Usually, the most obvious concern of this home is the 'T'junction that you had mentioned. In particular, the most vuneral part of the home is to check whether the main entrance or windows are "exposed" to this 'T'junction. If the main enrnace door or windows are exposed towards the 'T'junction, a cluster of bushes may not be as effective. Usually, the most effective is a "solid" wall or fencing would be better or safer. So long as one does not as yet stay in the new home, anytime of the year is OK to start renovations. However, if one has already moved-in; best for this year to avoid renovations especially at the NW (Grand Duke location which is the main door) and Wes…

These are some considerations: 1. Some "Feng Shui" related issues have more to do with common sense then Feng Shui itself. 2. For example, 2 years ago, I remembered meeting a client who just bought a re-sale HDB flat. 3. We climbed the stairs and he went towards his unit. Apparently, his unit's fully shiny chrome grille gate. 3.1 He had a fright as thought he saw a figure - (himself) and he got a "shock". 4. What you mentioned, is similar. Sometimes, we suddenly see an image "in the home" after opening the door. The image could actually be one's mirror image. 5. Thus, majority of the time; this is one of the main "concern". For some, it is not an issue.

Please note that there are three kinds of luck: 1. Heaven Luck or born with 33.33 percent 2. Earth Luck or Feng Shui of the home and/or office 33.33 precent 3. Man or Human luck ; good family bonding etc... 33.33 percent Total marks = 100 percent Why must one rely solely on Heaven Luck alone? Do you know that many don't have fantastic Heaven Luck nor Earth luck but have good human luck factors? Another thing, in our modern society; many people (already) have lots of stress; and why create more "auto-suggestion" and "self-fullfilling prophecy?" Frankly, one day all of us my (disappear from this earth or turned into ashes) so... what is your worry?

  6. 1. These are some of the considerations:- 1.1. If one is a salaried worker and not involved in the planning or future planning of office sitting arrangement. There is relatively nothing much one can do, here. 1.2. If oen is a sole proprietor of the business; would normally or may have good earth luck by renting or owning a good premise(s) and a good sector (even if the facing direction) is not favourable. 2. Frankly, for the Eight House concept: it is nice-to-have working in a good sector (especially Flying star sector)and even equallynice-to-have seating facing a good direction. 3. Hi, Please see below:- A warm welcome:) An alternative method is use this site's Eight House at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm Another alternative is simply sign up for a free account at http://www.geomancy-online.com (Under this URL, you can simply input the relevant details as `asked' by the program and the Eight House Chart is generated online for you. You can save it or print it anytime. It is too superficial for me to answer your questions. To analyse a house, you can be as simplistic or as detailed as possible. Simple answers to whether an apartment is good for you are as follows: 1. Use the Shapes and Form School. If you are new, perhaps, you …

Dear Anon, For the Jacuzzi, please take note of the following:- 1. It must not be at the centre-point of the house. 2. One wall of the toilet should share the same wall as the exterior wall. This is to ensure that it cannot be at the centre of the house. 3. If the person's element is Strong Water or Weak Fire, best to avoid owning a jacuuzi. 4. The size of the jacuuzi plus the toilet area must not be equal to the size of the bedroom. The bedroom must be bigger. The jacuuzi must not exceed 33.33 percent of the entire `floor area' of the bedroom plus the toilet together with the jacuzzi. Warmest Regards, Cecl

Dear Choon Leng, 1. This is not Feng Shui. 2. Under numerology or the science of it; there are many varied interpretations. 3. And it is very diffcult to say for sure which numbers are considered `auspicious'. 4. Given the fact that many years back, in Singapore, I do remember telephone numbers with 4 or 5 digits. Nowadays, HP numbers are 8 digits etc... 5. In modern times, with today's HP, we do not really need to remember a family member or friend's telephone/hp number. For example, anyone sending us an SMS or call us, we can simply `copy' this information into our HP's address book. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janaki, From a Shapes and Form point of view under Feng Shui, yes, it is inauspicious to have a toilet door facing the main entrance. This is usually a fundamental flaw and difficult to correct. The only option to REDUCE the effect is to see if the toilet door can be `partitioned' away from the view of the main entrance. Try as we might, sometimes it is difficult to `cure' fundamental flaws in the house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  14. Frankly, there is no "Encyclopedia Britannica" for such situations. And there are so many varying opinions. For example, even during the Chinese 7th month; some have booked a house or a car during that month. While others are fearful to do so.

  15. Dear Anon, There is some truth in what was mentioned: 1. Under the Imperial Carpentry, most chairs should preferabley have armrests. 2. The profile of the lamp shade is important consideration in Feng Shui: /\ / \ || A lamp shade should preferably be `pointed' upwards. This stands for progress. Circle lamps are also considered good Qi generators i.e. light is considered generally good in Feng Shui. If one wants to use five light bulbs, it can be circular in shape and can either be made of crystal, glass or plastic. The material is not as important. Avoid lamp shades or lighting hanging in an upside down position: || \ / \/ This firstly looks like a poison arrow. Secondl…

  16. Dear Anon, For "fire-at-heaven's" gate, another remedy is the use of "earth" at the fire-gate-area. For example, earthenware or do add some pottery pieces at the location. Here, under the Five Elements concept: "Earth" element helps to draw or reduce the "Fire" element. Warmest Regards, Cecil Anonymous wrote: Hello -- Just bought my second house with, what I now beleive is fire at heaven's gate. Dear Anon, Please see below:- 1. Yes, I agree with you. There is indeed a controversy amongst Feng Shui practitioners on this matter. 2. Usually, in my opinion, it is best not to place a mirror based on the premise that if it ain't broken don't fix it. 3. From what I have observed, most often, it is the Cantonese dialect Feng Shui practitioners who use mirrors especially at the dining room. 4. The rationale why some Feng Shui practitioners advise not to use a mirror is because it also depends on the location of the kitchen. For example, if the kitchen is at the South of the house. South represents the Fire element. Here, you can understand that one should not further…

Dear Lia, 1. Yes, you have brought up a very good question. 2. However, the Key Success Factor here is to take The Five Elements Concept to a higher step. 3. Hint: It has to do more with the concept of Strong or Weak. 4. Drawing a parallel, in Ba Zi, one must ensure that one get one's element not only correct but also whether it is `strong' or `weak'. 5. Unfortunately, for Xuan Kong or Flying Star Theory, many of the bad earth belong to the Strong Element. 6. For example #2 and #5 are strong earth element. 7. When countering strong earth, one should where possible avoid wood element. 8. No doubt, wood is acceptable to destroy weak earth. But it is not a good solution to d…

  21. These are some considerations: 1. This East/West person is just the tip of the iceberg. 2. Thus there are even greater mass below the waterline. 3. For example: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and even Flying star. And yet, these are not considered as yet;how then can you prematurely claim or cry wolf. 4. Often, it takes three or more major leaks or imperfections to cause a calamity; and most or majority of homes are not a bad that you seem to thing. 5. 22. Dear Master Cecil, I would appreciate if you can do an analysis on the new BTO project - Compassvale Boardwalk (at Sengkang). We will be choosing our units and would love to consult your expertise on which direction we should choose (general feng shui of the location will do, not specifically to our 8 characters profile). We have shortlisted down to 2 units stack - Stack 49 , 03 and 05. Attached are the relevant documents of the project, hope to hear form you soon!

Dear Anon, In traditional Feng Shui practise: 1. The number of claws on the dragon is important. The `highest' order is a Five Claw Dragon. Usually, in a home one should not use more than a four claw dragon. 2. The Dragon is the most Yang of all the `animals'. The traditional advise is that a dragon should only be placed "looking out" of a house e.g. facing a main door entrance or through a window. Personally, I use a dragon in my house overlooking a sha qi. I will try to take a picture of it and a brief description and show in under the new conference for picture attachments when I have the time. 3. As a bedroom should be a yin location, it is advised not to place one i…
