no promise as to whether Cecil will have time to review the condo that you have listed as he is extremely busy. Hi Cecil, I am a new member here and find this site extremely interesting. It provides a comfort zone to analyse when one faces related feng sui issues. Had read your review and some of your feedback about condominium at or around Flora Road - specifically Dahlia Park and so. Wonder if you have any review about the blocks at Estella Gardens TOP 1999, which is located at Flora Road as well. Would appreciate your view. What do you think about this Project in general? and anyparticular view on the blo…

Dear Anon, Unfortunately, since you mentioned that this is the only possible position you can place the altar. Then, there is very little you can do to re-position it. I mean Feng Shui is also actually about common-sense. I mean if course when possible if you are able to it is best to place it in the best possible position. But sometimes, these things happen and there is no possible alternative for you. So you just have to make do. When you look at feng shui, you have to look at it in a wholistic approach. Meaning that there are major issues right down to minor issues. It does not mean that just because one area is wrong, you will be faced with issues. Frankly, it t…

Dear Anon, More likely, one does not actually attrack gossips. Unless one stays in a home where there are either a concentration or happens to sleep in or work in a location especially where there are Flying Star no(s): #3 (romance, scandals, gossips) stars! In my opinion; this has nothing to do with Feng Shui. But rather, own cultural customs, beliefs and personal feelings. I believe there are some people who felt that it is not good to simply "trash" the figurine. If so, one may wrap it and store it away.

The saying goes: One man's meat is another man's poison... There are tons of numerology calculations. And in this example, the current Prime Minister of Malaysia loves the number "11". For Najib, it all adds up to 11 PETALING JAYA - When Prime Minister Najib Razak announced Parliament's dissolution on Wednesday, it was apparently linked to his favourite number - 11. Datuk Sen Najib's audience with the Malaysian King took place on 3/4/13: The numerals added up to 11 (3+4+1+3), as observed by Deputy Higher Education Minister Saifuddiri Abdullah. When Mr Najib was driven to the palace, he was in a Proton limousine with the number plate WRX 11. He lives in house number 11 i…

In my opinion; as far as I know; I have not heard or at least there is no evidence to suggest that tattoo's have a direct or even indirect impact on a person's (well-being) or luck. From a holistic approach to Feng Shui; there are many other factors associated to luck. And tattoos are never mentioned, here.

Dear Michele, You may have to check out if there are any master who had listed themselves in our Feng Shui Directory at http://www.geomancy.net/links/index.htm. Dear Angelica, 1. Yes, it is a common occurence to place two tiger statues with mouths wide open on each side of the main entrance door mainly for protection. 2. Try to add a red ribbon on the neck of each of the tiger statues. 3. Basically, the tiger statue e.g. white or gold represents the Metal element. 4. And the red ribbon helps to control the tiger. Usually, a pearl is added to the centre of the ribbon. 5. On another issue of `wealth' as opposed to protection:- For a north facing entrance, it is particularly auspicious to use the two tiger statues (white or gold). As metal is auspicious for this sector. Thus metal, helps water to grow. Thus an auspicious combinatio…

  11. Dear Fenger, 1. The design of a company logo is based on the Five Elements concept. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm 2. Number of colors for the logo: Ideally, based on the Five elements concept, the company logo should have three colors. This applies to the company signage, also Here, three means progress. While two (colors) represents stagnation 3. Often, if the business is in an industry; then the company logo should preferably be designed to suit the industry. But often, it started off by designing a logo that suits the "person" or partnership. 4. For example, when you mentioned that you are an earth element: one has to be s…

  12. 1. Please note that BOTH Eight House (Eight Mansions or East/West Group) and Flying star Feng Shui belong to the Compass School of Feng Shui. 2. In a very recent reply, I had mentioned that : 2.1 we human beings have a birthday. 2.2 a home also has it's birthday. 3. You are "arguing" on the basis of what suits your birth-chart and imposing this to a home. 4. Instead, of "arguing" about how you can impose your "will" of Feng Shui on the home, think about this: We humans have to harmonise with our environment, FIRST! 5. Thus, the clue is that a home has it's own birth chart. This would depend on where is your proposed facing and sitting directions. 6. Little things l…

Dear Wendy, Apologise for the late response, please see below:- Based on Eight House theories, there is very little change or fixes that you can apply. The only thing which I can suggest is that if you are staying in your bad locations sector, what you can do to minimize it is to make sure that you sleep facing your good sectors, that way, you can reduce the influences. Well, you cannot force someone to believe something. Just make "reasonable" changes especially those with good reasons. You know many Feng Shui advices are normally very environmentally friendly. Well, I guess that is a growing up phase which is cannot be explained by Feng Shui. So long as…

Dear Anon, Appreciate if you can elaborate more of why you would want to find out about the element of red coral. Usually, these are considered part and parcel of the contents of a fish tank and should not be an "issue" unless, they have an unusual undefined shape. (Or if they occupy more than 33.3 percent of the floor area (or the volume of the location). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Glyn, Please read below:- Well, 8 is weak earth, crystal is water. If you look at water destroying 8 wealth, it is is good if you are a weak water wanting to enhance your wealth. However, if you look at it that 8 being an auspicious star water actually destroys the good star so it is not that a good cure. Rather an earthly type object would be better in terms of Flying star activation. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi Anon, No. It is very different from 8 aspiration theory or 8 associate direction theory and even 8 house theory. 8 aspiration uses only the bagua without relating it to a person's date of birth. Thus, it is considered static. And is normally practised by BTB practitioners. Even for 8 house, there is a use of the year of birth. to relate to the 8 trigrams. However, this is limited to an yearly accuracy only. For ba zi feng shui, you need to know:- 1. The full date of birth (day, month, year and hour of birth if possible). 2. Your true Feng Shui element. Only then can you deduce the personal directions using ba zi feng shui. However, you will have 24 directions inst…

The story about the Five Coloured Paper used in Qing Ming: In ancient China, there was once an Emperor who took over the throne. After he took over the throne, he visited the location where his father was buried. Legend was that he looked everywhere but could not find the tomb. He nearly gave up until, one of his loyal aids; asked him to throw the `five coloured paper' (which can also be written on). He threw the `five coloured paper' and one of them was lodged in the grass field. True enough, it was his father's tomb. Hence, it was said that from that day onwards, Chinese besides giving offering also placed colourful paper (5 types of colours) and insert them around th…

In my opinion, an airline pilot has to do with earth element as earth element is related to transportation. And a plan literally is a transport be it transport of passengers and/or cargo. Thus airlines are typically in the area of "transport". Although, another way of looking is that these transports are mostly "metallic". Thus the career element is earth, but surrounded with "metal".

    1. Frankly, many or all the objects carried or to be carried are modern commercial products. These products should first and foremost be treated as mere decorative pieces. Much like the trinkets or items carried. 2. Even in traditional China, no one carries specific "tools" to ward off these issues. Frankly, it is all in the mind. As good as carrying a rabbit's foot. 3. Anyway, what you had mentioned dwell more into human factors - psychology, feeling good, security blanket type of stuff! Psuedo effect. Just like given a cup of water and a dummy drug made purely of sugar. 4. Perhaps, if you have the time and energy, go deeper into the study of proper Feng Shui and Feng…

  22. Hi Master Lee, We'd recently been recommended a FengShui Master (from China) to do an analysis on our house and as the analysis was done in Chinese, while most of my pre-reading of FengShui was in English, I have some doubts/questions that I am still puzzled with and I hope that you can help clear my mind. The analysis was done, assuming, using 8 Mansion method as what the master did was measuring the Centre-point of our house and then getting the location/direction of our maindoor, and each and every rooms. He wasn't into Flying Star. The master did not use any Gua #, just telling us that we falls under which Group, what Element. #1 - Both my husband and me are Gua #2, w…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Priority should be given to the Water and Mountain stars. 2. If I read you correctly; when you mention "sitting" star; I believe you are refering to the base star or some call it the palace star. 3. Well, it is preferred to look more closely at the both the Water and Mountain stars vs just only the "sitting" star(s).

Dear Fran?oise, 1. It is never wise to use Gua number to guage compatibility. 2. The biggest obvious reason is that `statistical' nightmare considering that between a pair or couple: such a compatibility is 50-50 percent chance. 3. Since, all of us belong to either East or West group. And majority of the time: it will end up either being " compatible e.g. East with East group or the other 50 percent of the time East with West group. 4. In the professional Ba Zi analysis; a better method is to look at compatibility in relation to ba zi. For example, Husband is a weak fire person. And wife is a strong water person. In such a situation, often, the dominant party is the wife.…

No offence, please. If qi can be clearly defined as splitting between an invisible line along a bed; this means also that "pigs can fly". Fortunately, you are (partially) correct to look at the worst and think of the bad numbers. However, as I had previously mentioned; if one were to apply Flying Star Feng Shui it is like an engineer or a technician using smoke to look at how an object behaves in a wind tunnel environment. (Again not exactly the same but...) One has to see where are the openings especially of importance are such things as the window(s) and even the room door. For example, the split personality bed and 5 1 2 lies close to the corner furthest away from the…
