Dear Anon, Yes, the centrepoint is defined as the centre location of the house where one takes a reading of the house from that point to the main door. It is similar to the readings taken below:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm This is the centrepoint used to find out the main entrance direction of either the Flying Star or Eight House theory. Please see below:- As mentioned above. In my opinion, if you can use a `day' curtain i.e. that allows light to flow in but blocks out the view of the poison arrow - this would be a better choice. From my personal (past experience), some of the clients who had placed a water position at the centrepoint of the hous…

Dear Co Huynh, 1. If you are a weak metal person, the element that can give you a significant boost is earth. 2. Water element does not benefit you under Ba Zi. 3. Please note that water position in the wrong location of a house can affect one's marriage and even wealth. 4. Usually, it is best not to use water in the back of the house as most of the time it is inauspicious. 5. The most effective use of water is still at the frontage of the house or using Flying Star Feng Shui to detect metal positions:- 5.1 The most beneficial way to activate water dragon is to locate #7 (weak metal) and #6 (strong metal). Under the Five elements concept, metal supports water. This is a …

Dear Tracey, For homes that are built or had a major renovation under Period 8, do look out for water star #8. Since, water can be used (often in a landed property) to activate this water star - for wealth purposes. It would be even be excellent if #6 is present under this configuration. For example at a sector: water star is = #8 and base star is = #6 (big metal) With this two combination of 6, 8, water can be used to form a auspicious flow. However, under the Flying star chart one must be extra careful of a reverse in this position where: water star is not #8 but instead, mountain star is #8. And in the above equation; Mountain star = #8 base star = #6 this 8, 6 combi…

Dear Anon, 1. When we consider water, water in a fish tank is usually slower moving. 2. While a fountain, stirs up the water and faster moving. 3. There is no concrete measure as to how beneificial `qi' if any from a fountain or fish tank is. 4. But, based on Feng Shui concepts, because, water movement e.g. water flow, mixed with `air' is more vibrant and faster moving. 5. Based on the `faster' moving water, it is thus recommended that between having a fountain or a fish tank, a fountain would be considered having a higher potential of generating `qi' or stirring of the air, mixed with water. 6. When one talks about a fountain or even an artificial waterfall, it is not …

Dear Anon, 1. Essentially, Qi force cannot be examined with the naked eye. So far, no one could really map out or see the flow of `Sha' Qi from a slopping ceiling. It is not like a wind tunnel experiment etc... 2. I have ever come across, some innovative people in Hong Kong, who had created a Qi `detector '. Frankly, I have never tried it so cannot comment further. If anyone has come across it and tried it, do let us know. 3. One logic of having a screen or false ceiling is that it essentially distributes the `weight' or `force' (if I can call Sha Qi as a `force'). Similarly, perhaps it could work with water as in a fish tank because water is level and essentially, Qi may…

Dear Master Lee, Thank you again for your unending advice... I would like to thank you for the clarification regarding my house period. Now i'll be able to analyze thecharted numbers in every sector of my house. My house (as you have clarified) is in period 7 andsits on N2 and faces S2 172.5degress to 187.5degress. In NW sector is 6m, 8w, 4t and 9a. base onwhat i've readthe 8w is wealth number and it is the current/rulingnumber. Withthe numbers combination my analysis is this:6metal is the mountain and 8earth is the water. 4wood is the time and9fire is the annual. The 8w is being weaken by the 6m star. The inaspicious 4t star also burdens the 8w star whichmay cause inju…

Dear Anon, 1. Fish Tank is more of a `modern' "invention". More commonly in the past, we talk more of a pond. 2. Yes, if you have a water position, the advise is not to cover the top of the tank. As a fish tank lacks the `power' to generate a more `vibrant' Qi than say a fountain or waterfall, in my opinion, it does not matter anyway. 3. If one own a `landscaped' pond inside your house, you will notice that it is not only open, but even if you are as far away, locking the bedroom door, you may still hear the sound of water from the `artificial' waterfall. It is the sound and the open concept that is considered generating `vibrant' Qi as compared to a fish tank where the f…

Further to what I mentioned, Oops! I forgot: I strongly believe many house-husbands will not be so forgiving as all the great mums around! Most like, he could "accidentally, let loose these dogs, rabbits and other pets. And if the house-dad's do get too angry, these dogs may end up being shipped to Beijing, China to be served as dog meat, rabbit meat etc...! Frankly, in my opinion, if one is starting to rear fish, then, it is best not to go for three tanks at one go. Try out one and go from there, Warmest Regards, Cecil

Greeting Master, I am in great delimas in placing my hubby's 5 fish tanks in our small 4 room flat. I am totally new in FS but am a believer. Hubby intended to make it a 3 tier built-in against the wall on the left hand side(looking out from inside the house) of the house near the entrance. By rising the tanks almost closed up the ceiling and have them place on the left wall is that alright or have we created some misfits?? Your great advise are appreciated. Thank you. Mrs Koh

Dear Anon, 1. After reading your past message, looks like your husband is into fish rearing in a "big way" given that there is something like5 fish tanks in your 4 room apartment. 2. In such a situation, you may have to go on a "hobbist approach" vs looking at it from the compass school of Feng Shui e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui, which you perhaps, do not have any knowledge at all. For Flying Star Feng Shui, the best approach is that if you want to find out more, feel free to search further into the topic. As it would not be fair to go into it in this or other message. Since, such topics can easily be found if one - exercise their fingers hard enough. Given that this is a …

Just to share with forum readers. I recently shifted into my new condo apartment in July 1999. On shifting in, my career did not improve. In fact, took a nose-dive. I was by-passed for a promotion and my boss was snubbing me for circumstances beyond my control. I read a FS book that stated that having a fish tank in the north sector of the living room will improve one's career prospects. I didn't want to manage the hassles of a fish tank, so, I thought of using something more static. I decided to install tiles of fishes on my cabinet that was located in the north sector of the living room just to see if things improve. Surprise! Surprise! six months down the road, I have…

Dear Chee Kiong, Actually, the clue has to do with the "strength" of your element. For example, there is a difference between a "weak" fire person and a "strong" fire person. Under the Five elements concept; the idea is that if one is weak, one should increase one's element. While on the other hand if one is strong, one should try to decrease it. Here, in both instances, what we try to do is to become "balanced" i.e. a "balanced" fire element that is neither too weak or too strong. In your case, since you are a strong fire person, water is favourable to you as it will help to reduce the strong fire. The opposite is true for a weak fire person. Water will further help …

Dear Anon, For a strong metal person, the most favourable element is: Water (blue, black or gray). The next two favourable elements are Wood (green or brown) and Fire (red, pink or purple). For a strong wood person, the most favourable element is Fire (red, pink or purple) as fire element will help to exhaust wood. As fire element is increased, earth (yellow, cream or beige) can be used. Next best favourable element is metal, as metal inturn will help to exhaust earth. Actually, you can use the free comparison report at www.geomancy-online.com to determine these. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lynn, Yes, the productive cycle is often the easiest to understand. But for the destructive cycle, sometimes the term may be misleading. Actually, this cycle can also be considered as a "Wealth" cycle. For example: A strong water person: His best elements are : Wood, Fire andEarth. If one looks carefully at the destructive cycle: Water destroys Fire. Here, it simply means that Water is used to dowse fire to produce wealth. Thus, for a strong water person, his two best elements are: 1. Wood (green or brown) - most harmonious colour 2. Fire (red, purple or pink) - his wealth colour. For a weak water person: this is opposite: his best elements are: Metal and …

Dear Anon, "Five Yellows" is a common term used under Flying Star numerology or Luo Shou grid. Where #5 is known as the misfortune number. It is related to the five elements to the Earth element. As Earth element is represented by Yellow colour, therefore, some Flying Star FS practitioners call it " FIVE (5) Yellow ". Thus e.g. Wu Kwei or 5 ghosts etc.. are other terms and are no where close to nor `associated' with this number. Warmest Regards, Cecil
