Dear Anthea, You cannot compare two different method's analysis. This will be like comparing an apple to an orange. Even in just the feng shui / horoscope, if you use Eight House gua element, this also does not match the ba zi element. Why? Eight House calculates fromthe year of birth, while Ba Zi calculates from date and time of birth. However, even though both gives you different analysis, but you will know that certain analysis you use Eight House while certain analysis uses Ba Zi. Same with nearly all concepts. Pu Kua or any Divinity method is aconcept to attempt to predict what might happen or to help choices. This is entirely different from like Ba Zi which only…

    1. In my opinion, life is so short, and it is strongly recommended that all of us, spent a fruitful life than to worry unnecessarily. The more we worry unnecessarily, the more... our "Human / man " luck factors detoriate. 2. Furthermore, we do not want to end up with : the self-fullfilling prophecy or from auto-suggestion. 3. In general, for most people, (normal people) who have relatively no problems in their lives... should use this "Human or man luck" factor to one's advantage! Thus, will make one-self gloomy or affect family members with one's "prediction" or sensitivity of gloom!

  4. Dear Anon, Usually if one is constantly sick or having misfortunes, it is best to use the Flying Star in relation with the person's Ba Zhi to analyse the situation. The likelyhood of such a problem could be due to: 1. If, it is a landed property, the cause could be undergound water running under the house or other factors under the Shapes and Form School. (Reference on Dangers of Underground water: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/under.htm ) 2. Mostly likely Flying Star 2 and/or 5 is present e.g. in the bedroom or the main entrance door or in other locations one frequently is at. 3. Other inauspicious factors relating to the Four Symbolic Animals, where water positions are e.g…

Based purely on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, it is highly unusual " frontage". For example, most homes has an inverted "V" shape. And with the profile forms an "UP" arrow sign. First impressions count. The interior is another matter all together.

Hi, Here are some of the information on the Chinese Unicorn: 1. It is a mythological animal e.g. like the Dragon. 2. It is considered as a White Unicorn and under Feng Shui, it is interchangeable with the White Tiger and the White Bear. 3. The unicorn is considered a solidatory animal and is a peaceful animal. 4. The significance of the Unicorn is that it represents goodness, long life, filial piety and good civil administration. The unicorn is also revered in ancient Persia and Egypt and under Christianity. 5. Whenever a Unicorn appears it means that a sage is born. For example, the sage Emperor Fu Xi who was unanimously said to be the first to discover the River Map i.…

Dear Lien, The following are the most common objects on a pillar: 1. " Nothing " on top of it. 2. A pair of Lions on each side of the pillar 3. A pair of Fu-dogs on either side. 4. A pair of eagles with its wing ... wide open either flying or about to fly or protect its young. As I mentioned the above is not directly related to Feng Shui.. one can generally say that it has more to do with `decorating' the pillar. There is no distinct `facing' direction for these objects on the pillar. But closer to the "home" i.e. at the main entrance door area, I did mention that one should preferably take note of the material used on each side of the front door. For example if one is pl…

  9. Dear Aloysius, Aloysius Chia wrote: May I know if Alamac show Day 1 is good for all events (moving house, opening door, etc) but personal auspicious day show very inauspicious, which one should I follow. In general, the alamac is simply a forecast of good and bad days irregardless of who is using it for. ie it means it is a day that is generally good for everyone on this year to make use of. You still need to check whether your horoscope sign is compatible etc before one actually use it. Otherwise, it will still harm you (if the day clashes with you). The personal auspicious date is one that considers your personal ba zi. This means it considers whether your chart has an…

Hi, Usually, the most effective method is to use a side partition any where between the main entrance door and the study room. Alternatively, you should close one of the doors when opening the other. Some other `olden' methods include using bead curtains but this is I believe quite `outdated' in modern times. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- I can say that you are a "privilge" group because, for most part, many people are unable to sleep in the living room because they have a large family. And, often sleeping in the living room has less privacy for these people. As well as if one has large sized family members. Imagine, being trampled by them, also. In the case of sleeping on a flat bed, or on the floor, there are lots of people around the world who often sleep on such a surface. Even in Singapore, many (many) parents for fear of their young ones, falling off a bed, often, simply lay mattress on the floor. And sometimes, the entire family sleep together (cosy). So …

    1. Please note that in the past, a good site is always influenced by the dragon with gentle embrace of the tiger (landscape). 2. For a burial site; often it is best to be situated on the SOUTH-SIDE of a hill and the burial plot faces south. This the big picture is the "landscape" not just the plot and it's surroundings if that is what you are trying to figure out. The key here is the "big" picture of a land... 3. Thus, a good burial site is a hill where all the cemetry plot faces south.

  13. 1. If you are referring to a fixed template that is suppose to be super-imposed onto a layout plan; where e.g. North = career, SW = romance etc... then this is a modern invention. 2. This modern invention originated in Taiwan around the 1980's. 3. Traditional Feng Shui does not use such a model. 4. Best to expand your studies or research elsewhere.

Dear Vakta, Definitely not in a (sleeping) bedroom. Usually, it can either be placed in a "private" room such as the study or for the Chinese, it is quite common to be placed in the living room wall(s). But it is best not to place the photos facing the toilet, or share the toilet wall or face the dinning table. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yes, indeed I do agree fully with you that"the mouth of the apartment is most likely to be from the balcony / living room side". Especially since you mentioned that the windows along the corridor is always closed - this is a vital and important clue! Here, I believe, you got the fundamentals right with regards to the "mouth" of the house!

Dear Cecil, Thank you for having taken the time to answer my question. I believe that my kitchen design complies with "Commonsense FS" i.e. stove is not directly next to water or fridge nor infront. There is no window near stove ... no wind or cold air ... etc... I am worried however about the placement of the stove... which school of FS should be correct? should I place it NE/SE so it faces our bad sectors or should it be on E or N wall which are favourable directions for us? Anyway the kitchen has been ordered for NE/SE as it is a special corner unit (Had to have it designed especially!) Really I looked at it also from a decorative point of view so as to make it look ni…

My in laws have built a duplex for us and my husband's brother. We of course had no idea about the plan. It was my mother-in-law's design. I have read a book in feng shui but I just got more confused. Like how do i position the bagua with the main entrance. we have four gates, one for each garage and one each for people's gate entrance. we have shared lawn. it was my in law's decision not to put division in the garage lawn area so that my kids and my brother-in-law's kid would have a larger place to play on. The main door to the house is not aligned with the gate. it faces to the left on our side and mirror image for my brother-in-law's side. another concern is having 3 s…

Dear Simon, Further to what I had mentioned, in-fact everyday while reading new messages posted to this forum is indeed a new learning experience. Given that no two situation are often alike, it is always foolhardy to use only YES or NO? (Is it true? type of question). In fact, there are many well documented cases of great lawyers who, can argue or fight cases, some of them, which may seem hopeless (to defend). Yet, these people can turn around "the jury". Thus, I can only say "It depends". Often, there is no right or wrong answers. It depends on how, one puts up his or her argument or logic to support their case. In Singapore, not all buildings have equal heights. Thus, …

  23. Thank you for your quick response, and sorry that I confuse you. My house has mountain star #8 at the facing direction (instead of sitting direction), and water star #8 at the sitting direction (instead of facing direction). According to flying star, this house is "reverse". BR #5 is bedroom number 5 in the N (or NW?) sector of the house, same with BR number 2 in the E (or SE?) sector of the house, I don't know how to determine which sector these BRs belong to. Again, thank you for your help.
