Dear Anon, These are three alternatives which can be used in combination:- 1. Where possible use trees. I am not sure whether it is feasible for the trees to be planted outside the house. 2. Door painted `red'. This is where Fire is used to destroy metal (cannon ball/cannon which is comprised on metal) resulting in wealth creation. Caution: I do not know the person's element and strength and direction the door is facing so, this is a very general statement). 3. Can hang the Ba Gua mirror above the door. Other good alternatives:- 4. Tilting the main entrance door to one of the auspicious locations for the owner. (Strongly recommended) 5. Or use a convex door to deflect sha…

Dear Anon, For the Eight House, this is simple. You superimpose the individual's template on to the exact compass directions on both cases. For the Flying Star, it is best to consult a FS practioner to determine the location of the main entrance. I have not seen your exact layout plan so cannot give you a precise answer. However, if you are doing it on your own, you should consider the rectangle shape with the main entrance to determine the main entrance. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Glad that you enjoy the information on our website:- Gary Lim wrote: I have 1 question though. recently, i checked the Chinese Calender (Those with auspicious &inauspicious predictions) and it shows that 16th of december is a good day for shifting house. What you need to remember is that a typical chinese calendar DOES NOT personalise to any one person. So it is a general date that is supposed to be good or bad for everyone. In general, there are two ways to check an auspicious date:- 1. Just do a quick lookup in a Tung Shu or Chinese Alamac, and pick the date that is deemed aus…

  4. Dear Jason, Thanks for your description. Usually, since you are only staying in a room, try not to keep it cluttered with too many things. The main important layout would be your study table and your bed. Currently, as your room, I would imagine is small, you really cannot apply much of Feng Shui other than: 1. Under the Eight House theory, you an see if your study table is facing one of the auspicious directions. 2. Depending on the time of day and your study habits, you should either create a more Yang environment especially if you are studying late at night. One consideration is the fish tank. In many cases, a FS practioner would advise one not to place the fsh tank t…

  6. 1. OIC, it is a copper bowl (either medium or large). 2. Usually in general favourable dates to Chinese are either 15th day of each lunar month or 1st day of each lunar month if you do want to consider "activating" it. 3. Alternatively, you can check out your personal good dates for the next thirty days for free at the following URL:- dates.geomancy.net

    1. This reminds me of several encounters with Doctors (surgeons / GP or specialists). 2. Feng Shui is not an "exact" science and there are as many different practises as there are practitioners. 3. Many doctors (were used) to studying say the human body and many books e.g. Gray Anatomy etc.. detail the exact body structure, muscles, organs. And these are or have to be reproduced "exactly". 4. And several of these Doctors tried to "learn" Feng Shui. And, like yourself, found difficulty as such! Therefore, the consolation is that you are not alone!

    1. Under the Eight House (East/West Group) the best that can be done, here is:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Master_Bedroom:_Which_side_must_I_sleep_on 2. Otherwise, leave it. As under Eight House concept, there is very limited "cure" for this concept. A holistic approach to Feng Shui is different, it looks into this concept, plus Flying Star, plus Shapes and Forms of the bedroom.

You suggested strengthening weak wood with water and wood before taking advantage of my wealth element. Forgive me for sounding stupid, but even after I read the free things, I can't figure out what to do; especially with the Flying Star aspect. I am only more confused. What can I do to enhance these areas & where are these areas? P.S. My Feng Shui master, Dr. Weicherng Pan, passed away with stomach cancer a couple of weeks ago. He was just beginning to teach me before he passed on. So, I am a complete novice. And I am confused. So, bear with me, please.

  11. Frankly, Feng Shui is a holistic approach. And without going thru any Triage or trouble-shooting; it is not fair to pin-point the sink as the culprit (be it major or minor). As I had mentioned, previously:- 1. Shapes and Forms: not just the four walls of your home; the exterior does play an important and vital role in the Feng Shui of a home. 2. Often, a home has around more than 3 or 4 major leaks to cause a drain. 3. Kindergarten Feng Shui; In the past, such practices prevail. Where North = career etc... But this is 2011. Such practises should not be recurring. Thus unless a proper Triage or investigations is done; no one really knows the main cuase of your "leak"

Dear Spring, Traditional Chinese customs does not have a "Tai Sui" talisman i.e. they are not called Grand Duke nor Tai Sui talisman. However, there are some standard charms to be placed above doors (purpose? To ward off evil). The blessed charms are obtained usually from Taoist priests. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  15. These are the key ingredients:- 1. Understanding the significance of "the mouth" of the home; 2. Flying star is about "the most yang" Qi. 3. an experienced Geomancer often tries to observe a owner's habit 3.1 For example; for an apartment does the owner frequently leave the main door open or slam shut most of the time etc.... 4. Other possible measures include drawing up a few charts and if this is existing home, compare it with the past history of the home. There are more.... Go do a search ....

Star 1 is suppose to be a good star. If it is the water star, then often, opening the main door would be great. If it is a mountain star 1, then, it is also good but main door need not be opened (all the time) to activate it.

  20. Hi, More importantly, it is the sharp edge of a building that we should be more concerned with. If the mirrored building is parallel to the wall of your building, you should not be overly concerned. Even if you are `concerned', you can easily draw down your shade or blind. Under the Sha or poison arrow concept, if you do not see it, it no longer becomes a threat. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Anon, I believe it that is refering to the Flying Star concept. There is a description which is quite similiar, Up mountain and Down Mountain. So 7 Up could refer to Number 7 Star in the Up mountain or 7 Star in the Down mountain configuration. Up mountain and Down mountain simply refers to where the mountain is located ether at the front or back of the house depending on the frontage. Hope that helps. 1. For a fish tank with GOLD fish(es):- Traditionally, should have 7 gold plus one black. Total = 8 fishes. Or as a last resortwhen say one of the gold fish dies.. then it becomes6 gold plus one black. 2. In modern times (today) For koi fish(es), in general, many who can afford to rear such a fish, usually have a large (larger) pond. And it is acceptable to rear as many as one feel - comfortable with it. As 8 koi fishes can seem little in a averaged sized pool. 3. Based on a famous Chinese koi fish painting: this painting has a total of 9 plus 9 fishes (which symbolises 99 ) or longevity! When we count the fishes it is actually 9 + 9 = 18 fishes. 4. On a practical si…

Let me share with everyone ... 1. My original forum was a third party forum started around 1996. We (Geomancy.net) started our very own forum two years later. This is where we have maintained every single message since then. 2. During that time, there were few Traditional Feng Shui websites and many "Fung Shoey" websites catering to the Fixed Template Fung Shoey appeared nearly every day! 3. For example, if one checks back quite alot of forum messages, it has to do with discussion on Traditional Feng Shui vs Black Hat Sect (Lin Yun) and Fixed Template Feng Shui. 4. In the past, there were few resources dedicated to Traditional Feng Shui. And many western Feng Shui sit…

  25. Started by arisma,

Further to what I mentioned earlier, there are many ways of looking at the nos: 1. If we add up 1 + 2 + 4 = 7. Since we are in Period 7 (1983 to 2004), the combined nos 1, 2 & 4 which is 7 can be seen as good or auspicious for this period. However, the argument by others is that no. 7 should be one of the nos instead of adding it up. Thus perhaps a house no. 127 is better? 2. We can look at your house no. based on Yin and Yang concept: 2.1 Where Yin nos are considered even numbers while odd nos are considered Yang. Thus your house number is made up of: 1, 2, 4 which is 1 = Yang 2 = Yin 4 = Yin Where 1 is considered a starting number or symboically the beginning. Whe…
