Hi, If you are mentioning that the roof above your own home has a pointed roof, in this situation, it is not a poison arrow. It then becomes a poison arrow to the opposite house if it is on the same `level' and when it points towards the main door of the neighbour's house. I hope, I got your question correctly. Warmest Regards Cecil

Dear Anon, Applying Feng Shui is also very similar to taking an examination. For example, many of us can remember having to take say an examination that requires us to answer 4 questions out of 10 questions. Here, many of us would recall our teachers teaching us examination techniques. And the advise by our teacher is to try to attempt to answer all 4 questions instead of only 3. For example, in the past, how many of us do not allocate time for each question. Thus in a 2 hour paper, and if we need to answer 4 questions, this means that we should allocate 30 minutes for each question. How many of us do not do this and as a result, managed to answer only 3 questions and…

Sorry, you mean opposite each other.... even if they were 6 feet apartment? Where possible, even if they are 6 feet apartment where possible, the sink with it's water pipe (hose) should not directly face the stove (HOBS).

Dear Anon, 1. The reason why some FS Practitioners say to palce it in the good sector is so that when it rings, it is suppose to bring `good luck'. Unfortunately, there are others who have the view point that the `ringing' at a good sector `chase' away good luck. 2. Some on the other hand advise to place as what you had mentioned, West and NW because these are metal element sectors. To these practitioners, they `feel' that as the West and NW are metal element sectors, one should enhance the metal element with `rining' tones as to them the ringing tone is metal element. Similarly, to these FS practitioners wind chimes and even clocks with pendulum serves this purpose. 3. …

1. Further to what I mentioned earlier, it is always good to exercise moderation when applying Feng Shui. 2. It should not be a case where we turn our lives `upside' down trying to `fit' ourselves to meet FS standards. But rather, we should exercise moderation, when applying Feng Shui. 3. Many of us, read widely about the `Do's and Don'ts' of FS. For many people, they simply carry on with their daily lifes after applying some of the best FS practises. 4. If we take FS `too seriously' it results in only the equivalent of trying to do "interior decoration" to our home or control our lives. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Respected Sir, Thank you for your reply.I apologise for not being clear in my query. My question is that is there any significance of same level of flooring in all the sectors i.e it is harmful to have any sector higher floor level than other sectors &if this is the case at the back of the house where the main door is also located what are the remedies.Further if correcting beams in particular sectors with false ceiling has left these sectors with lower ceiling height as compared with areas without beams,it it harmful & what are the solution for this.

Dear Robert, Thank you for your reply. I think I did disturb the Grand Duke Jupiter while renovating as one portion of SW (240.0 TO 247.5) lie in that room which I renovated and the Grand Duke was there in 2004.Recently I have placed Pi Yao in the East facing West to appease the Duke after reading a lot of your advice forums. Does this solve the problem? As you have suggested, I have checked the 2/5 combination and it lies in the NW sector with 9 as the base star. Please suggest a remedy as I have had enough trouble after the beginning of period 8 especially after this renovation. Also one more question. My Gua no is eight. In period eight the misfortune star 5 lies in S…

I have a similart arrangement in the cubicle. The only difference is that the columns are ROUND. How can I do something about this ? In this sitting position, I am facing East to South which is good as I'm a East Group person. Another possible cubicle without columns have a South to West direction. I am not sure which is a better choice for me. 1. For this month, you should not place the plant at the SE sector. 2. The most effective way to neutralise #3 is to leave the light on say for a few hours e.g. in the night say from 7.30pm to 10pm. (Those who havea table lamp with a timer is best.) 3. Alternatively, place some red coloured items at the SE sector to neutralise #3. (Assuming that there are no nasty additional #5 in that sector). Akay J. wrote: Hi first of all, i want to say that i appreciate your helpful advice. i just found out that monthly flying star 3 will land in southeast sector this month. this also happens to be the upper right corner from my entrance where i happen to have a plant as i wanted t…

1. Frankly, your question is too general. 2. If you are really interested in a home, it is always a good investment to consider Feng Shui service like "Can or cannot buy" especially if one has superficial knowledge of Feng Shui. 3. For example; the pros and cons include:- 3.1. How suitable is the house to the breadwinner(s) 3.2. What is the Flying Star facing direction? 3.3. What is the external Shapes and Forms Feng Shui of the home or apartment like. 4. What you have mentioned is only a tiny "prick" of shapes and forms of the centrepoint + toilet + kitchen 5. In addition to 3.1 to 3.3. many other considerations include where is the stove situated; is the stove fac…

As most of us are aware of the holy trinity of luck; I am sure as a loving parent you have taken as much effort in your son's human or man luck factors. As for his environment, I suppose, where he spents most of his time, this is his earth luck or Feng Shui. This is equally important as some sectors may have some Feng Shui issues; and often bazi or Heaven Luck is used to try to improve and harmonize with the earth luck. This is apparently unknown, here.

1. In my opinion, this is pretty similar to a walk-in wardrope (without doors). 2. From a Feng Shui point of view; there should not be any major issue; Visually, it may not look nice; only. 3. For exact colour, often it depends on the Flying Star numbers of a sector and in relation to a person's ba zi element. And not based on your description of west.. south... 4. Sometimes, installing beads or curtains.. if not changed or cleaned often may not be "hygenic". For example, if we hang a set of curtains; and don't change it for three or six months; the material may be a hive of germs. And I cannot think that each time we brush our face against this material; germs.. depo…

thank you very much for your prompt reply. I feel more confident now to use the balcony as my direction. If I can further intrude on you, if I were to change from period 7 to period 8, some sources mentioned to change a new door, roof/ceiling and floor/carpet. As such, do I change my entrance door to a brand new door or do I change the balcony sliding doors since my direction is based on the balcony's direction? Thanks in advance. brgds, Vincent

Hi Angela, Angela Le wrote: I wrote last time, but you werent' able to answer because my picture did not attach. My question was, "how would you read the main entrance if the main front door faces west and the garage faces west too, but when you park your car in the garage and use the garage door to enter the home, it falls on the SW Line. So which one is it if you use the garage door as your main entrance? West or SW? Since your home is a landed property, you take the facing from the main door entry (not from the car garage). This will also be the general facing of your home. Either way, both faces West. As such your home is considered a West house. This is the general …

Hi, This is really a none issue under Traditional Feng Shui practise. You can consider the " role of tassels " generally under `customs or supersition ' and not Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- In general, the frontage of the home should have `clear space'. One has to be `careful' of water feature i.e. it should allow clear space at the frontage. Thus a pool of water at ground level repesents such a clear space. A water fountain e.g. circular one can also be considered a water position that provides clear space. However, a fish tank those that has standing legs do not necessary represent clear space as it may be quite high. Here, it looks more like a `mountain of water'. In your situation, between placing a water position after the door and placing it outside the frontage: it is best or preferred to place a water position outsi…

Dear Anon, This has more to do with Chinese beliefs than Feng Shui. There is therefore differences of opinion between those who choose to keep the birds caged and those who are against it. Keeping even a pair of live birds is to some Chinese, not a good thing because, it signifies cruelty i.e. akin to imprisoning the birds. The belief is that birds should be `born free'. Dear Bradley Hope, Bradley Hope wrote: Can some one please explain the Flying Star chart to me. Flying Star is the use of numerology to assess the luck of the house. It is made up of numbers 1 to 9. Where 8 is the mountain star, 4 is the base star, 3 is the water star.Together it will allow a practitioner to understand and assess the Qi of the house. Dear Cahaya Harapan, Cahaya Harapan wrote: I want to activate water star in front of my house so I bought a small waterfall. I confuse about the flow of waterfall, flowing outside or inside is the right one ? You should always remember that water is considered wealth. So ideally water should try flow inwards. To symoblise wealth flowing into the house. Should you have any water fountain, then it water should not spurt outwards. Else it wouldbe like wealth flowing outwards. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, I believe these are `modern' books. We are aware that charcoal can be used to neutralise odour e.g. in a fridge. Perhaps, those who recommended using coal is on the same concept e.g. to `absorb'... something... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Yumeko, 1. Usually, it is advisable not to do anything prior to the `symbolic move'. 2. However, the customs differ greatly. And some may:- 2.1 Sprinkle rice and/or salt. 2.2 Some bring in a pair of mandarin oranges (where the oranges represent gold). Frankly, majority simply go in and open the door when one get's the key. As mentioned, if one wants to do a `ritual' or first time opening of the door, one can do nothing or any of the above or more. In my opinion besides rice and/or salt; there are too many variations e.g. placement of Red Packets (ang pow); purchase of `Huat Quay' Warmest Regards, Cecil
