In addition, many of the past messages had covered things like the industry can be e.g. metal element. While the job specification is another consideration. Dear Anon, This area has more to do with beliefs by some people or from advise provided by practitioners. The rationale for some people who do not view roosters is that: Roosters seems `picky' or combative. Quite often some get hold of two roosters to fight and wager on bets. And some consider the characteristics of roosters as `sharp' tongued. Thus, due to this symbolism, roosters (symbols) are considered not favourable in the home. As I mentioned, this area has more to do with beliefs than Feng Shui. Personally, I find placing a rooster figurine no harm. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, I am not sure if anyone have heard of the Show `Kung Fu' starring David Carradine (I hope I spent his name correctly). In this show, or a series of TV episodes, he is also called the `grass hopper'. In one episode, he had to use his arm to hold up the buring cauldron. When he did this, his left hand was burned with the profile of the dragon and his right arm the profile of a tiger. Usually, these `monks' wear a robe and the markings of the dragon and tiger are not shown. For a dragon ring, it is in my opinion a small object and secondly it usually does not point towards the person. Anyway, it does not really matter being a small object. Looking at it another…

Dear Elena, 1. You can also check out my write-up today: two parts: Part I & Part II : Facing direction of a home. 2.Under the above article, since your is a landed property, try to also determine the "Mouth-of-the-house" or generally where is the frontage of your home. 3. In your case, and based on your description, it would seem that your home facing direction could be the South as you had mentioned. 4. It does not matter if your front door or garage is at the north. 5. Often, especially for homes that suit your current description, and if there is a large lake, where the south side overlooks such a water feature or clear space then, there is even a clearer di…

    1. Usually, the most visual concern is that of the visible roof and spine of the church. Usually the spine is usually the christian cross signage. 2. Here, the most common issue is if one were to stand in the apartment and can see the pointed roof or the spine, then this could be a sha qi. 3. Sometimes, even the roof of the house next to the church or if it has a tv antennae pose a threat; not to say that only the church may pose a threat.

Dear Dragana, Yes, I do agree with you. It is not wise to convert it to a sewerage tank especially if it is at the front of the home even if it is underground. More importantly, it is also best not to have sewerage pipes running under "living areas" such as under the bed. One can view this article that I had written many years back on the dangers ...http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.htm In my opinion, keeping it as a water tank would definitely be a better choice Warmest Regards, Cecil

  10. Dear Reyla, Oh so sorry, what I meant was that the repainting should be done at one-go. This is symbolic of removing the roof of a home at one-go. Therefore, choose a date to start this process. For example, one can seek temporary shelter e.g. move-in with a relative or stay at a hotel for a few days or week; depending on the work required and contract with the painter; one need not worry how long it takes, here. Painting should take a reasonable time (more for your convenience). It does not mean here, that one must paint the ceiling a few times! But rather at one-go after 2004 lunar new year. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Based on a couple's birth details, is it possible to tell whether a particular year is a good year for them to purchase a new house, property? The ba zi can only tell you what luck you are supposed to enjoy in any particular time and period. This is often used to check whether it is a good date, good month, good year etc. So you can make use of it as a guide whether this is a good or bad year to own a property etc. However, purchasing a home is only one aspect. Finding a good hosue that fits the family and has good overall feng shui luck is more important. This is because the house luck can adversely influence your ba zi given luck. Thus, fi…

  13. Dear Niki, In my opinion, it is good to hear that your house has good Feng Shui in many areas. The door (especially bedroom door[s]) should not be moved unless they do not `adhere' to shapes and form Feng Shui. Although it would be nice to had an added bonus of having good `Eight house' fit for everyone; usually this may not be the case. The main consideration is still on the sitting of the bed based on good Shapes and Form techniques. If a house has excellent Feng Shui, it would give a significant leap (or quantum leap) in Feng Shui and would have added more than 50 percent or more `luck' towards the residents of the house. It is good to move in; (and if you are not goin…

Dear Deepa, Frankly, why not. Usually, if one constantly maintains the plants out of "love" for them, it is perfectly fine. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  16. Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, this is known as the `coffin' position. This is actually where a dead person was brought home into the home and his/her dead body would face a door. (Really to be carried away) when the funeral possession starts. This is not exactly an `exciting' location to be in. Warmest Regars, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Does colour of the floor tiles have any impact in FS? Caused apparently my boyfriend and i chose a glossy black floor tiles for the living/dining area and all our bedrooms. Colours plays a fairly big role in the Feng Shui. As it covers a big area of the room. So yes, it does have some impact. Black is generally Water element. So this will add water to the sector of the house. Also, dark colours will darken the room compared to light colours. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

These are some considerations: 1. No offence to the person posting this question. 2. My answer is: Only Singaporeans can think of such questions. 3. Perhaps, this is why we have our singlish: Kiasu and Kiasee. 4. Singaporeans, please read between the lines.. and I hope you are not that Kiasee, OK? P.S. a. The only other character that is close to Singaporean's K-su and K-see attitude is Rowan A. as Mr Bean in many of his delightful comedies... b. One fine day when I do retire from Geomancy; I will certainly add this question into one of my websites... be it http://kiasu.net Seems very appropriate.. content.. Cheers!

Would the bagua area that contains the location of his bathroom affect 1st floor's feng shui ? Thank you Yes, the toilet especially if it is located above will definately affect you. The most common reason is that what happen if the toilet leaks, your room below will be the first one affected by the sewage water dripping down etc. Secondly, the toilet is said to have the most dirty qi within the whole house, so of course having a toilet closeby especially above you. This is similiar to having the toilet lo…

  22. Dear Hoa Luong, In the sample, the compass direction pointing North. Here, if the facing direction is North, then take the orientation of North as the compass marking. Since the home is orientated North -- South, determine the facing direction by checking e.g. where is usually the main entrance or drive-up area. In your sample, the facing direction can only be either North, South or also East or west. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. More importantly; the year the home was stayed-in. Thus most likely, the TOP date. 2. Do take note that it is meant for a high-rise: flat/condo/apartment and not a landed property such as a terrace/semi-detached or a bungalow. Anonymous wrote: Just need to know when using the house number report, do we enter the TOP date as the year ? or the year the 99ys lease starts ?
