Dear Anon, Please see below:- I can say that you are a "privilge" group because, for most part, many people are unable to sleep in the living room because they have a large family. And, often sleeping in the living room has less privacy for these people. As well as if one has large sized family members. Imagine, being trampled by them, also. In the case of sleeping on a flat bed, or on the floor, there are lots of people around the world who often sleep on such a surface. Even in Singapore, many (many) parents for fear of their young ones, falling off a bed, often, simply lay mattress on the floor. And sometimes, the entire family sleep together (cosy). So …

Quote: Lee, it has been several months now, Thanks Lee for your response. I think I located a leak- the hood above my stove top burners had a fan that gave the option of sucking cooking heat up and out of my kitchen (an exhaust). Now I do not use it (I am cautious while cooking not to have to use it). I still have my small metal windchime above my burners and small mirrors reflected the burners. My finances are going smoothly now. Again, thanks for your advice on looking for a leak. HPS Enoch

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I've used your free auspicious dates report to find a suitable date for moving house. I've attached the report. I'm thinking of 3 Apr 09 which is auspicious for both my husband (1st person) & me (2nd person). However, under the column for clashes, the report shows "yin-shen" & "shen-yin" for my husband. I'm not sure what this means & how does it affect the "auspiciousness" of this day. Appreciate your advice, thanks in advance. The column for clashes will usually show most of the minor clashes or harms that is found between the day and your chart. Usually any major clashes will appear in the main date column. Generally, what is i…

Dear Anon, Frankly, I believe that this is a relatively `difficult' question to answer: 1. There are relatively few experts (if any) on this subject. Many of the work are in books or literature. 2. Basically, the face can be classified under the Five elements. For example, a sharp face e.g sharp chin, the person can be considered having a `fire' face. A more squarish face represents e.g. the earth element etc... 3. Nowadays plastic surgery can alter the profile or shape of the face. One's face can change from a `fire' element to a more rounded or `metal' element face. 4. This area of `study' is less popular than Feng Shui and like palmistry, is not as popular as Feng Shui…

Dear PB, Although a kitchen has some influence over the house, the more scientific method is the use of the Flying Star Theory to check whether there are any imbalances in the house. I believe, the above is a more `fruitful' excerise. Additional analysis could include the Pillars of Destiny to analyse both parties and compare both parties and find out the binding element for both parties. It would be a better option then just simply looking at the kitchen itself. The above is my opinion. I will try to give more tips on the kitchen as soon as I can. You can find some of the `answers' on this, I believe by doing a search under this forum (Free Advice forum). Warmest Regar…

Dear Anon, Anon wrote: I was planning on getting a small dragon around my left wrist, around 1' in width. Is this good feng shui, bad, or neither? And is there a particular position (if possible) the dragon should be in order for it to be good feng shui? I mean so far tatoo has always been associated with bad things. So really, even though there isn't anything about feng shui and tattoo. It would seem more like it a tattoo will more likely bring about bad influence rather than good influence. So not likely to see what good luck it will bring. Anon wrote: And is there a particular position (if possible) the dragon…

1. Please note that the Eight House concept is very rigid i.e. Either you spent time at such and such a location or you don't. Or you try to avoid. It is like ebony and ivory - black and white - hot and cold. 2. This concept offers no cures for the above. 3. Basically, some clever people or those who have the money, actively search out good homes where the bedroom sectors all "fall into" place. For example, when constructing a new home, a wealth person, would engage a geomancer to make things right - the first time. 4. Thus many of us who does not have the luxury of having such expert advice can only apply Eight House Feng Shui based on "Nice-to" have situations. 5. …

Dear Gustavo, Please see below:- You should place the Ba Gua mirror above the main entrance door (directly at the centre). It is best to use a convex mirror to deflect sha qi (poison arrow). And not the concave mirror which is used to absorb good qi (for auspicious location). Alternatively, you can use a semi-circular carpet which radiates out of the house. If the toilet is at `true' compass points e.g. 0 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees etc... frankly nothing can be done here. Other than to close the toilet door when not in use, keep the location bright and dry. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In my opinion, if it is just a very short "disturbance" e.g. just one or two nails to a wall, is STILL OK (acceptable).

1. For the lay person, please use the simple to understand summary and the pre analysed information e.g. auspicious, inauspicious, average, mixed blessings etc. 2. For paid reports where we provide expert help; we use such information (footnotes) if necessary to rank or fine tune our recommendations for our clients. For free reports, as mentioned earlier, use the easy to understand information: for example, things like auspicious, average and even very inauspicious is clear-cut already. 3. Everything in the free report is similar to the paid report except no hourly timing analysis is given.

Hello Cecil: I didn't tell her I'm a FS practitioner and didn't go after any other info. It turned me off the way she bragged about being wealthy. Meanwhile, at the gathering, her husband's eye is wandering over every single woman. How wealthy can she really be if her husband behaves like that? Wealthy is when your husband only has eyes for you. LOL Maybe the practitioner should focus on helping them stay together. Just thought the center staircase story was interesting. Thank you.

1. Kua numbers are often not used to analyse a sector (good or bad). 2. If possible, the best method is to apply Compass School - Flying star method in your home. 3. For example, if say the fireplace location has a #3 (Quarrels, conflicts etc). then inadvertently, "fire" as in the "fire-place fire" can help to neutralise this bad star(s). You see, some homes where there is a #3 at certain sector, some FS practitioners may recommend a fire element at that specific sector. This fire element can be in the form of a '24 hours' light or somethign red within that sector. 4. Therefore, the key success is not to apply general statements like: north = career etc.. but to do it …

These are some considerations: 1. Both toilet directly above bed-head and kitchen below bed are considered as "commonsense" Feng Shui. 2. Why? 2.1. Fire rise-upwards. And there are concerns of a firebreaking out in the kitchen and fire rising towards the masterbedroom (bed area)= kinda of like being cooked. 2.2. What is worse if the piping is directly above the bed. If it does leak... think aboutwhat kind of juice will flow downwards towards the bed.

Hi, This is not a real issue because under the Eight House Theory, one aspect is that it is advantages or good to have the `kitchen' location where the spouse or " woman " of the house have the good intangible force in that sector despite whether there is a oven or a microwave in the location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Fraser, The consensus amongst Feng Shui practioners is that there is no changes to the practise of Feng Shui in both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. No one has thus far provided a valid and substantiated arguement to show that Feng Shui is practised differently in the Southern Hemisphere. Many who mentioned this may have a hidden agenda or some choose to "seek fame" in coming up with such an arguement. So far, these are not proven and majority to mentioned, I believe did not do any indept analysis. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Berth, Currently, it is difficult to imagine the loft you mentioned. Therefore, I can only provide feedback on certain aspects. 1. A straight staircase to the loft is not as desirable as one with a landing and turns. 2. The higher the vaulted ceiling, the better, but a 20 feet height is ideal. 3. Painting the ceiling like a sky, especially in blue, may result in problems, especially for the breadwinner. 4. If you are concerned about marriage, consider doing a Flying Star chart, especially if the inauspicious sector is in your bedroom. 5. Having a window in the house is good, and it's acceptable to place a curtain. Congratulations on…

Quote: 1)Do favourable directions same as area? Meaning my favourable direction is west. So best is bedroom at west of the house and bed position facing west? 1. Under the Eight House concept: It is considered"nice-to-have" for a west group person to have his bedroom located in the WEST. And it is equally "nice-to-have" (also) if his bed-head is facing west or NW or SW or NE. Thus it is good to have all these"favourable" factors. The"more the better". Quote: 2)West is my prosperity, so I put an aquarium with live fishes in my west area of the house. My main door is North. So, now i haveone good andone bad. Will this give a tie? or whichone gives more harm? 2. In m…

Hi, This " School " of Feng Shui believes that 5 hanging lights represents each of the Five Elements and can be placed a a location to represent each of the Five elements. It can be all of the same colour. Some went to extent of using five different coloured bulbs. Symbolically, in the day time one need not light up the bulbs. Warmest Regards, Cecil
