Dear Anon, Anon wrote: My bedroom is located in the NorthWest-West area of my house. My bed is in the perfect spot within the bedroom, but once you open the bedroom door it faces a toilet door. Generally, anything that faces the toilet door isn't auspicious. Especially, if you can see the toilet bowl when the toilet door is opened. There are usually only two ways to solve it:- 1. The most practical, is try to keep the toilet door closed. Also, keeping the toilet seat cover down when not in used is also a good open. …

No matter how, just to take note that even for a Period 7 home, under Period 8, a period 7 home's chart would already lose some of its energy epecially if these were once auspicious under Period 7 e.g. double 7's etc... Since your layout is like it is, if you really need to use the stove, there is frankly not much choice unless one has a wet or dry kitchen or could bear buying a simple burner stove etc.. to be placed at another identified location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wasis, 1. Yes, the land, it is very vital to `control' water below us. 2. This is why, often a pagado was built along water channels below ground to try and neutralise it. 3. It is said that wells contain `spirts' and we have to control it. 4. We have to look at Feng Shui from may facets and angles. 5. In many fields, there are their specialisations. In Feng Shui also, many of us have our specific specialisation - that represents our location. 6. For example, in a vast relatively undeveloped regions, most of the Feng Shui work is related to the land, the `water' on this land such as wells and underground water movements. 7. In built-up regions, we see more double-tri…

Dear Anon, 1. Yes, it is preferred that the bedroom door is closed. 2. A plant may not be appropriate especially if the staircase is not large but just nice for one or two persons to walk past. 3. You can also try to use the Eight House chart to see if you can plan your bedroom i.e. to orientate your bed-head and work/study to a good facing direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil Anonymous wrote: Dear Master, My element is strong metal and my bedroom is located on the east. I've looked around on the forum and found out that having a bedroom facing the top of the staircase is not favourable. From what I understand, stairs facing theentrance door is unfavourable because itma…

These are some of the considerations: 1. Even under the traditional Chinese zodiac sign; although Dog and rabbit are considered a good match, however, over time; it can be considered as a "dull match":- http://www.lovesigns.net/horoscope/areference/crbdo.htm 2. Based purely on the Chinese zodiac, most likely the "spark" or "romance" between the pair is.... 3. However, in modern times; there are other levels of considerations:- 3.1. Earth Luck or Feng Shui (involves things like plotting a flying star chart and disarming stars like #3 etc..) 3.2. Human or man luck factors: this includes your boss's current mindset; or sometimes your boss may have family problems or other pe…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My bedroom is situated over the garage. This is more a common sense reasoning. It is often considered inauspicious, because usually the garage where the car is kept. As you know the car will have petrol, then when you do work, sometimes you keep the oil or flamable products in the garage. Soshould there be a fire, the bedroomif located on top will be the firsttobe affected. This is similiar to the kitchen. However, what is the probability of a fire starting in the garage, then compared to the kitchen. So this is not really as bad or as inauspicious. A pratical solution would just to install smoke detectors or sprinklers for safety. Anonymous …

Thank you so much for your answer, so it seems that it would not be so harmless if I do make the fountain here, but when I am standing inside looking out (east), this fountain would actually be to my left hand side in the NE corner, what would be the implications now. Thanks again , Maria

1. To help you better understand; there are three kinds of luck. 2. Under the Chinese system; it can be coined as "The Holy Trinity of Luck". 3. What is the Holy Trinity of Luck? 4. In the Chinese system; it consists of: a. Heaven Luck = born with. b. Earth Luck = Feng Shui of your home & (also time spent) in the office c. Human or Man Luck = family relationship + support + bonding. 5. As you can see above; each of the above only contributes 33.3333% each to one's luck. 6. Frankly, so far; very few persons check their ba zi before purchasing a home. 7. In fact as mentioned; above buying a home as falls under the term "Earth Luck". 8. We can also say that Earth Luck wh…

Dear Elena, Yes, there is a recorded study known as something like "bubology" (sorry my spelling is wrong). This is a study in Germany where it was found that there is high correlation of cancer with beds above a sewerage pipe-line. Feng Shui is much about this invisible "qi" or water course such as a sewerage pipe which could emit harmful "vapours". It looks like it is difficult to relocate your bed. But are you sure that the sewerage pipe runs directly... or anyother better placement of the bed. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. This can be "explained" from a "Commonsense Approach" to Feng Shui. 2. Why is it that many Feng Shui practitioners say that a toilet or near to a toilet is no good? In the past, many Chinese homes do not have a toilet in the home, the toilet is a distance away from the home. 3. I have mentioned this many times: 3.1 One day, while driving along a highway, there was this radio feature, where this fella, says that where-ever one place one's toothbrush in the toilet, there sure to be "germs" on it. This is especially true, if we flush the toilet (bowl) and the fine mists shoots out all over the place. 3.2 And his solution? Buy his disinfection tablets much like those…

Usually, the two main components are looked at 6MS vs 9WS. 6 being Strong Metal and 9 being Strong Fire. Under the Five elements concept: http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm Under the destructive element or rather in this case, it should be known as "wealth creation": Fire melts metal to create wealth. As one school of thought also says: 3BS represents = Strong Wood; Wood supports fire, which melts Metal. It is acceptable to have YELLOW so that the entire "equation becomes a flow" where: Wood supports Fire, Fire supports Earth; and Earth supports Metal Here, Wood = 3BS; Fire = 9WS; Earth = Yellow and finally Metal = 6MS. The best or optimum flow is to add "wat…

Dear LB, Here are the key points to consider: 1. The burial site should not be located in an area associated with massacre or other horrific events, such as a battlefield. 2. I am aware of numerous successful businesses that are situated near burial sites, despite the warnings that it is inauspicious to be in proximity to such locations. For instance, Tangs Hotel (now renamed) at the intersection of Scotts and Orchard Road in Singapore was once facing a burial site. It was believed that the land was unfavorable, yet this intersection has now become a highly sought-after tourist destination. 3. In land-scarce Singapore, many government housing estates h…

Dear Hanan, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Friday, July 16, 1999 7:38 AM Subject: i need some help in my directions If you have a compass, you can find the exact direction of your toilet (mainly the toilet bowl). Where best it should not preferably at exact Compass directions e.g. 0 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 135 degrees, 180 degrees, 225 degrees, 270 degrees, 315 degrees. This is because most likely if a toilet is at these locations, it may fall in one of the auspicious sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Usually Christmas Trees are displayed for a short duration before and after 25 December. This is not a problem and the lightnings and many do place an Angel on top of the tree. The flashing lights do add to increase Yang Qi and it is a "welcome" change. Once the festivities are over, it is usually removed and not a permanent "fixture". Similarly, some Chinese homes or shops have the equivalent of placing a Red piece of cloth with auspicious wordings above their main door during Chinese Lunar New Year. Often many take them out soon after. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Yes, the 2nd floor may affect the Feng Shui (below - ground floor) especially if the "two units" are not "identical in layout". For example, if a home is converted into a "duplex" or the layout of the above unit is not identical to the ground floor. 2. For example, we often find homes like a bungalow where things like the 2nd storey toilet may be just above our ground unit main entrance or sometimes it could be just above one's dining area. And for some Chinese who had placed an altar at the ground level; may also be affected if their altar is just directly below a toilet. 3. Otherwise, often, if both ground unit, 2nd storey etc.. share same layout pl…

Dear Joe, Gong Xi Fa Cai! (Mandarin) (Kong Si Huat Chai! - Hokkien) From a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui perspective: 1. Mountain with water painting =============================== If the painting has a "mountain, water image" e.g. a flowing water running down from a stream, then, often, some Chinese homes would place it next to the main door. Therefore, when one opens the main door, the painting e.g. on the side of the wall would allow "water" (symbolic) of wealth to flow into the home. But make sure that this type of painting is not placed on a wall facing a balcony or window. As wealth may inadvertenly flow out. 2. Purely Mountain painting (Or painting with birds flying…
