Dear Anon, 1. So far, I do not see any issue relating to the type of floor pattern used e.g. in the kitchen. 2. In my opinion, just about any "normal" design laid tiles. For example from plain pattern to checked are perfectly ok. 3. The more concern is on Yin and Yang. For example, if the house is long and narrow e.g. North-South alignment; and if there are no windows on the East or West, this can be quite dark - particularly in the kitchen. 4. Thus, for such a situation, it is advisable not to use e.g. dark or black tiles. 5. Nowadays, when I review or do audits for my clients, I do get to see units that are of this configuration. 6. For example, this condominium was …

  2. Please read my original reply. Since you are so concern about the glass piece; and as I had mentioned earlier, it just takes one or two friends or relatives to "spoill" the *YOUR* mood. In Feng Shui, it is still acceptable, since when you close the toilet door, it will still be air-tight. Please re-read my past message. Human beings are always like this: if someone gives you an inauspicious comment, followed by some other people, would you feel uncomfortable! Thus has more to do with human factors - feel good or feel bad...

More apologies! I seem to be having difficulty getting to know the site and the correct way to post - now my floorplan has become detached from my question! Please bear with me and let me repeat. I am Gua 2, my husband also (from Gua 5). Our (employer provided) house is period 7, SE 1 (122 degrees). My first concern is whether the external back hallway, shared with one neighbour upstairs (the house was originally built as one and later divided into two flats by creating our 'back door'), or whether I should treat it as a 'missing corner' in a U-shaped plan. My second concern is about the positioning of our bed. Our bedroom window is in the SW of the room and faces SW, bed…

    1. Please note that a home can be considered as falling into any one of the 24 sectors. And there are differences in where your home frontage is (main door) etc... As ALL landed property would normally have two or three exit drainage points: and 1 or 2 are meant for wealth luck. and the 3rd exit point is usually for "Power and authority" (e.g. a politician, staying a home can weld great power or a boss / CEO). 2. Thus, all these new proper analysis. It is not like typing a few sentences and then "you get your answers immediately". http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F#IS_THE_DRAINAGE_OF_MY_HOUSE_IMPORTANT.3F 3. Dear Jon, For plants, it is acceptable to have plants in or outside the home. The important thing to remember are:- 1. Avoid having a lone large tree in the front of the house. 2. For plants, avoid too many plants at the North East (Devil's Gate), West (Yin location) and South West (Devil's Backdoor). The reason for the above is that too many plants especially large plants create too `yin' an environment. This may create an imbalance in the surrounding and attract `spirits' to stay at the location. Another point to note is to keep the plants `neat' and `trim'. For other locations, it is also good not to have too many plants concentrated at a location also. In your case,…

Moderator's Note: The reply to this is under " More Grand Duke Questions" Hi. I see there's questions about construction in the East. My question is: Would there be any ill effects from tearing out flower beds in the W and SW, and building a raised bed in the NE this year? The earth *would* be disturbed by putting in rebar to hold the timbers down in the NE and taking out rebar in the W and SW. If there is the possibility of ill effects, it would definitely be worth waiting until next year. Your input is very much appreciated. Thanks, julie

Dear Rochiel, In my opinion, it is very diffcult to apply `sector' Feng Shui to one's life. As Feng Shui is all about luck, it would be best that one applies a holistic approach in trying to increase one's luck. However, under Flying Star Feng Shui, there is the #mountain / #water combination and for certain houses, their will be abundant romance luck; while for other houses non-exisitent. What can we learn from this? It is not always easy to rely soley on " Feng Shui " for our romance luck. And pin our hopes in it. We would have to "actively" pursit romance.. either letting friends know etc.... As to having flowers real or artificial; in my opinion, it is acceptable in …

Dear Michaella, There are two points of view here:- 1. Yin and Yang concept On a superficial level, or based on Yin and Yang concept: Flowers create more Yang than Yin. And in a bedroom, usually, `more' Yin is preferred than Yang in a bedroom. Where Yin environment is considered more conducive for `rest'. However, like the placement of mirrors; some of us feel uncomfortable with mirror(s) facing the bed while for others; it is fine. 2. Balance of the Five elements concept This involves a deeper understanding of the Five elements concept. Here, for example, Flying Star analysis is used to check for any imbalances in a sector (if any). For example, if there is bad earth ele…

Hi! Cecil,Thanks for your reply.I hope I have put my questions clearly this time. The room is located East and I draw a flying star chart period 7 main door facing S2 172.5 to 187.5 and the star in the East section, are 5 base star and 5 Mountain 9 Facing Star. ( I think?) The Bread winner's Kua is 8. and he sleeps in a North room. Please could you tel me what should I do for the room in the East? The person in that room has Kua 7. My main worry is that the room in the East doesn't have good stars. Also one more question how do you find out what is a good Mt & water star and what is bad. Thanks, Regards.

Dear Kieren, Please see below:- If your main door is Big Earth, then water is wealth not fire element. However, since you are a weak fire person, it can be quite disasterous for you to apply water here. Unlike a strong fire person, water at this position is favourable. But in your case i.e. weak fire (before, you even try to do the above) you will be affected by the repercussions of "water" element at this position e.g. painting the door blue. In your situtation, you can still use a red carpet for two reasons: 1. Red is always considered an auspicious colour 2. The second reason may not be that effective as adding fire to `fire' although is acceptable; it is not as…

Dear Master Lee, I just had a quick browse on my house number using your free analysis. The answer I got was "troubled mother". I assume this is referring to me since I own the flat. Also, yes, i am always troubled by my son's issues, health, growth, learning problem etc. In such cases, what is the advice to improve the situation? Or do I have to move house? How to find a lucky house number? Or what can be done? Thank you Regards Tammie

Dear Samantha, Basically, the applying of the Eight House or Flying Star is done just as in the Step 7 of this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-house1.htm Each sector is 45 degree in range. So as long as the bedroom or sector falls under that 45 degree range, then the cures or fixes should be applied within that sector. Usually at the wall or window that is in that sector range. The best example that I can give you is this sample report that Cecil does for his clients in a Full Audit. http://www.geomancy.net/consultation/consult-home/onsiteconsultationsample-layout.htm You need to break up the sectors into the different sectors, then evaluate wha…
