Dear Master Lee, Thank you for your prompt reply. Cecil L. wrote: 7. These are some of the considerations:- 1. A partition need not necessarily be "air-tight". Many acceptable partitions have see through design. 2. Often it is considered not to use reflective glass facing the main door for two reasons:- 2.1. Symbolically, if the glass is highly reflective and facing the main door; one may inadvertently "reflect one's weath" out of the main door. 2.2. For some, when opening the door, one can see one's reflection (shadow) on the partition and some may think that there is "someone" in the apartment. 2.3. Often, some may use sand-blasted or opaque film at the main door side. While the inner side can still be a reflective surface. 3. For asthet…

Further to what I had mentioned; 1. House hunting report is just like one module out of the whole Holistic approach to Feng Shui. 2. For example, in accountancy; even accounting softwares have different modules for different needs; and these modules are specialised e.g. Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable;Inventory, Summary Reports: P & L etc...

Dear Sharlene, Usually this term is used under Flying Star Feng Shui. Under Ba Zi, the equivalent is quite close to"nobleman" luck or indirect luck. So general, it ecompass anything to do with "indirect" luck such as luck for say the woman of the home - in her career luck. And often, it also refers to "indirect" luck that give rise to financial success. For example, the breadwinner is/was able to purchase stocks that "suddenly" rise in value etc.. Or a business opportunity out-of-the-bluethat brought alot of $$$ to the breadwinner. Warmest Regards, Cecil Sharlene Soh wrote: Dear Master, Could you please elaborate what is indirect spirit? 1. Please refer to another similar thread:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27373&new= 2. It relates to "Commonsense-Feng Shui". The most obivious is to have a neat and tidy kitchen cum service yard area. And perhaps, some door as another user wanted to install in the above thread. 3. Commonsense dictate that in most situations; it is highly unlikely or impractical for a home owner to close the door be ita sliding or swinging door most of the time. However, in the event that one has guests, then; one could easily close this door. Especially in a practical world, one still has to hang clothes unless one uses a washing machine c…

Dear Anon, For your question on " Is it necessary to hang it "; I have mentioned in detail under the last message " Does pakua needs to be prayed upon in order for it to be effect. In the above reply, I have mentioned that there are two main uses of the Ba Gua mirror: 1. To deflect poison arrow. 2. To ward off evil spirits. I have dealth in detail the above. Please see below:- 1. The most important point to remember is to hang it according to the First Heaven Sequence formation. Info about the First Heaven Sequence is found at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/pakua.htm 2. One more point is that it should not be hang inside the house. It should be hang facing out of the hou…

Hi Cecil Thanks for your advice. Currently, the water feature is on a separate table at a lower level than where the Kuan Yin is seated. As suggested, I will try to place a lotus leaf (real or artificial) in the water feature as well. Thanks.

Dear Cecil and Robert, I am having such difficulty with the placement of my furniture; especially the bedroom. taking compass direction seems to be difficult. This is because I've read that directions are measured by degrees. My questions are... Where do I place my bed? My auspicious directions are NORTHWEST, NORTHEAST, SOUTHWEST, and WEST. As I have tried to situate my bed. It is definitely impossible. Although I have a bedroom measurements of 11'- 4" X 14" - 6" I CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE PLACEMENT CORRECT. The WEST is a WALK IN CLOSET and the ENTRANCE to my BEDROOM. NORTHWEST is DIRECTLY BEHIND the DOOR. SOUTHWEST is the CORNER of the WALK-IN CLOSET, AND NORTHEAST is adjac…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello I'm confused as to which time I'm supposed to put to calculate my ba zi chart. Are you supposed to always use Beijing, China time or do you put the time for where you born? I was born in New York, USA after 2am on March 17, 1981. Do I use that time and date, or do I have to convert it to china time and date? 1. The only true way to factor in location is to apply the long. (longitude) and lat. (latitude) of birth. However, in reality how many people actually record the exact long. and lat. of birth? I mean even if you know you are born roughly in a hospital, the hospital also have different long. and lat. depending on which part of the b…

1. The most common "cure" is to have:- 1.1 Installing lamp post(s) at the perimeter, so that from top view, it "forms" an outline of the home. Preferably, this perimeter light(s) are turned on say in the evening. So from an aerial view, it "makes" the house profile look "rectangular". 1.2 In addition to the above, if one does landscaping, it should try to follow the profile of the "missing" corners". Again, imagine this from an aerial view. 2. This is the best that can be done, under such circumstances. 3. In addition, if you can apply Flying star Feng Shui, try to check the qi at various sectors of the "openings" it could be a window or patio door or say main door o…

Hi, As mentioned in a recent message, Chinese Astrology uses only the Year of birth of a person. Chinese Astrology based on just the Year of Birth although do give a general `profile' is less accurate than analysing `clashes' undertaken by the powerful Pillars of Destiny which analyses not only the year of birth but, month, day and if possible also the time element. A `small' horse figurine in the south should not pose any problem even if you are a mouse/rat unless, it is a warrior riding the horse with weapons such as a spear, or gun etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some considerations: 1. One question that is relevant here is : "Can I rewind time or go back to the past to change things?" 2. As at today, it is impossible to go back to the past. 3. Same, thing, here. You can't 4. The concept: The Three-Step-Approach 4.1. This concept of house number belongs to the branch of Feng Shui called : Compass School of Feng Shui. 4.2. This sub-branch is based on Flying Star Feng Shui. But because each different levels are considered to have different qi; it is literally known as VERTICAL Flying Star Feng Shui. 5. It is more useful for someone who is looking at a new development and where the units are just launched. And one can try t…

Dear Anon, In the ancient Chinese book known as Yang Zhai Shi Shu, this type of house is described as inauspicious and the result that the family members staying in the house cannot be rich. This is considered less auspicious than some other building layouts which can range from death occuring twice in a year to the breadwinner meeting a calamity. Frankly, there is really nothing one can do other than to `brighten' up the house and others include placing e.g. such as placing fu fu dogs/dragons or more offensive FS cures such as canons on the pillars of the gate of the house. Dear Eva, 1. This has more to do with `safety' then Feng Shui. But because of this, many Feng Shui practittioners (advise) that one should not have the bedroom above kitchen stove. (Especially if it is directly. As some may argue that it may `burn' a relationship.) 2. In my personal opinion, you are not using a business stove with very high flames and is not cooking at night. 3. If you have a smoke detector, all the better. More concern is the million to one chance of a kitchen catching fire and as fire travels upwards, this is the `cause for concern. ' Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Daniel, Tai Sui in the West for example means that you should avoid disturbing him especially for renovations. Having a fish tank there does not affect the Tai Sui in anyway. So don't really think you will need to do anything. Whether or not you should relocate the fish tank depends more on the flying star analysis ie where is the water wealth sector this year for best luck. That I will not be able to advise you here unless an analysis is done. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Cecil, Thanks a lot for your reply. My FS element is weak metal( 31st Oct 1956) and my husband's FS elementis weak water( 11th April 1953). Out main door is in 165 degrees. Dear Andy, An event's manager may be considered as a wood element. While a nutritionist especially if you do provide frequent advise to people can also be considered directly as belonging to the wood element. As wood element is about "growth/ nurturing", teaching, training andin thecase of an event's manager co-ordination. If so, if we strictly based on the FiveElements concept, metal destroys wood to create wealth. Thus without considering your personal traits or preferences, both are suppose to acceptable to you. Dear Tristan, 1. In some divorce cases, it is advisable to check that Qi does not flow from the main entrance door and exit directly through the windows. In my opinion, there are higher rates of divorce under Para 1 (especially landed properties). 2. In your case, it is difficult to provide further comments as each house is different and as FS is a holistic method, it involves looking at your Pillars of Destiny, your home birth chart (Flying Star) etc... Thus I am unable to comment further than the above. 3. However, other than Shapes and Form Feng Shui, each house can be different for different owners i.e. it may not be suitable for the earlier couple but could be suit…
