Dear Anon, Before I elaborate on your question, I like to share with you a little about the Compass School Theory such as the Flying Star theory. In my opinion, I believe that one way of looking at Feng Shui audit lies with the inclination of the Feng Shui practioner. I mentioned in a few forum messages sometime back that some of us are more inclined to being a Left brain while others are Right brained. I mentioned `inclined' because unlike the continuum of Hot and Cold, most of us are somewhere in the `middle'. We are not totally `left' or `right'. Some of us are more artistic, spatial etc.. On the other end, others are `logical', enjoys mathematics etc... To a certain …

Dear Anon, In a recent upgrade of the Members Area, the Free flying star analysis report on the website is no longer limited in anyway. Although, the support for it will still be limited. As we do not have the time to explain to each user who post us the full chart and expect us to explain it. A full version is already available which does a comprehensive analysis, where Cecil and myself can then focus not on the calculation but rather the actual application of the report. The free report will then allow you to make your own conclusion on your house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Cecil Many thanks for the reply. To be very frank, all this while I thought our hse facing is NE. Since last year all by sudden our son's health was affected I did not follow-up the fengshui but yet I do support your forum. Looks like now its more refreshing course again for me. I'm sorry if I'm asking too much of it.I have a question thatneedyour guidence. Since our house gua 1 Kan (North3) Excellent and main door NE2(Spook) compare the breadwinner gua 2 (Kun).North direction is his Death but NE is his Prosperity does that mean the house is not suitable to him. Lately, our business was affected too. As I know bazi is to involved into it. The business was involved…

Dear Bradley Hope, Bradley Hope wrote: Can some one please explain the Flying Star chart to me. Flying Star is the use of numerology to assess the luck of the house. It is made up of numbers 1 to 9. Depending on how the number interacts with each other, you get different analysis or interpretations. Each sector is usually made up of 3 basic numbers (ie. 8-4-3). Where 8 is the mountain star, 4 is the base star, 3 is the water star.Together it will allow a practitioner to understand and assess the Qi of the house. Dear Fiona, Yes, I do agree with your analysis. Under Period 8, if your home has a SE 2 Flying star chart; it is not really a fantastic chart since only the front and back have good numbers. Otherwise, as you had mentioned, majority of the other sectors under SE 2 (P8) needs attention. Therefore, it is like a double edged sword, if the home were to fly to Period 8. No, although there is the pearl string, but you still need to place a cure for star #7 especially at the frontage. However, once this is neutralised; this is fair game:) Do use the alternative door, you mentioned. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Joyce, 1. I am not sure if you are familiar with the atttached method of finding the main door of the house:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm 2. If you have the layout plan and have difficulty finding the centrepoint e.g. especially if the house has many missing corners, then you - scan and attached it to this forum for me to help locate the centrepoint. Alternatively, you can email me for my fax no. (if need be). 3. I believe, the description you mentioned in finding the main entrance may not be `correct' as what I can understand. You need to be at the centrepoint of the house and from there, find the direction of the main entrance door. There may be dev…

Dear Master Cecil, As I was going through the FLYING STAR CHART for my home where I had done the comparing chart between PERIOD 7 HOME under period 8 vs PERIOD 8 HOME under period 8.Obviously there were a few things which I feel to need to cross check and determine whether it is best to "transform" my home into PERIOD 8.Anyway, my home faces WEST 2 (270). FIRSTLY, NOTICE THAT MOST OF THE HOUSE BEDROOM SECTOR REPRESENT AUSPICIOUS COMBINATION IF REMAIN UNDER PERIOD 7 HOME.WHERE ESLE,IF PERIOD 8 NOTED STAR #5 #2 AND # 7 ARE THERE. SECONDLY,THE MAIN DOOR AREA AND CENTRE AREA UNDER PERIOD 8 HOME CONSIST AUSPICIOUS COMBINATION ESPECIALLY DOUBLE STAR # 8 ON THE MAIN DOOR AREA. T…

1. The smart, gets good advise the first time they search for a new home. They do it once, RIGHT, that's all. And the smart goes to concentrate on better things to do! 2. The ignorant, buys the home and then pays Feng Shui emporiums to stock their homes with rubbish products. 3. The ignorant, also asks Geomancers for first-aid in the form of "pasting elastoplast" all over their "leaking" home. So which is more important? Invest in advise to purchase a good home? Or wait until the home is purchased before calling a Geomancer to apply first-aid to resuccitate the home?

1. It is not rocket science as all flying star numbers are either classifed as eitherYang or Yin (stars). 2. In the earlier example of a Period 8, N3 home (or apartment); it just happens that there are a high concentration of Yin stars at the North and NE. 3. Thus, especially if we draw a 20 Year Flying Star Chart; and like para 2, found that all the 20 Year stars belong to Yin element, then it is considered as Excessive Yin stars. 4. In both of the cases e.g. North and NE of the above, "fire" element is used to counter the excessive yin stars. Fire can simply be allowing light into that area or room i.e. keep it bright. Otherwise, especially in period where the Year …

Dear Ivy, Thanks for your comments and your personal experience on the use of the Flying Star theory. As for the Flying Star course, I am still currently working on it and refining it. My believe is not to `rush' and put up a course but rather, the quality that matters. I will e-mail you at your address given once the course materials is launched. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear C VU, 1. Yes, in terms of enhancements, we often look at e.g. #mountain and #water stars 2. For example if the frontage or facing position has #7 mountain with #7 water; then since there are metal elements, "water" can be added. 3. But it is equally wrong if we ignore the base #. In addition, we also need to look at the 81 combinations of #mountain and #water stars. 4. As a recap:- 4.1 look at #mountain and #water in relation to the specific location. For example, if the back of the house or mountain side has #7 with #7, then, we must study closely whether we can activate it properly (or not). 4.2 We also need to look at #mountain vs #water vs #base number or the pal…

Dear Jez, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Thursday, February 25, 1999 5:39 AM Subject: Double 7 on the North Is this a period 7 house? If it is, it is an excellent sector. If it falls under the main door it will bring prosperity for the entire house. In the bedroom, does that direction has a windows? If it does, you can put a fan near the window, to blow in the wind, activating the prosperity for the room. Otherwise, the other method is to user a fountain. But as it is the bedroom it is not advisable:) Hope that helps you:) Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, So far, Lillian Too has a Chinese Numerology Book. It is quite difficult to digest thou as this is not one of her `best works'. In my opinion, she is better writing books on Shapes and Form books. One can enhance oneself by knowing the a person's birth element and strength. Sorry, I am not sure what is your question as we are usually moving around. Unless you are referring to constantly `facing' a poison arrow. I believe not much unless one try using more Yang than yin. E.g. brighter clothing. I am not sure how effective this is. If so, try to wear clothing that enhances your birth element e.g. weak water person can try to wear a blue clothing/shirt. W…

1. Recently, I was tasked to do a town planning (severalthousand ha) for a third-world country. For such a large size, Shapes and Form Feng Shui is the first consideration. 2. It is not true that Flying Star applies only to "after" built up. Locally, many Singaporeans, get us to either do a major Additions and alternation works (A & A). And Flying Star is used widely especially to determine: where qi comes into the home or tap good qi; "lock up" bad qi etc.... 3. In past forum messages, Flying Star chart is like a pie, it can it be a small one or extended out towards the properties marker line or zone. 4. For a plot of land, even if we use Flying star, Shapes and…

Dear Anon, 1. `sum of ten', double 7 and double 8 are strictly based on Xuan Kong or Flying Star Feng Shui. 2. `Sum of Ten' For example, if the #numbers add up to 10; then this is considered as an auspicious number. Often, this is factored into under the Eight-One combination where the 9 by 9 luo shu grid when ( times ) X together i.e. 9 x 9 = 81 combinations. Here, for example, a Flying star numerology of #2 combined with #8 which when added equals sum #10. This is considered an auspicious number (interpretation). 3. Double 7's and Double 8's This is the most popular concept. Where for example since we are now under Period 7; if the main entrance or door has double 7's e…

Dear Mark, Frankly, it is best to look at all the stars at one go. Rather than looking at it separately. 3 - Strong Wood,5 -Strong Earth, 6 - Strong Metal Looking at the bad stars, 5 Strong Earth is exhausted by both Strong Metal and Strong Wood. So the star 5 impact in that sector is not an issue. Strong Wood is also controled by Strong Metal. So also neutralised. So even if you do not do anything most of the stars are almost neutralised. However, this is no harm in adding some Metal cures to further strengthen the sector. A little Water and Fire will also not do much harm as it will then create a full five element harmony (Wood -

Dear Robert and Cecil, I just ran a flying star report for my gas station. The Southeast sector concerns me because that's where my convenient store, half of the front door to the gas station and my cash register are located. In the Southeast sector, the 20-year star (star 5) vs. the year star (also star 5) which form an inauspicious combination and the solution is to use METAL to exhaust and weaken earth. The mountain star (star 8) vs. water star (star 4) also form an inauspicious combination and the proposed solution is to use METAL to destroy and control wood. Is it OK if I hang a 6-hollow rod metal windchime outside the front door AND a 6-coin-tied-with-red-string abo…

Dear Anon, Usually, when the year the house was built is in question, we normally use two different period house which we suspect the house to be built and then do a comparison to see which is more likely to be thechart that is present in your home. If you can tell for sure when you had any major renovation done, then you can be pretty sure which chart influence is still present for your home. Period 6 (1964-1983) while Period 7 (1984-2003). Now we are in Period 8 (2004-2023). Generally, if you had any major renovation done in period 7, then it is very likely that your house belong to the period 7, else it will still remain as a period 6 chart. So unless there was a m…
