There is no dead end on the other 2 roads. Is this a problem as the block is considered a dead end? Appreciate your respond. Is it okay. Generally, the reason why toilet next to the main door is the more major concern are two factors:- 1. The toilet bowl is where largest amount of waste and water leaks out of the house. 2. The toilet is also dirty and tends to have bad smell. So logically, if it is near your main door, even when guest enter into the house they will have to pass by the toilet, which isn't really that nice smell nor good. So imagine Qi enter into the house, the first thing is it is dirtied by…

  7. Dear FS Master, Thank you for the reply but I came across this situation where on the 11th floor balcony reading show 255-W1 but on the 10th floor balcony reading show 240-SW3. Is there such a possibility or it is because of electronicmagnetic field interference the compass needle. On the 10th floor when I stand in centre of the balcony (rectangular in size) with the compass 4-6 feet away from my body it's show 240-SW3 but when I take one step back it show 253-W1. I'm puzzle at this instance. May I know is there a step/guide in taking compass reading at the balcony. Appreciate your kind advice. Thank you

Hi, I think it's because bedrooms are enclosed by walls which are like mountains. So mountain dragons are considered automatically activated in bedrooms.

  9. Hi, Please read below:- Instead, you should make use of the directional elements and the seasonal directions found in the pillars for each 10-year luck pillars or annual luck pillars. They will be a little more related and more accurate. But in any case, direction of flight is just a one area you should look at, only thing is take note when you heading a certain direction for a major event or task otherwise, not really that important. Most important that you are in balance with your elements. That should bring you out of harms way. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, Bats are considered very auspicious for the Chinese. This link shows many pictures of bat graphics:- http://cgi.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=BAT&cat=all&bool=and&x=5&y=14 Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: I have moved to this place in July. Are bats meant to be good symbol for fungshui?

  11. From a Feng Shui perspective; there are quite alot of considerations. But, some means that you must have knowledge of things like: the breadwinner: East or West group? etc... Most of the time, in general; the first consideration is how one feels when first entering the home and/or if one really likes the home; try to bring along the whole family and see how they feel about the home. You wrote: Must the main door be facing North, entrance to the unit must be bright, the distance of opposite block cannot be too near, etc? As I mentioned, above, you may have to do some homework to find out whether you are an East group person : favourable North, South, East or SE. While a We…

Dear Jason, Technically speaking the main influence will be based on the Eight House or East/West Group person's best direction. You can place a display item i.e. moderately. Ideally, it should be on the person rather than the location. Do watch out what you are placing on your table i.e. avoid poision arrows e.g. sharp edges pointed towards you. Another important point is the " overriding " consideration of the Four Symbolic Animals concept where your table should be against a solid object e.g. a wall. The back of the table should not be a glass panel or window. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, One cannot simply apply the Dragon and Tiger in the way you have mentioned. What I mean is that if you are relating to the objects: be it a picture, painting, statue of a dragon or tiger, one cannot say that say the picture of the dragon has to be at the left side while the tiger is on the right side. Firstly, one should not display such objects especially in a bedroom. One can still display the objects under the following conditions: 1. Ideally, the dragon can be displayed but for a purpose: a. It has to be a four claw or less dragon. b. It can be displayed facing a door. c. It can be displayed looking out of a window facing a poison arrow. Especially if the p…

Hi, Cecil. Thank you for your answer. I believe, though, that the way I described the screen was ambiguous. I meant hat the vertices of the panels of the screen were pointing at the dingin table where we sit. Do you see what I mean? \/\/\/\/\screen ____ |____|table I also wanted to ask you: sometimes, blue is said to be wood and sometimes, water. Sometimes, brown is said to be wood and toerhs earth. Which is it? I read that water fourntians in the center of a home can be harmful becasue it drains away qi. SI this true? My final question: There's a building in Hong kong that sits on a hill and has a big square hole through the center of it. It looks like this from the front…

Dear Lee Seng, Frankly, it is better if you have simple sketch rather than all descriptive words to eliminate mis-interpretation and the need to aborb too many lines. Futhermore, a picture, tells a thousand words. Generally, for a kitchen located at the South compass direction of a home, here, the stove can face the fridge. Since south has the element of fire. But if the kitchen is at the North compass direction, or NE direction, than preferably, the stove should not "see" the fridge. Please see below:- This is OK. For family's health, it is often arranged to suit the ba zi of the wife. This two can share the same wall but avoid having the fridge right in th…

Some Feng Shui is always based on commonsense or "cowsense". == Extract of past forum posting == For example, on the statement of "building a wall at the back to prevent qi from escaping ". In a commonsense approach, if we look at this from a wider picture, this seems a very good point. Not so much of the view that 'qi could escape" but rather, - once in a while, sometimes we read of landslides. Sometimes, even the best homes build on a stable foundation uphill, could not stand the force of gravity. Especially an unfortunate very heavy downpour (perhaps of several days) plus a weaked reinforcement. == End == Unfortunately, in this recent case of Christchurch, New Zeal…

    1. There is no precedence in the past with regards to the dimensions of a namecard. However, you can check out this past forum message:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=12&mid=19753&new= 2. Under this url link, you can determine your element and strength; after checking out your best or favourable elements; use the information to design a logo suitable to yourself plus the colours. http://talk.geomancy.net 3. However, since it follows a curve (but not wavy) then the closest resemblance is in my opinion to the metal element (…

In my opinion; if one is planning to D.I.Y. Feng Shui; often no two situations or home / apartment are similar. This involves: Understanding resources; prepare various reports and analyse them. In fact, no site can ever spoon-feed any-one again in a D.I.Y. environment.

Dear Anon, Frankly, the only acceptable cure is to replace the tomb shaped head board. (Unless, one can change it ourselves e.g. cut it into another `shape'. It is best to have a head board for the bed but this is not necessary provided, the "head" of the bed rests against a solid wall. Here, it should be a full wall towards the ceiling rather than placing the bed against a window. On another topic, last few days, I went to a few sites of new housing development. I will share with everyone, the various layout plans that I got and review some of them this week. This is to apologise for the slight absence for the last few days. Warmest Regards, Cecil
