Dear Constance, constance king wrote: hello, i would just want to know if someone with fire element, is it alright to have an aquarium ? thanks so much for all your helpful informations. If you are a weak fire, then water won't be good for you. So not advisable to have an aquarium if possible. If you are a strong fire, then water will help to destroy your excess fire element. Then, it is perfectly fine to have an aquarium. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hello! I recently read the book: Move your Stuff, Change your life, How to use Feng Shui to get love, money, respect, and happiness" by Karen Rauch Carter, and am excited to apply the principles that I learned in the book to my room. The problem I have is this: I have a large picture window on one wall, a closet on antoher wall that has a bathroom behind it, two small windows on another wall and that last wall is parallel to the door. I'm trying to find the best place to put my bed, tv, and computer. I also have a desk and three bookcases to put in the room too. I know the windows and the wall parallel to the door makes me putting the bed there to be a bad idea. Any…

Need advise on my current situation. I just bought a South(sector 1)house where the main door of the house is facing directly of my neighbours front porch which has a triangular roofline and a pillar. I've yet to move in. The road in between is about 40feet wide. Heard that putting up a BAGUA above the main door would help but is there any other way other than putting up a bagua or changing the position of the maindoor? Is the triangular roofline a serious threat to the owner of the house? PLEASE HELP.Thank you in advance.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I have one big question. I heard what it is dangerous for marriage to have a fish tank on the left side, if you stay facing the entrance door. But this is our South East side, which supposed to be good for Wealth. Sorry don't quite understand what you are trying to say. Fish tank on the left side of what? And what you mean stay facing the entrance door? I have my front door facing east. But my part of my stairs (half of it) is facing the front door.By the way the stairs is by the wall. And it has 14 steps up to the landing.I cannot do anything to fix the stairs. What feng shui tips can I apply? If the concern, is the main door facing the stairs, then the best way is to have a screen or partition to block the path of the main door and stairs. This is provided you have some space to have this partition which is the best solution for this problem. Anonymous wrote: I also have an …

Hi Master Robert, thank you for your explanation .. 1.. i'm living on the 16-level 2.. have no balcony, living room windows are from wall-to-wall (3m- wide), thus i think it doesmake sense to refer that as the 'facing' 3.. but beside the living room, is the bedroom 1, then bedroom 2 which both bedrooms also have the same windows facing as the living room and also almost the same width .. do i need to take that into consideration? 4.. possible to re-generate my PAID report? how much would it be to re-generate? if not convenient, kindly email to me .. thanks 5.. if the new facing is 'worst' off than the current report .. should i use the current facing instead?

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Dear Feng Shui Master, After a renovation of my office, I am sitting with my back facing a door. The door is directly behind me. But I am sitting outside the room which the room's door is directly facing my back. I read from a book that this is bad in feng shui. I could be betrayed, cheated, or stabbed in the back & good work luck is completely missing. And I feel that it is quite true as it really happens. I have been so unlucky at work after the renovation. What should I do & what things can I put on my desk to cure this matter? Thank you so much for your help! Yes, this is not a good position, because you can't see people that …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: What is the difference between Ba Zhi and Zi Wei Dou Shu types of reports? Ba Zi essentially, is using the 4 pillars in your chart made up of the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branches to chart out your luck and even some areas of fortune telling. It is good more for feng shui in understanding what is your heavenly given luck and some people use it to tell your fortune. Zi Wei Dou Shu is more Chinese Horoscope and Astrology which uses horoscope to chart out your chart. This analysis focus more on relationship analysis, characteristics type. Often deemed more for fun type of analysis. Just like every year the horoscope forecast tells you what kind…

Dear Terry, Terry Law wrote: Can we activate the water star 8 when the annual 5 yellow or 2 illness star is there? Yes, you can still activate the water star 8. Water star usually is activated with water. So water feature will activate the water star 8 making ie stronger. This star will actually harness and drain the annual star 5/2. You won't activate the star 2/5 unless you add fire or earth element influence in that sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

Dear Gi Soh, Gi Soh wrote: I am looking at a condo unit which is facing west and a summit. Feng Shui wise is it ok ? Generally, all west facing homes will faceafternoon sun which can make the unit warm every day. This in itself is a potential problem as if a person feels hot, the likelyhood of getting angry or even hard to focus. So even for those West group person, it is still not so advisable to choose a west facing house unless it is somehow shaded. As for facing a summit (of a hill?), if so whether or not it is good depends on where is the mountain star is located from the flying star analysis. You see a house will benefit from the facing (clear space) and moutain s…

Dear Bansari, Bansari shah wrote: We have same wooden beam in my kids room too. which one works better 1) bamboo flute or 2) wooden support. Thanks for your advice. Bansari Generally, these are the two common ways to cure the beam problem. Both are equally effective. So can't tell you which is better. However, from design point of view the two wooden support looks less like feng shui cure and can add some decorative effect. However, if you really want the most effective method would be to build a false ceiling. From feng shui point of view, if you can no longer see the threat it no longer becomes a problem. So really, the most effective is to build a false ceiling to co…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I realised that kitchen is not good to place at the north. Generally, if you look from it at a fundamental level. North=Water, so a kitchen in the North will be like Fire vs Water which clash. However, frankly, this is only one level of looking at it. I mean given that there are only 8 directions in any layout, at some point some layout will certainly have kitchen located in the North sector. So does it mean that everyone who has the kitchen at North will be doomed? Of course, not. This is because the overall houselayout vs the house flying star luck isequally important. Dear Constance King, constance king wrote: hello cecil, am wondering as weak water does it matter if i should wear yellow gold or white gold or rose gold as long as it is metal? Generally, in feng shui, we can define an item by the material or shape or colour. You see most items you can't run away from the material it is made from. So in your above case, all are metal material. Butut if you look at the colours, then you can add another level of five element analysis. For example, Yellow gold is more Earth, white gold is more Metal, rose gold is more pinkish is more Fire element. If you look at it from a pratical standpoint. White Gold will draw less attention as it …

A lot of terms used by other practitioner can be confusing especially when you come to facingsitting. This is because you have to also make sure that you are using the right orientation of the compass. Most will use the Chinese compass, which is South-North orientation which can add another level of confusion if you are not careful. However, our website standardize all the flying star/eight house chart based on a normal western compass. This means that if the chart …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In choosing chinese name, do we use the traditional strokes or simplified version? Can anyone tell me if there's any book or directory with list of chinese characters and the number of strokes? In the chinese name analysis, we use the traditional name stroke rather than the simplified name stroke. So if the character you are using is simplified, you need to first check if there is a traditional form. Then use the traditional form. The reference of name stroke is available as a reference in some of the chinese name books.Different chinese name books will give you different reference chart.
