Hi, Again, sorry, I have not read these two books. This is because, I am very selective on reading " Feng Shui books written in English ". In my opinion, after having read one, you most likely do not read anymore because either some of them are BTB or talks about the Shapes and Form. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, There is a graphics of an upside down FU at this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/on/destiny.htm Chinese usually hang an upside down FU symbol on their doors for luck! As for FOOK, this word `translated' in " English " and not the true Romanised form is too generalised to know what the word is. So unable to comment further. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  3. Hi, In my country, we are not accustomed to keeping python, spiders and other snakes as pets. However, it would depend on the custom of a locality or country. Normally, such animals are not kept in a bedroom. There is no written document in the past on the above so looks like it is `new territory'. Overall, one can still apply the Yin and Yang concept and classify such animals and relate it to Yin and Yang. From the looks of the creatures, they are in my opinion generally considered Yang insects and reptiles. Here, one should have a balance between Yin and Yang. In the bedroom, again depending on who is sleeping there i.e. if it is a child, a more Yang environment is acc…

  4. Started by mickeymouse,

Dear Wendy, Apologise for the late response, please see below:- Based on Eight House theories, there is very little change or fixes that you can apply. The only thing which I can suggest is that if you are staying in your bad locations sector, what you can do to minimize it is to make sure that you sleep facing your good sectors, that way, you can reduce the influences. Well, you cannot force someone to believe something. Just make "reasonable" changes especially those with good reasons. You know many Feng Shui advices are normally very environmentally friendly. Well, I guess that is a growing up phase which is cannot be explained by Feng Shui. So long as…

Dear Hanan, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Friday, July 16, 1999 7:38 AM Subject: i need some help in my directions If you have a compass, you can find the exact direction of your toilet (mainly the toilet bowl). Where best it should not preferably at exact Compass directions e.g. 0 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 135 degrees, 180 degrees, 225 degrees, 270 degrees, 315 degrees. This is because most likely if a toilet is at these locations, it may fall in one of the auspicious sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  7. Hi, It is acceptable to have a coin in the mouth and this signifies a " close mouth. " As for the dragon figurine(s):- 1. The Dragon is considered the most Yang of all animals. 2. If one's main door falls under an inauspicious sector of the Eight House one can still use a pair of Dragons (one is still ok) aimed at the main door). 3. Where possible avoid using a Five Claw dragon as it is too yang for the home. It is best to use a four claw dragon. 4. So far, a dragon with an open mouth is acceptable. In fact most of the dragons have open mouth for them to `shoot' fire. Contrast this is a hungry tiger figurine which is inauspicious. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Marissa, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, July 19, 1999 1:44 AM Subject: bedroom colors There are three ways to go about doing the colour schemes:- 1. If unsure, use a neutral colour like white for the room. 2. The most accurate way is to:- Step 1: Look at the Flying Star Chart of the House. For example, if there is a Five Yellow or a bad 5 star at a location, it is best to avoid earth colours like yellow. If not, this will enhance the earth colour. Step 2: Your pillars element and its strength is important. For example, if you are a weak Fire person, you can …

  10. Started by Muthu,

Dear Dr Muthu, In practice, usually when a next door neighour has a main door that faces each other; one neighbour may place a Ba Gua (Pa Kua) concave mirror above the door. In such a situation, the neighbour has no choice but to use a convex mirror to conteract the concave mirror. The Ba Gua mirror depends on the thinking or mindset and the use varies with " different people ":- 1. Some practioners or practioners who combine Feng Shui with religion may go all out to advise each and every household they come in contact with to place a Ba Gua mirror above their house even if there is no sha qi or poision arrow. These group believe that by placing the Ba Gua mirror above th…

  12. Started by fufu_88_99,

Hi, Here, you must note that there is a `Ranking' or `Priority' i.e. it is more important to be at a good sector of influence rather than face a good direction. For example, if you are constantly sleeping at one of your auspicious/good sectors, this is considered good. It would be better if you can sleep in a auspicious/good sector and also face a good direction. Contrast this to sleeping in an inauspicious sector but facing your good direction. It will not do much good here. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  13. Dear Ber, In general, it is OK to plant a few pot of plants. For plants that flower, after you place the plant do " monitor " the plant to see if it flowers. If it does, generally, this is auspicious. Potted plants are quite safe:- 1. If you do not have many but a few e.g. two or three is acceptable. 2. In a pot, they cannot grow `wildy' or grow too large. This is good. 3. Bamboo plants are acceptable also. Again in a very general sense, if you have a few pot of plants placed moderately, this is OK. 4. Do not plant them directly `cutting' the main entrance door is fine. Placing them around the house is OK. At the West, avoid large trees or untrimmed tree…

  15. Started by eyreka,

Dear Erika, In my opinion, I consider this more an `environmental issue'. Perhaps, you may have to " discuss " with your neighour whether it is possible to `redirect' this air e.g. using a funnel away from your home. If not, maybe your local authories can help. Overall, this is `new' to Feng Shui i.e. the modern invention of an exhaust fan, but it is generally inauspicious (bad Qi) and you should try to resolve it. 16. Started by lnin,

Dear Lisa, Frankly, this figurine is " remotely related " to Feng Shui. Under Chinese belief, yes, it should face `into' the house where one can accumulate luck. As for the placement, in general, place it at a location you personally feel comfortable with. On the use of the Ba Gua mirrors: In my personal opinion it is common for Chinese households to place the Ba Gua mirrors above their main door to `ward off evil'. 18. Started by pikkie,

Dear Toni, Why don't you do a full consultation for your boss office. That way you can activate the mountain star and find a more auspicious sector for him to sit. Since he has given you the permission to change the door direction. Because if you change the door direction the flying star will change too. So I think you should focus on the whole picture instead of focusing on the stopping the Qi from rushing down. May be after doing flying star report you might not need to change the door location. So my suggestion will be to do a flying star report before spending money on changing the door direction.

Hi, It is ok to have marble on the floor. Murals for decoration are fine. Provided it is not a water scenery covering the entire mural or of `hungry', prowling animals. It is quite uncommon in most regions to have murals on the ceiling. Frankly it is also new to me so at this point unable to comment further. Warmest Regards, CEcil

Dear Viviana, Hope you can elaborate what you mean by "carrier zone." Are you refering to " Career ". Presently, there is no known effective cures for a staircase at the centre of the house. You may consider:- 1. One or two potted plants at the ground level. 2. This is optional and you may need to monitor but one can place a mirror a the staircase landing. (This is a traditional `cure'). Warmest Regards, Cecil

  21. Hi, This is not a real issue because under the Eight House Theory, one aspect is that it is advantages or good to have the `kitchen' location where the spouse or " woman " of the house have the good intangible force in that sector despite whether there is a oven or a microwave in the location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  23. Started by jasonct,

Dear Jason, Technically speaking the main influence will be based on the Eight House or East/West Group person's best direction. You can place a display item i.e. moderately. Ideally, it should be on the person rather than the location. Do watch out what you are placing on your table i.e. avoid poision arrows e.g. sharp edges pointed towards you. Another important point is the " overriding " consideration of the Four Symbolic Animals concept where your table should be against a solid object e.g. a wall. The back of the table should not be a glass panel or window. Warmest Regards, Cecil
